A Win For Ghana!

Post by Kofi »

* Kofi was seen backstage draped in his native flag of Ghana in his red, yellow and green tights, prancing around and yelling in a joyous manner after his debut win over Mick Foley *

Kofi: GHANA! GHANA! GHANA! GHANA! OH GHANA HOW I’VE MADE YOU PROUD! I WILL BE THE GREATEST JUST FOR YOU. THE AFRICAN ASSASSIN, THE WEST AFFRICAN ATTRACTION, CALL ME WHAT YOU MAY, BUT KOFI KINGSTON IS HERE TO STAY!

* As Kofi makes his rounds around back stage, Renee Young, dressed in a tight black dress with pink and purple flowers, approaches Kofi *

Renee Young: Kofi can we have a word?

Kofi: *Kofi shines his signature grin. * Well of course sweetheart. How’s it going?

Renee Young: Great, now, How does it feel to end up on top in your debut against a high profile superstar such as Mick Foley?

Kofi: Well let me say this first Renee, Mick Foley disrespected my country calling it hell, calling my people arrogant and rude, well look at you now Foley back at the bottom where you belong. Let that be a message to the rest of the superstars of EBWF, if you disrespect my country I will find you and knock you down this company’s ladder where you can sit along side Mick.

As for the match itself I was ecstatic to represent my beautiful country so well. I was actually able to contact my family after and they told me my match was broadcasted all throughout the country and how proud they are of me. It’s such a gorgeous feeling to have fulfilled the hopes and dreams for such amazing people.

Renee Young: What are your thoughts on your next round opponent Fernando?

Kofi: It’s easy to look past someone like Fernando, with the fact that I am still celebrating my spectacular debut and the fact that well, lets face it, he isn’t much without his partner Diego, who I must add is the superior wrestler of the two. But you see I don’t look past anyone. You want to know why Renee? Because I am The West African Attraction! It’s hard to look past someone and lose focus when you have a whole country behind you whose hope hangs on your every move.

Fernando has his brother Diego and that little bull El Tostido, is that his name? But that’s beside the point. I have a country of 25.37 million beautiful people all clinging on my success, a people who I will never let down as long as I breathe.

Renee Young: Some say your win against Mick Foley was a fluke and that Fernando is the clear favorite heading into this round. What is your response to this?

Kofi: * Kofi Laughs* What do I have to say? *Ghana’s national anthem God Bless Our Homeland Ghana begins to play*

And make our nation great and strong,
Bold to defend forever

The cause of Freedom and of Right;

Fill our hearts with true humility,
Make us cherish fearless honesty ,
And help us to resist oppressors' rule

With all our will and might for evermore.

* Kofi walked off the set waving his flag with great pride and singing the rest of the anthem until his voice fades into the distance. *
