Hail RODIMER!

Post by Brian W. »

.:: The camera came on and showed nothing but a bright green grassy field. The field had white lines drawn on it and was cut short. The camera panned up a bit to reveal empty seats. The camera zoomed in on a sign that read, “The Bounce House” in giant gold letters. The camera continued to rotate around until Daniel Rodimer came in to focus. Rodimer was wearing a Gold UCF football jersey with the number 58. Along with the jersey Rodimer is wearing a pair of blue jeans and tennis shoes. In his hands he holds a football with the UCF logo. The camera re focuses on Rodimer as he begins to speak. ::.

Daniel Rodimer: Welcome to the Bounce House! The nickname given to the stadium where MY University of Central Florida Knights play their home football games. You may have seen them a couple times last year when they finished the season 12-1 and ranked in the top ten in the nation. Yeah, that's how we do. [Rodimer smiled.] I played four years of football here at UCF and if there is one thing I learned it is that I am one tough good look man! Every game I would get told by the other teams coach to take it easy on his guys. If a wide receiver made an open catch in the middle of the field you better believe I was going to be there to knock the ball, and his head, off his body. And in the midst of all of this hitting and all of this tackling, I didn't miss one game due to injuries. Why you ask? Because when you are built like a brick house, when every muscle on your body has a muscle, you tend to not get injured. It's all about staying in shape, and staying relevant. If I didn't stay relevant then none of those guys would have known I was coming for them. For example, let's talk about one of my opponents last week at Warfare, The Undertaker. Is The Undertaker a World class athlete like me? NO. Is The Undertaker half the man I am? NO! But one thing The Undertaker does is he gets into your head. He plays mind games with everyone. Well, almost everyone. His games don't work on me! They can't penetrate this steel brain! [Rodimer knocked his head with his fish while smiling.] Anyway, once The Undertaker gets in your head you are done. No matter what you do, you will not overtake him. It is the same way on the football field. I was in every single opponents head. He knew if he was going to catch that ball he was taking a risk because I was going to be there to him hit.

.:: Rodimer put the ball in one hand and smacked it hard with the other hand making a loud bang sound. ::.

Daniel Rodimer: Why I am talking about staying relevant? Because my opponent this week has not been doing that. When was the last time anyone in EBWF heard from Chris Sabin? Hell the last time I remember hearing from him were his days facing Damien Sandow for the PTG Championship. Then maybe he won it? Maybe he didn't? Either way his time was irrelevant. Since day one, I have made an impression. I was relevant before I even had the opportunity to become relevant! Before my first match in EBWF I already had a huge following, just because of one cameo promo I shot. Then, week after week, win after win, I gained more relevance. And I stand before you today an undefeated EBWF superstar. Unlike some big names that make their debuts in companies I did it the right way. No local wrestler wannabes are on my defeated list. I have a list of four wrestlers. And two of them are guaranteed professional wrestling Hall of Famers. In my second ever EBWF match I took down Scott Hall in a no contest easy victory. Then, last week, I defeated The Undertaker in his own yard. I did what I said I would do and I left him lying face down on the mat, like a drunk in his front yard who had succumbed to the alcohol! Dare I say that I allowed him to... Rest, In, Peace? [Rodimer smirked confidently.] Oh I dare!

.:: Daniel Rodimer put the ball in his right hand and then quickly spiked the ball on the ground. The ball bounced up high in the air and then came to a rest a couple of yards behind Rodimer. ::.

Daniel Rodimer: “Reach for the stars.” No I am not quoting Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. That is the motto of The University of Central Florida. Sabin, This Monday night at Warfare after I spike your weak body in to the ground with a Deal Breaker, my hand will be raised to the stars in victory. You will be another example of why I deserve a shot at WrestleMania, and those who HAIL SABIN will quickly learn to love THE BIG DEAL!

.:: Rodimer smiled in to the camera and turned around and picked up the football. He then walked away from the camera as the scene faded to black. ::.

----------------------------------

.:: Michael Cole was seen standing in the make shift backstage area of Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. The excitement of a packed military crowd could be heard in the background as Renee Young walked in to the picture. She was dressed up more than usual and had a huge smile on her face. ::.

Michael Cole: Renee, what is this all about?

Renee Young: I have an interview in a few moments with someone special Cole. Now stand back in amazement and watch as I do my thing!

.:: Renee Young took a couple of steps over in front of an EBWF logo. The camera focused in on her and she raised a microphone to her face. As she did so, the live crowd cheered for her. ::.

Renee Young: Ladies and Gentleman, heroes of America [The crowd cheered loudly.] Please welcome my very special guest who will be competing tonight against Chris Sabin, The Big Deal, Daniel Rodimer!

.:: Rodimer slid in to the camera shot with a cocky smile on his face. He bumped in to Renee again like he did last week, but this time instead of moving away he stayed next to her. This action made Renee start to blush quickly, and she smiled a huge smile. Rodimer continued to smile as he spoke. ::.

Daniel Rodimer: Renee I want to apologize to you. Last week, when you wanted to interview me, I cut you off and spoke on my own terms. What was I thinking? Tonight, I will let you shine and show these people that you are the best staff member in EBWF. [Rodimer winked at Renee Young.]

Renee Young: Daniel, you are too kind. [Renee giggled.] Daniel tonight you face Chris Sabin at our annual Tribute to the Troops show. Is it going to bother you if you get out there and these American heroes are on his side and choose to hail Sabin?

Daniel Rodimer: Renee, great question by the way, Renee I honestly don’t care what these people have to say about me or Chris Sabin. [Crowd booed.] I have come out week after week with the crowd booing me and used that to defeat my opponents. Why would that be any different tonight? It’s not any different! When you look this good, and have the talent that I have to back it up, opinions of other people mean nothing! Here in a few minutes I will step through those curtains and I will embrace my next opportunity to show these people why I deserve to be here in EBWF, and why I deserve a spot on the WrestleMania card. Whether these people choose to hail Sabin, or love The Big Deal, I will be victorious!

Renee Young: Are the rumors true that during the WrestleMania week festivities you have offered to go on a date with a fan who bids the highest amount to be with you?

Daniel Rodimer: I don’t see what that has to do with defeating Chris Sabin tonight, but yes Renee that is something I have offered. But if someone plays their cards right, maybe that can be canceled. Maybe after my victory tonight Renee Young and I meet up and she finds out why I’m the BIG deal! [The crowd whooped and hollered at the comment. Renee Young grinned and her face turned an even brighter red.] Renee, I again have to apologize to you. When you have to interview someone about a match against an opponent that is talentless it has to be hard. I mean what possibly could you ask that would build up anything to our match? [Rodimer looked in to the camera with an intense, almost angry face. His voice matched in intensity.] Every single person out in that crowd knows that when that bell rings I am going to dominate Chris Sabin. All these people know that tonight when I step out in front of them I will put on a show. Whether they cheer me or boo me, a show they will get. [Rodimer paused for a moment to collect himself.] Sabin, I have already defeated the likes of Scott Hall and The Undertaker. Let’s face it; you and them don’t have a lot of things in common when it comes to achievements in the wrestling business. However, tonight you three will become more alike than ever. Tonight you will join them on the list of EBWF talent I have defeated on my way to my first Mania. But that isn’t all Chris! Tonight, after I defeat you with The Deal Breaker, you all will have something else in common. You will all know that I am Daniel Rodimer, and when it comes to the EBWF, I’m The Man!

.:: Rodimer quickly changed his facial expression from intense to happy as he turned and smiled at Renee Young. He leaned over and whispered something in to her ear before he walked out of the shot of the camera. Before the camera faded, Renee Young lifted her non microphone hand and fanned her face as if she was steamy hot. ::.

.:: End ::.
