Daniel Bryan was set to appear in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match alongside Cody Rhodes and The Shield. He was set to face off against the team led by John Cena which included Syxx, Trent?, The Miz and Wes Ikeda. Two members of the team were making their in ring return at Survivor Series. The Miz had been out of action for many months and Wes Ikeda hadn't been in action for several years. There was a lot of bad blood between the two teams and it would all come to a head on Sunday. Before the Pay Per View, Renee Young had duty of interviewing Daniel Bryan before he was set to compete. The two were standing at the interview set, with Daniel being dressed in his ring attire.

Renee Young: We're at Survivor Series in Miami, Florida and tonight is going to be an action packed night. We've got Randy Orton defending his World Championship against AJ Styles and we have a huge Survivor Series elimination tag team match with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. We have John Cena's star studded team taking on Cody Rhodes' team with The Shield and Daniel Bryan. With me now is Daniel Bryan from Team Rhodes. With having Cody Rhodes and The Shield on your team, how do you think you will be gel as a group?

Daniel Bryan: We don't have to gel, we don't even have to get along. All we need to do is eliminate every member from John Cena's team.

Renee Young: That'll be easier said than done with the Intercontinental Champion being seemingly unstoppable over the last year. They also have The Miz who is returning from months on the sidelines with injury. The biggest surprise was the announcement of Wes Ikeda as the final member of Team Cena.

Daniel Bryan: It surprised everyone, no doubt. Let's go through Team Cena. To start we have the team captain, John Cena. The man has held the Intercontinental for an eternity, defeating all comers but when was the last time he faced an actual wrestler, someone who can end a match in a second with a devastating submission. What's going to happen when it's 5 on 1? Can he really overcome the odds to defeat everyone?

Renee Young: What about Trent?

Daniel Bryan: Trent? doesn't know when to quit. Trent? and I have had our run-ins but we've yet to face each other in singles competition. He parades around with the Money in the Bank briefcase but he's never even contemplated cashing it in. He doesn't deserve it just like he doesn't deserve to be in the same ring as me.

Renee Young: Syxx was another member of Team Cena. He's someone that has come back earlier in the year and has been competing well.

Daniel Bryan: Another wrestler who has passed his prime. He's had the living hell beaten out of him by AJ Styles, he's already been beaten by Dean Ambrose who could easily defeat him again. He's no real threat to anyone in this match.

Renee Young: The Miz, who is a former World Champion is returning after months out of action.

Daniel Bryan: He's a former World Champion, but so is Ted DiBiase. That doesn't mean that he's any good. He's just another reality star trying to make a mockery out of my passion. He wants to laugh and joke around all the time, but that will get you nowhere. He can joke all he wants, but I guarantee that he won't be laughing when I dislocate his shoulder and put him back on the sidelines for another 4 months.

Renee Young: Don't you think you're underestimating Team Cena?

Daniel Bryan: Am I underestimating them? You've got the best technical wrestler in EBWF along with a trio who will die for each other and you've got a slightly unbalanced multi generation wrestler in Cody Rhodes. I think we have the perfect team. I know the Shield aren't going to let any of their members be pinned, and I know that we all have a hatred towards some or all members of the other team. This isn't just a match, it's a fight and it's a war to show who is the dominant force in EBWF. It's a way for each of us to exact our revenge on our enemies.

Renee Young: There's one person you're forgetting. The former CEO of EBWF himself, Wes Ikeda.

Daniel Bryan: I know he's wrestled for years, but after being on the verge of death last year and having not wrestled in several years how exactly is he going to make an impact? About the only thing he's good for is coming out and doing Coast to Coast before going away for another year.

Renee Young: Any final words for your opponents?

Daniel Bryan: Tonight is going to be brutal, there will be blood, there will be injuries, there will be pain and agony. It won't be a miracle return to the ring for Wes Ikeda and The Miz, it's not a fairy-tale. This is reality and in reality it doesn't matter how heart-warming a story may be, you've got to back up what you say. Cody Rhodes, The Shield and myself will ruin any fairy-tale return that you had planned. We're going to take you out one by one until we're the only ones left standing.
