OOC: I got cut about 90 minutes early from work, and wanted to at least show up. I had already told Jayme I couldn't RP though, so please don't count this, Ben. :-) Thanks.

Leadership. It was an important part of being in the locker room. There were a plethora of things you could be in the men’s locker room. A “Curtain Jerk”, an up and comer, a leader, a clown. In the women’s locker room you had three options, whore, washed up and leader. Trish Stratus felt like she was teetering dangerously on the edge of washed up whore. It could have been worse, she could have been Layla. Trish was sitting alone in the shared divas locker room, wondering how a match against Velvet Sky was going to go. She’d need to talk to Stephanie and the rest of creative, but she didn’t see herself getting to the final of the Queen of the Ring tournament with two new girls. She heard the door to the room open, and turned to see who was joining her. She gave a soft smile to Natalie Neidhart but it quickly vanished when she noticed that Natalya was not happy.

Trish Stratus: Hey.

Natalie Neidhart: Can we talk?

Trish Stratus: Yeah. Sure.

Natalie Neidhart: Trish, I think you know that what you wrote on Twitter today, to Wes…

Trish Stratus: I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said anything. I just really let my emotions get the best of me, and…

Natalie Neidhart: He understands that. He does. Trish you’ve worked here for a long time. Wes respects you. He…

Trish Stratus: Do I still work here because I’m your friend?

Natalie Niedhart: What? No.

Trish Stratus: Really? It’s not like Layla? She only has a job because of Dan Cena. Everyone but her seems to know it.

Natalie Neidhart: No. Of course you don’t just work here because your my friend. You work here because you’re Trish Stratus. YOU’RE Trish Stratus. You’re not even arguably the best women’s wrestler of all time. You are, universally recognized as the best women’s wrestler of all time. I know you’ve forgotten, but we haven’t.

Trish nodded.

Natalie Neidhart: Everyone thinks you’re depressed about AJ, you know?

Trish Stratus: What? AJ? Fuck, AJ. I’m not depressed about him. Sure, I feel like a total idiot, thinking that he’d change for me and wasting as much time as I did. For letting him get to know my daughter, and for making him a big part of my life. I feel like an idiot for all of that, but I’m not upset that he’s gone. He’s a broke ass, a stoner, and he’s a fucking loser to boot. Everyone knew it but me. Ya know?

Natalie Neidhart: I’m sorry. If it makes you feel better, everyone knew TJ was a loser too. I just couldn’t see it.

Trish smiled up at her friend. Since Natalie had been with Wes, TJ was a name rarely mentioned. That seemed like a lifetime ago.

Trish Stratus: I guess it happens to the best of us.

Natalie Neidhart: Do me a favor? Go out there and be Trish Stratus? You and Velvet are going to have the best Divas match of the year.

Trish Stratus: Thanks, Nat. I feel better.

Natalie hugged Trish and left the room. Trish had a few minutes to herself before the door opened again. This time it was Renee Young, and she had a camera crew with her.

Trish Stratus: Oh, we had an appointment. I nearly forgot. Renee, would you be offended if I maybe just did my promo without the question and answer session?

Renee Young: Of course not. Guys, could you film Trish? I’ll meet you for the next one.

Trish shook Renee’s hand to thank her, and primped her hair a bit as Renee was leaving. The two men set up their camera equipment and told Trish to give it a go.

Trish Stratus: Tonight, two EBWF staples fight to get into the EBWF Queen of the Ring tournament. Velvet, one of us will go on to face two newcomers, and see if one of the best EBWF Women’s wrestlers can go on to Summerslam. I can’t help but wish you the best of luck. I mean, after all, it is time for you to get out from Angelina’s shadow. I’m surprised it’s you that’s made it this far and not her. I’ll see you out there tonight, Velvet. Everything you think you know about me? Everything you’re probably going to say? I’ll do all my talking in the ring.

The camera faded to black.
