The beauty of the outside is mirrored within. There are many rows of pews, all of which seem to almost sparkle where the wood has clearly been polished and cleaned daily. Every seat is taken, men, women and children fill the room. There must be at least 200 of them, creating an excited, low murmur of sound. Talking amongst themselves, suddenly a silence cuts through the room like a knife. At the altar is the Undertaker, entirely dressed in black his robe, pants, tshirt and hat look out of place in such pristine surroundings. As he steps to the altar his hands raised to command silence. His actions are pointless as the gathered crowd is all ready waiting with bated breath for him to speak. Those arriving late do so in silence and try and find room in order to hear what the Undertaker has to say. He is grinning from ear to ear, clearly excited.
The Undertaker - My brothers I stand before you and cannot express how pleased I am that the Chapel of Satan can meet in the light of day in this grandest of settings without fear of any repercussions. Being embraced, and accepted the way you are is a far cry from hiding away in the dark of night like I normally have to. But universal acceptance isnt what any of us crave, satisfying our own desires is what is important and not what others around us think. So being here in Rome, before you all is a pleasure, but that is not what brings the smile to my face.
The Undertaker starts slowly pacing along the stage, addressing each side of the Cathedral as he speaks.
The Undertaker - Firstly I was able to take my frustration out and enjoyed testing Phil Shatter on Warfare. When my hand was wrapped around his throat and he looked into my eyes I knew he was not the chosen one. As I lifted him into the air and slammed his body back to the canvas I knew we could mark one more from our list in the search for the chosen one. Bringing us one stepped closer to find one to carry on our work like all of you before me are so greatly carrying out.
The crowd cheers as the Undertaker is mimicking the action of a choke slam as he spoke.
The Undertaker - But even better is at Fall Out once again I will have a chance to test two more and my brothers I will admit I'm excited by one. Justin Credible and Bray Wyatt will stand before me. They will not only go face off with me, but they will face the full force you. [The Undertaker points out to the crowd]
Switching his mood completely for smiling and jovial to dark and menacing. In the sea of faces the Taker still manages to catch the camera with his eyes as he speaks.
The Undertaker - Justin Credible has been a bystander watching life pass him by. Always wondering why he hasnt achieved like those around him have done. He has watched others strive and succeed when he has failed and is left wondering why. Hiding behind his extreme weapons, and why? [The Undertaker pauses for a moment before slamming his fist down on the altar and shouting.] BECAUSE HE IS WEAK! When Justin looks in the mirror he knows he does not have it inside him to be the very best. And mark my words at Fall Out Justin Credible steps into my yard and is stepping into the ring with the very best. His life will no longer be extreme but marked by the radical darkness of the Chapel of Satan. [Those congregated in front of the Taker loudly cheer.] I invite him to bring his fellow under achievers he has surrounded himself with again, any weapon he wants, because none of them matter, he knows when I stare into his eyes I will see that weakness and strike him down. By simply turning up he is presenting himself as a human sacrifice, and one the Chapel gratefully receives. [The crowd cheers even louder in agreement.]
Once again his mood changes and the Undertaker is speaking much softer, quieter with more empathy for those before him. Picking each word carefully.
The Undertaker - Each one of you who sits here before me has a burning desire to carry out the Chapel's work. Someone in the world right now is perishing for the Chapel. That level of commitment is something Justin Credible can only dream of. Our faith in the Chapel out weighs the faith he has in himself tenfold. We have embraced the cards we have been dealt and can live life without the same fear of failure Justin Credible has, as we know our work will be rewarded in the after life. [Slightly smiling again] I would have seen Justin as a total waste of time, however I cant deny I will enjoy beating him down and leaving him wondering why him once again in his life!
The congregation in front of the Taker cheers once again, whoops of delight echo around the hall and clearly the Undertaker is enjoying it, soaking in their adulation.
The Undertaker - [Nodding his head slightly] However, Bray Wyatt is one I see potential in. The Chapel of Satan does not want to create mindless followers, but enable those with darkness inside them to release it. To embrace the evil that lurks within and harness it. I have seen moments of that inside Bray Wyatt, but he is young. He needs our guidance and at Fall Out our mission is to free that darkness that resides within him. Bray Wyatt will not be able to resist the wisdom of the Chapel. We are so powerful, so awesome that you do not dare run away from us, but run to us. And Bray may not forgive me for the beating he shall receive, [Shaking his head] but my brothers I am not concerned, because once he is able to embrace his greater calling he will understand why this has to happen. He will understand why I have to take his body to the very edge of its physical limits, and he will embrace the Chapel as every single one of you have.
Some in the crowd can be seen nodding their heads in agreement as the Undertaker pauses to let the words he has just said sink in.
The Undertaker - Come Sunday you can all witness the Chapel's work continuing. We shall not rest on our laurels, we need to constantly move forward with our quest to find the chosen one. [Pointing out to the crowd] You all know as well as me that wont be Justin Credible [a smirk creeps across the Undertaker's face as those in front of him chuckle at what they perceive as a joke.] Could all of you imagine a failure like Justin standing before us and leading us all in the after life? He's much better suited to hanging around in the gutter with the same has beens and nobodies that he seems to so enjoy. But he will pose no threat, he will be easily brushed aside like so many have been n the past. [The crowd cheers]
Waiting for the cheering to die down, the Undertaker is clearly enjoying the scenes before him.
The Undertaker - But my brothers I ask you all to believe when I say Bray Wyatt can become a lethal asset. He will be shown the way of the Chapel of Satan. He will see what his life can be flash before him and he will realise the greatness that awaits him. Like all of you have. When he is lying broken on the canvas, I cross his arms over his body for the 1, 2, 3 count a moment of clarity will come to him. [Pointing out to the crowd] And like each and every one of you here have known that same feeling, he will feel that darkness within him rise. His soul will be ripped from his body and leave him like one of you. [The Undertaker points to his temple] Clear of mind and [He then moved his hand and beat his fist on his chest.] with an evil within.
By this point the excitement in the room was stating to build, the Undertaker's words starting to whip them in a frenzy.
The Undertaker - At Fall Out I have a chance to rip the weakling Justin Credible limb from limb and feed my own personal thirst for evil. Collecting another soul like I have been doing so for decades. But with Bray Wyatt we have a chance to help release a unique kind of evil from within him. Once the bell rings and both Justin and Bray and laid out before me each of you will have that same feeling I have. Joy, not just seeing Justin Credible destroyed but knowing we have helped Bray release what is truly inside him and helped him on a path to the same level of evil that all of us are privileged to be part of. At Fall Out both Justin Credible and Bray Wyatt will
In
Peace
The Undertaker walks from the staged area as the crowd jumps to its feet. Screaming and cheering their support for what has just been said. Going wild as emotionlessly the Undertaker disappears from view.......
