Again?

Post by Kyle »

OOC: Should have been a better showing this week but it's getting to crunch time at university with 6 assessments in 2 weeks and then exams.

Ted DiBiase sat in his locker room quietly seething. He didn't understand why he had to face Syxx again, especially after what he did to him 2 weeks ago. While he was in his locker room, the young and popular interview, Renee Young entered the locker room followed by a camera man.

Renee Young: Ted, do you mind if I ask you a few questions about your match tonight with Syxx?

Ted looked up to see Renee Young. Previous to this, he hadn't heard much about her but it seemed that she was now the most popular interviewer in EBWF, managing to get interviews with all of the top wrestlers.

Ted Jr: So you're the interviewer that everyone seems to like. Go ahead.

Renee composed herself before beginning the interview.

Renee Young: So tonight you're set to go one on one with Syxx, two weeks after you had faced off and you attacked him after your match. What do you have against Syxx?

Ted stood up and approached Renee, making her feel slightly uncomfortable.

Ted Jr: Look at Syxx, he's 41 years old. He has had a career spanning 20 years in this business. He could be considered a legend, a veteran. But to me he doesn't deserve his place here. These stupid people all love a nostalgia act. Hell when I was still in the WWE, all I ever heard was people asking for Sting to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Look at Sting now, he's well over 50 years old and Undertaker is just about to hit 50. Why would anyone want to see them face each other if not for nostalgia. People talk about their actions from 20 years ago and expect that to continue. They all don't seem to realise that these former icons are now mere shells of their former selfs. You look at me, I'm in the prime of my career, I've achieved more than Syxx has in this company. I'm a former World Champion, he isn't. He appeared on the very first Warfare, over 500 episodes later and he still hasn't touched the World Championship. I won it within 6 months of arriving here. I hold the record for the longest reign in EBWF history. 12 years this company has been around for and it has seen some of the best wrestlers ever come through its doors. I have held a championship longer than every legend and icon to enter EBWF. Syxx may have won our last encounter, but I was the one leaving with a smile on my face. I told him that bad things would happen and I have more than enough money to pay for any indiscretion that I commit.

Renee Young: Last week, AJ Styles defeated Kevin Nash and afterwards laid out both Nash and Syxx to end Warfare. Do you think Syxx will be taking out his aggression on you tonight?

Ted Jr: He'll be pissed off getting his ass kicked for two weeks in a row, and who can blame him. It only shows him that this is a young man's game. And tonight I'll be more than happy to kick his ass for a third week in a row.

Just before Renee could ask another question, the door to Ted's locker room opened and Matt Striker entered the room. He saw Renee with DiBiase and immediately got angry.

Matt Striker: Oh come on! Ted, I've been interviewing you for years and now SHE just walks in and decides she wants to interview everyone.

Ted didn't really seem to care and looked to Striker.

Ted Jr: She's better looking on the eyes, and doesn't bore me with every statistic.

Striker look dejected and slowly left the locker room. Before he left, Renee had some parting words for the interviewer.

Renee Young: You snooze, you lose Striker.

Renee shut the door on Striker before going back to DiBiase.

Renee Young: No where were we? Oh that's right. With AJ Styles now holding the Path to Glory Championship, could we see a match between you two soon?

Ted Jr: I've never hid from the fact that I believe that the Path to Glory Championship is mine and I said that I didn't care who held it that I would take it from them. That's what is going to happen in the future. I will become Path to Glory Champion again, by any means necessary.

Renee Young: Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions and good luck tonight in your match.

Ted Jr: I've never needed luck.

Renee and the camera man departed the locker room and left Ted to be with his thoughts before his match against Syxx.
