OOC: So I decided to take Daniel in a different direction now, since the current way I was writing him just seemed to be boring to me and I wasn't writing as well as I could have. This is just the start of a new direction for Daniel Bryan, so it's not too long now but I had a bit of fun writing it.
Any feedback for this would be greatly appreciated.
Daniel Bryan had been in a slump since losing in the King of the Ring Tournament, he hadn't been able to string together wins, he lost opportunities to compete for championships and worst of all he was losing to entertainers and not actual wrestlers. This was all effecting his psyche, he was becoming increasingly agitated and he had now gone from having a clean shaven look when entering EBWF to now possessing a bushy beard. If he wasn't working for a high profile company he would be mistaken for a homeless person. His clothes were becoming tattered and he didn't look professional in the eyes of the fans, and more importantly the EBWF management. After losing the triple threat match to Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan had "cracked" and looked more unstable than before. After noticing this, EBWF officials had kept him off television for the past two weeks and he had been seeking therapy during his absence. He participated in group sessions and intense individual sessions, all aimed at changing who he had become. Everyone was hesitant about having Daniel back and they were all unsure as to whether he had been "fixed". Peoria, Illinois was the location for Warfare and Daniel Bryan was set to take on Jay Briscoe, the man who had defeated him and knocked him out of the King of the Ring tournament, he was also the other opponent in the triple threat match that was won by Cody Rhodes. Because Daniel Bryan had only recently been released from his intense therapy sessions he was watched over by his therapist, Doctor Andrews. Daniel sat in his locker room with Dr. Andrews watching him closely, Daniel was dressed to compete and wore one of his signature jackets over his shoulders. There was a knock on the door and Dr. Andrews stood up and went to the door and opened it slightly to see who it was. He mumbled a few words to the person outside before shutting the door and walking to Daniel.
Dr. Andrews: Ok, Daniel there are some people here who want to speak to you. I'm going to stay here as well to make sure that you are alright.
Daniel didn't respond and remained silent, staring at the ground. Dr. Andrews went to the door and opened it and Matt Striker entered the room with a camera man behind him. Dr. Andrews told them about Daniel's mental state as they were getting ready for the interview.
Dr. Andrews: Daniel, can you stand up for Matt here? He wants to ask you a few questions.
Daniel stood up quietly and stood next to Matt Striker. Daniel still had a bushy beard and messy hair, and his silent and stoic nature made Striker feel uneasy. Dr. Andrews stood outside the shot as Matt started the interview.
Matt Striker: Welcome everybody to Warfare live from the iWireless Center and we're one week out from the 500th Warfare. Tonight we have Damien Sandow taking on Chris Sabin for the Path to Glory Championship, Zack Ryder taking on Bret Hart and Jay Briscoe taking on Daniel Bryan in a rematch of their King of the Ring quarter final match up. With me at this time is Daniel Bryan and Daniel I have to say, you've been in a slump recently how are you going to get out of it?
Daniel looked at the camera and stood silently, he looked disinterested and focused on other things.
Matt Striker: Uhhh Daniel? How are you going to defeat Jay Briscoe?
Daniel looked down now, away from the camera and whispered his response.
Daniel Bryan: I'm going to win...
Matt Striker looked very confused and looked off camera to Dr. Andrews and spoke quietly so the camera wouldn't pick up.
Matt Striker: This guy is crazy, how is he even allowed to wrestle?
Daniel looked up sharply, hearing the word "crazy" and he immediately turned to Striker.
Daniel Bryan: I'M NOT CRAZY!
Matt stood back, surprised by the outburst from Daniel Bryan.
Matt Striker: Uhh I- uh...
Striker was trying to find something to say to help remedy the situation but couldn't think of anything. He tried to go back to the interview, hoping Daniel would respond well to that.
Matt Striker: Jay Briscoe has defeated you before, will he do it again?
Daniel Bryan: NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
Daniel kept screaming his response and wouldn't stop.
Matt Striker: Ok, ok. How are you going to defeat him?
Daniel stopped screaming and looked at Striker, then grabbed his arm and dragged him to the ground before locking on the Lebell Lock. He wrenched back and Striker began tapping. Daniel held onto Striker and began yelling again.
Daniel Bryan: YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Dr. Andrews had to step in and grabbed Daniel and tried to get him off. Daniel struggled initially before letting go and Dr. Andrews grabbed him and began to take him out of the locker room.
Daniel Bryan: YES! YES! YES! YES!
Daniel kept screaming as he was dragged out of the locker room. Dr. Andrews managed to get him out and slammed the door as Striker lay on the ground in pain with the camera man still filming.
