OOC: So I managed to get some time to sit down and write for a while which has made me really enjoy writing this. As usual if anyone has any feedback at all it would be greatly appreciated.


EBWF had thrived over the last decade and on Monday Warfare would reach 500 episodes on the air. It would also mark 4 years in EBWF for the multi generation star, Ted DiBiase. Four years had completely changed Ted's wrestling career. He had gone from the bottom of the pile in WWE, to becoming a tag team champion and subsequently leaving after a dull championship reign. Ted entered EBWF as a wrestler who had grown up with wrestling his entire life, and while in WWE his father got him his foot in the door, in EBWF relations meant nothing. Ted's start in EBWF was rocky, with mixed results against some sturdy competition but after a few months he became the number one contender to the X-Division Championship, but never got an opportunity to face the champion for the title. After a brief romance angle with Kelly Kelly he got his chance to impress everyone when the World Championship was vacated and a tournament was announced which featured wrestlers who had never previously held the World Championship. Ted overcame odds and worked his way through the tournament, even defeating the favourite of the tournament in the semi-finals. Unfortunately Ted lost the final match against CM Punk and that match started a feud between the two that led Ted to his first World Championship. Ted had also won the Tag Team Championships as well with his partner at the time Cody Rhodes. After losing the World Championship he soon lost the Tag Team Championships as well. Ted went off the radar for a while, losing a string of matches and not going near the World Championship that he once held. He then won the Tag Team Championships again and held them for several months before losing them. Ted was then injured severely by Paul London and was out for 6 months. After countless physical therapy sessions and rehabilitation, Ted made his return when he aided AJ Styles in winning the Intercontinental Championship and joined forces with him and The Miz to become The Trilogy. The three then went on to have a very successful several months, with AJ winning the Royal Rumble, The Miz winning the World Championship and Ted winning the Path to Glory Championship. Around Wrestlemania The Trilogy dissolved and the three began to feud before The Miz was put out of action with an injury. Ted went on to hold the Path to Glory Championship for a record length of time, eclipsing the inaugural champion CM Punk and also surpassing the record for the longest reign in EBWF history. After holding the championship for 11 months and having a string of high profile wins against great competition, Ted lost the Path to Glory Championship. Since then Ted has been trying to reclaim the form that he once had and win titles, but after an unsuccessful Royal Rumble and losing a match against John Cena at Wrestlemania, Ted has been left in limbo. Four years has been a long length of time in terms of Ted's career. The last four years were the most productive of his career and the most fulfilling, having broken records and held the World Championship he had lived his dream and was rewarded for his hard work. He still wanted to achieve many more things in the years to come and he still had a long way to go before his career was done. At the age of 30 he was entering his prime and had at least another ten years before hanging up the boots. For the 500th edition of Warfare, Ted DiBiase was set to face Syxx in what would be a rematch from their Summerslam encounter. After speaking about wrestlers being out of their prime and hogging the spotlight, Ted failed to back his words up and lost the match against Syxx. Ted wanted to secure the victory tonight, not only because it was the 500th Warfare but because he wanted to desperately avenge his loss. He spoke to great lengths about deserving the spotlight and he knew more than anyone that only winners get the spotlight.

Paul Heyman had been representing AJ Styles and Ted DiBiase recently, and while AJ had become a much more prominent figure in EBWF Ted hadn't reached the heights that Heyman had anticipated. AJ Styles had recently won a match against the interim CEO Chris Jericho and was then fined $100,000 for hitting Jericho multiple times in the head. This vicious streak from AJ had drew the ire of Syxx, who interrupted AJ's speech on Warfare and had some choice words for him. The following week AJ made things personal by attacking Syxx's good friend Scott Hall and his assault on Hall made way for the return of Kevin Nash who came to the aid of his fallen friend. Ted knew that Syxx would be looking to make an example out of Ted, especially after the actions of Styles in recent weeks. Ted however wanted the victory to spur on a new streak for the multi generation superstar. The Freedom Hall was the location of the momentous Warfare and Ted sat quietly in his locker room while Paul Heyman paced back and forth lecturing the young wrestler.

Paul Heyman: Do you remember what Syxx did at Summerslam? Do you remember that he pinned you?

Ted Jr: I remember Paul, I was there you know.

Paul Heyman: THEN START ACTING LIKE YOU GIVE A DAMN!

Paul was stressed and annoyed at the calmness of DiBiase. Ted stood up and faced Heyman.

Ted Jr: Of course I give a damn! Do you think I like going out there and losing? Do you think I like not having a championship around my waist?

Paul Heyman: Well you better get some results, because I don't represent losers. You can act like you don't give a shit if you win. At least AJ backs up what he says. AJ beat Jericho and tonight AJ is going to win the Path to Glory Championship.

Ted Jr: AJ this, AJ that. Fuck AJ. You're in my locker room, you're representing me as well as AJ. Don't forget that I made that Path to Glory Championship something. Look at it now, rejects and losers trading it back and forth.

Paul Heyman: You approached me to represent you because you have faith in what I bring to the table. This is a mutually beneficial agreement that we have here Teddy. I can mould you and turn you into someone, but you need to win matches and championships. Look back at who I used to represent, Big Show, Brock Lesnar, and Rob Van Dam. All of them were somebodies and all of them were champions. They weren't losers. They weren't guys who were at the bottom of the card. They were the guys that main evented, stole the show and won the greatest championships. You have unlimited potential Ted and you know it as well as I do. You just need to back everything you say in that ring. Syxx doesn't even care that he's facing you. You heard what he said at Summerslam, you're a freaking nobody. And what did you do? You lay down for him.

Ted Jr: You want an example made of Syxx tonight? Just make sure you're back here watching a screen when I kick his ass. Now get out of my damn locker room now.

Tensions were high and Paul had a brief stare down with DiBiase before exiting the locker room. As Paul opened the door, Matt Striker was waiting to enter along with a camera man.

Matt Striker: I just wanted to get your thoughts on facing Syxx tonight on the 500th edition of Warfare?

Ted Jr: You wanna know what I think about Syxx? I know he doesn't care one bit about facing me tonight, in fact in his mind he believes that he's being punished by facing me. He defeated me at Summerslam, there's no two ways about that. I wasn't good enough on the night. Tonight however is the biggest Warfare of the year, hell in history. 500 episodes of Warfare is a night where there will be celebrations and reminiscing. But for me tonight is about business, it's about going out there and winning at all costs because I don't have a hell of a lot to lose.

Matt Striker: Since this is the 500th episode of Warfare, what is your favourite Warfare moment?

Ted Jr: Competing against CM Punk in the finals of the World Championship tournament in 2010. That was the moment that made both of us stars in EBWF.

Matt Striker: Syxx defeated you the last time you two met at Summerslam, how is tonight going to be any different?

Ted Jr: It's going to be different because I lost at Summerslam, I know what it's like to lose to him and I'm not a fan of it. He doesn't care about facing me one bit, but he'll probably start shouting out childish slogans that please all the fans here. The truth is, I don't need to proclaim slogans to please these fans. I couldn't care less what they think of me. Tonight I'm evening up the scores and I'll be the one defeating Syxx. I was unable to get the job done at Summerslam, but I'll guarantee you that tonight I'll be the one that gets the job done. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go out to the ring to say a few words before my match.

Ted picked up a black duffel bag and left Matt Striker and walked through the backstage area of the Freedom Hall until he reached the gorilla position. He passed backstage officials and crew members and walked out onto the stage without any warning. The crowd booed Ted as he walked down to the ring to no music, dressed in his ring attire and still carrying the black duffel bag. He walked around the ring and grabbed a microphone before slowly stepping into the squared circle. He didn't wait for the crowd to become quiet, he just began his speech.

Ted Jr: So tonight someone thought it would be a good idea to have me face Syxx again. Once again we have incompetent management who couldn't book a wrestling card to save themselves. Though they managed to do the unthinkable by actually finding Edge and dragging him off his ass to actually defend the title that they put on him. You've got guys like Edge and our World Champion Orton who think they run this place and can do whatever the hell they want. Then you've got guys like AJ Styles who want to swing for the fences and smack people in the head with steel chairs and get fined for it. Then you've got guys like Kevin Nash, Bret Hart and my opponent who should have invested wisely instead of blowing all their money and getting back in the ring. Syxx is probably the most capable of being in the ring out of the three and because he's a "battle hardened veteran" he has become arrogant and simply assumes that I'm going to lay down for him tonight. That's not going to happen Syxx, I'm not laying down. I'm going to be hunting you down tonight and making sure that I leave that ring as a winner and when I leave this ring you're going to be flat on your back looking up at the lights.

The crowd booed Ted heavily as he spoke.

Ted Jr: Do you think I care that you boo me? Do you think I care that you have signs that support Syxx? It's not going to make a difference at all. You can cheer him and boo me, but you're not going to have an effect on the outcome of this match. So what's going to be next after I face Syxx? Do I want to try and get into the World Championship picture? Not just yet. I'm going to bide my time and get there when I want to be there. What's next for Ted DiBiase is he gets back what is rightfully his. I don't care if Sandow has it or if it's Heyman's other representative AJ that has it. I'm going after the Path to Glory Championship.

Ted motioned for a camera man to enter the ring to do a close up on him. As the camera man entered Ted dropped the black duffel bag and opened it wide. He then pushed the camera man and made him focus on the contents of the bag. The bag was full of money. $100 notes packed together and stacked up in the bag to the top. Ted then pulled the camera up to his face.

Ted Jr: That should be enough to pay for what I'm going to do tonight Syxx. You've got two words Syxx and everyone knows what they are. Well I've got two words for you. Fuck You.

Ted pushed the camera man away and left the ring. Bad Guys by 3OH!3 played as he walked to the back and the scene faded with the camera focusing on the black duffel bag filled with money.

Yo bro! I enjoyed this RP a lot. Great promo. I can see that you had fun writing this. You did a nice job of highlighting the past and present events. This was a very good display of DiBiase that we haven't seen in a while. I can't wait to see where this goes.
