The Introduction of "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero

Post by DAngelo »

Hi everyone. I just joined yesterday and decided I'd hop right in and post my first RP. Hope you all enjoy!

Within the headquarters of the EBWF, many reporters anxiously await outside of the office door of the head talent recruiter of the EBWF.

Todd Grisham makes sure he's at the front of the mob of over a dozen reporters huddled outside of the door.

Suddenly, it opens.

Out steps a man approximately six feet tall and 220lbs. His appearance is slightly different than what most of the world has seen due to the fact he normally wore his hair locked out as long, thick dread locks. But this time it was all let loose, forming a neatly shaped and groomed afro.

He is
The Pope

He is:

D'Angelo Dinero.

The now growing crowd of reporters swarms the door, and you can tell by his facial expression it slightly irritates him. All the reporters are shouting questions left and right, without even leaving Dinero time to answer, better yet comprehend everything being thrown at him.

He's had enough

A lion-like roar is heard from the superstar; a roar so loud that everyone in the entire building probably hears it.

D'Angelo: SILENCE!!!!!!

With that, not only did the small confined space they're in become quiet, the entire premisis did.

The Pope continued.

D'Angelo: Say homies, if y'all want a brotha' to ansa' ya' questions, y'all better chill or and go one by one. Ya heard me?

Still in shock and dumbfounded by the miraculous yell, most of the reporters remain silent.

All except one.

Todd Grisham.

He hesitantly raised his hand, wandering how The Pope would take it

They locked eyes.

D'Angelo: Yeah yeah?

Todd Grisham: Um, excuse me, Mr. Pope, I mean D'Angelo, I mean -

The Pope raises his hand to silence the reporter.

D'Angelo: Just call me Pope.

Todd Grisham: Okay, Mister - um I mean - um, Pope. Would you mind telling the EBWF Universe about what was going on in there?

D'Angelo: I just signed a contract with the EBWF. If that wasn't obvious since I just came out of the talent recruitment office...

Todd Grisham: Well um, Pope, congratulations! How does it feel being apart of the roster?

D'Angelo: Absolutely fantastic ya heard me? I'm about to hit up all my homies back home up in Harlem and tell 'em! They gon' be so proud! It's hard for a brotha to get out of the hood you know.

Todd Grisham: I see, I see. Well, now that you're apart of the roster, what are some of your goals?

D'Angelo: Well you know everybody in professional wrestlin' is hungry for the big championship and you know I will be eventually too. But for now, I'm just tryna debut ya heard? Get a couple fights in, the maybe see about that King of the Ring Pay-Per-View.

Todd Grisham: Sounds like you have your eyes on the prize! Is there anything you'd like to tell the people of the EBWF Universe before you depart?

D'Angelo: Yeah yeah. Right now I'm just an underdog starting from the bottom but you know what? Y'all are about to firsthand witness one of the best come-ups in history ya heard? So sit back and strap ya seat belts in tight 'cuz it's finna be one hell of a ride out here ya heard me? I'm out yo.

D'Angleo shoves his way through the crowd of reporters who now become noisy again as he leaves. He hops into his ride, a 2001 Black Ford Taurus, and rides off speedily with the song "Started From the Bottom" by Drake blaring through his speakers.

I hope everyone enjoyed. Maybe leave me some feedback? Thanks!

Good job, I really liked this. I hope you'll stay to continue, you'll do well with this character. Can't wait to see what you do with him.
