My Path to Glory

Evan Bourne has just filled out the contract to become a EBWF Superstar. He has made it. His hopes and dreams have finally came true. He is apart of the EBWF roster, he is apart of the a federation with major superstars. Evan has never really felt proud of himself but at this moment, he has a good reason to be. As he walks out of the EBWF Headquarters, he is smiling ear to ear, every kid has that dream to do something amazing and have that feeling of doing something you love, and even when Evan was in the indies performing under the ring name, Matt Sydal, he still was having the time of his life and realizing how lucky he was but this is totally different from the indies. This is the real deal.

Fast forward a couple weeks and it is Christmas Eve morning. Which is also the day of Christmas Eve of Destruction. The last pay-per-view of the year for EBWF. It is also a big deal for Evan because there is a Path to Glory Invitational match meaning anyone can participate even guys who haven't even been with the company for a month. Evan is in Indianapolis, Indiana, doing promo before the event and it's the first time he's even felt like a true superstar.

The cameras begin rolling and are right in the face of Evan Bourne. Evan needs to shoot a promo to get his name out there so people won't be too confused when he walks into the ring later on to maybe win himself a championship.

Evan Bourne: "My name is Evan Bourne. If you can't tell, I'm not the biggest guy and I'm not the strongest. But I can fly. I was Born to Fly. I'm not like anyone else in this federation. I'm just here with a point to prove. I know I can be at the top of this federation, I know I can win championships, and I also know I can make you fans, go home and say you had a pretty good show."

Evan Bourne: "Speaking of championships, tonight there is an invitational match, and this match isn't just any ol' match. This match is for the Path to Glory Championship. There is another perk to this match... Hardcore Rules. Which is fine by me since I don't have to hold back. I can jump all around the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the beautiful state of Indiana and not have to worry about being too "indie"."

Evan Bourne: "Winning the Path to Glory would mean a lot to mean since it guarantees me a World Championship match in the future. A World Championship match will be a dream and it will be an honor for you guys to live out my dream with me and my rise to the top!"

Evan Bourne: "This promo wasn't to get you to like me. This promo wasn't to get you to respect me. This promo wasn't even made for you to respect me. It was made so you would get to know Evan Bourne. Because I'm coming for these guys. I'm going to show them the true definition of high-flying. I'm also going to show them what it means to live out your dreams because I was a dreamer, and look where I am now. Moments from now, I'm about to compete in my first EBWF match, and hopefully I win it. Wish me luck guys!"

The cameras stopped rolling. Evan still not believing that he just shot his first promo for the company and that he is even here. Evan begins walking around the backstage area, saying greeting any backstage member he runs into. Evan then grabs his stuff from his locker room and heads to his hotel, so he can get a little rest before he steps into his first match of EBWF, and obviously wanting to get a good result out of it.

Hours later, Evan is back at the arena watching the Christmas Eve of Destruction pay-per-view and he is enjoying it. While watching he always forgets that he is apart of the roster and that he is backstage and is getting ready to compete in just a few moments. Evan is wearing red tights with a few black and white designs on it, and black boots with a bit of a red design at the top, he has his wrist taped up and he stands up as the match he is watching comes to an end. Evan shakes his head as he is a bit nervous but really excited. He begins to walk towards the ring and stops in front of the curtains. He waits a few moments until he gets his cue and when he does, he smiles as his time has finally came.

Evan Bourne: "Here goes nothing."

"Born to Win" by Mutiny Within blasts out the speakers as the crowd not knowing who it is give no reaction, then Evan Bourne walks out with a bright smile on his face and they give him a little pop. Evan jogs down the ramp and high-fives some of the fans that had their hands held them out. Evan slides into the ring and goes to the top rope and raises his hands up into the air. A few older fans who are probably familiar with indie wrestling were clapping. Evan jumped down and stood in one corner of the ring waiting for who else would turn up to this Path to Glory Championship Match.

Jim Ross: "This is Evan Bourne. He is from St Louis, Missouri. He is known to be a high-flyer, a risk-taker. I met him a couple days ago and he was a really nice guy and seems that he is looking for gold in his debut match."

Jerry Lawler: "We will just have to see what he's got."

Evan Bourne looked into the crowd and it really sunk in. He is here. He has his own entrance music, he is about to wrestle in front of a room full of people and he maybe, just maybe might win a championship. Bourne feels on top of the world right now, he cannot stop smiling as he stares at the thousands of people in attendance tonight looking to have a great time and see some wrestling. Evan cannot wait till someone else walks out here and sees his competition. But Evan has to focus on the task at hand. It is proving that he has what it takes and going home with the Path to Glory Championship.

Evan Bourne: "This is my time. This is my time!"
