A Beautiful Thing

*Kofi is sitting in a comfy leather chair. The lights are dimmed and there is a fire in the back in the fireplace. Kofi is dressed in an all black suit with a Red, Green and Yellow tie. *

*The camera pans to a reporter, sent from the president of Ghana, who's dressed in a gray suit with thick black glasses, he has dark skin and has an average build *

Reporter: Ladies and gentleman my name is Aloe. I’ve been sent from Ghana to have a one on one with “The West African Attraction” Kofi Kingston. Kofi I must say it is a great pleasure to be sitting with and having this opportunity to talk.

Kofi: The pleasure is all mine, it is always a pleasure to sit down with a fellow countrymen and I look forward to your questions.

Aloe: I’d like to ask you first, how does it feel to been seen as an ambassador of sorts to the people of Ghana?

Kofi: Well Aloe let me put it this way; it’s a dream come true. As a young boy in Ghana I dreamed of being someone this country looks up to, a superhero of sorts, almost god like. Now with my recent success here in EBWF I am the talk of the country. Kids play with my action figures, adults discuss my whereabouts and greatness over tea and I’m the talk of the dinner table, It’s beautiful really.

Aloe: You’re next opponent is Justin Gabriel who’s coming off a huge win against Edge. What are your thoughts on Mr. Gabriel?

Kofi: Ahhhhh Justin. It’s funny because before I signed with EBWF I looked up to Justin seeing as he is a fellow African. His athleticism is remarkable, his ring intelligence is through the roof and his presence is almost unmatched. He’s a very formidable opponent for me and will be a challenge to put down and move on to the next round. The problem is however Justin comes from privilege.

Although Justin is a fellow African he hails from Cape Town, a place of beautiful landscape, beautiful buildings and money, lots of it. Now I love Ghana with all my heart but the country is rough. It has built some of the toughest men I’ve ever met. Although each civilian of Ghana loves their country, everyone needs to leave eventually and if not they’ll eventually wither into oblivion long forgotten with the others who decided to make Ghana their permanent residence. Cape town however, they’re born with spoons in their mouths. Citizens travel the world for fun and shop at fancy boutiques who sell cheap brand clothing for hundreds maybe thousands of dollars. They prosper in Cape Town and how do they help the rest of the continent they ask? Well that’s easy, they don’t. They watch countries such as Ghana fight and kill themselves while they prosper and collect the remains of our countries.

*Kofi leans in and gets closer to the camera with a blank stare *

Justin I have nothing against you personally but if I have to kick your ass up and down that ring Monday night on Warfare because my countries urges for a Ghanian to finally step to you Cape Town spoiled brats then so be it. This interview is over, thank you.

Aloe: But we still have 15 minutes, I have a few more questions.

Kofi: Aloe, this interview is done. Tell my people I will be reunited with them after I pin Gabriel One, Two, Three BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
