If at first you don't succeed.

Post by D.J »

Quick one this week, I think Kyle is away this weekend. Hope you guys enjoy!

For those who looked at The Miz match with Brock Lesnar as a sure fire halt to the roll Miz had been on, they were proved oh so very wrong. Though the victory did include the aide of Wes Ikeda, The Miz shocked.. well everyone.. when he defeated Lesnar to advance in the King of the Ring tournament. He was the reigning Intercontinental Champion, and with his round one victory he knocked out one of the favorites to win the entire tournament. In order for Miz to avoid the same fate as Lesnar he would have to go through a familiar face and a familiar foe in Ted DiBiase. He’d done it before, and as is his way he’d be fully confident that he could do it again.

The scene opened with The Miz already in the ring, he wore a gray suit and had the Intercontinental Championship draped over his right shoulder. A “Miz” chant broke out as Miz smiled and moved the microphone from finger to finger. Finally, he began to speak as the chant died down.

The Miz: And you all were worried…

The crowd cheered loudly as Miz was clearly acknowledging the fact that he was the underdog in his match against Brock Lesnar.

The Miz: The fact of the matter is this. I am as good as it gets around here and just because I had to face that planet of the apes looking Brock Lesnar in round one, doesn’t mean any of you Mizfits should have been concerned. So if I am telling you NOT to worry about Brock Lesnar or others like him, I am DEFINITELY telling you not to be worried about my opponent in the next round Ted DiBiase.

The crowd booed at the mention of Ted

The Miz: No need to boo him, no need to give him any real attention or thought at all. What for? You start to notice him and BOOM he, like Brock Lesnar, will be out of this tournament. Ted is on a list of guys that I have beaten over and over again, it’s anti climatic, it’s been seen, it’s been done, it’s actually quite boring at this point. You’ve all heard the speech you know the history, what’s funny is I actually heard somebody refer to his as a rivalry… Really?

The crowd repeated “REALLY?”

The Miz: REALLY?

Crowd again was on board with a “REALLY?”

The Miz: Ted Dibiase and The Miz is a rivalry REEALLY? Ted DiBiase is the Buffalo Bills to my New England Patriots, he’s the toilet to my large man with diarrhea not a pretty image I understand, but when Ted and I have been in the ring together it hasn’t been a pretty sight.. for him anyways. Ted DiBiase is a tier below me, and he always has been. You may be saying, “but Miz, he’s the Path to Glory Champion” if you are saying that.. first of all I can’t hear you, so why are you addressing me guy talking to his T.V, and second do you think I care that he’s the Path to Glory Champion? I don’t, and neither does anybody else. Ted DiBiase could cure cancer and nobody would be excited about him. He’s just dull, he’s vanilla. Ted DiBiase could slay Godzilla and he’d be all “Hey I slayed Godzilla!” and people would be like “Good god when does your talking end?” And he’d be all “I only said 4 words.” And people would be all “Is this still going on?”

The crowd cheered.

The Miz: Fear not though Mizfits as usual, I am there for you. This Monday I am going to lead Ted DiBiase on another path, and this one will NOT have any glory at the end of it. This Monday Night I am going to direct Ted DiBiase on a path to being the latest guy BOUNCED from the King of the Ring tournament. He may kick he may scream he may complain, but nobody will care enough to listen. This summer and this tournament belong to me, and if Ted DiBiase thinks he’s going to do anything to stop that fact from coming to fruition then The Million Dollar Man dropped him on his head one too many times when he was a kid. This Monday Night, I’m not going to drop you on your head Ted, I am going to plant you on your face, with one Skull Crushing Finale your hopes of becoming King of the Ring, your hopes of people noticing you, your hopes of FINALLY proving that you are on the my level are all going to be dashed. We both know that until you really get back to any kind of relevance you are going to have to go through me, and we ALSO both know that you can NOT and will NOT get through me. Deal with it, or don’t, much like all these people when it comes to you, I just don’t care. See you Monday old friend, I’ll be the handsome devil, kicking your ass all over Iowa.

BEECAUSEEEE I’MMMMMM THE MIZZZZZZZ AND I’MMMMMMMMMMMM

The crowd finished his catchphrase with a resounding.. “AWEESOMEEEEEEEE”

The Miz: What they said.

He flipped the mic out of his hand and on to the mat, as “I Came To Play” filled the arena and Miz confidently exited the ring, and made his way back up the ramp and through the curtain as the scene faded to black.
