Damien Sandow -vs- Tyler Breeze
Breakout Championship Match
Monday Warfare July 21, 2014

Silence Broken!

.:: It had been weeks since the EBWF fans or talent had heard from Damien Sandow or Daniel Rodimer. The rumors on the online wrestling forums had hit an all-time high on where they could possibly be. Rumors that consisted of Damien Sandow being temporarily suspended by EBWF management, to rumors of Sandow and Rodimer having a backstage incident that might be leading to the breakup and Brains and Brawn. While all the rumors were being typed, one thing was certain. It was very unlike Sandow or Rodimer to be silent for minutes, let alone weeks at a time. When the card was announced for Warfare on the 21st everyone noticed that Sandow was booked in a match. While some people didn't really care for the news, a majority of them were excited as they knew the silence would finally have to be broken. Or would it? By this time in the Sandow and Rodimer had already made their feelings known of what was coming up. Maybe Sandow and Rodimer knew everyone was waiting to hear from them so they wanted to make them wait. Maybe Sandow hadn't appreciated the last week or so and was making a statement by NOT making a statement. The camera came on and the Brains and Brawn bus was seen slowly rolling up to the arena where the superstars made their entrance. The bus stopped and lowered as the door opened and Sandow walked off followed by Rodimer. Sandow was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black B & B shirt. He was carrying the Breakout Championship on his right shoulder and had a serious look on his face. Sandow took a deep breath as Rodimer patted him on the shoulder like friends do as if to say let's go make our entrance. Sandow and Rodimer entered the arena and in front of them in the hall stood Michelle McCool. She was standing alone admiring the Woman’s Championship belt. When she saw Sandow she looked at him for a moment in silence. She then broke the silence by saying, “It’s about time the Intellectual Savior returned!” she smiled at Sandow and Sandow returned the smile. As he walked by McCool he stopped and shook hands with her. He then continued on his way down the hall. Before Sandow could even make it to the locker room he was bombarded by a couple of interviewers for EBWF. Michael Cole and Renee Young were walking next to Sandow asking him all kinds of questions about where he had been and if he knew about his match coming up for the Breakout Championship against Tyler Breeze. Rodimer stepped in between the interviewers and Sandow which allowed Sandow to enter the locker room area. Little did B & B know, there had been a camera hidden in their locker room. Sandow placed the Championship on a bench and started to pace back and forth. ::.

Damien Sandow: So many ignoramuses! [Sandow paused.] First I spoke my mind and said what I had to say. I get ridiculed for it by fans, media, and management. Now, I stay silent for a week and they want to know what is wrong with me and why I have not spoken. It feels like you can't win around this place, even when you are winning!

Daniel Rodimer: Damien I hear what you are saying. To steal your word, there are tons of ignoramuses here. But why get upset about things you can't control? Man we need to turn this page and just focus on things we have in our hands.

Damien Sandow: What on Earth are you talking about?!

Daniel Rodimer: For example. To me it seems like we have been put on the back burner in the tag team division, even though we are “number one contenders” for the championships. If they want to build up other teams then so be it. We will continue to get stronger as a team so when the opportunity finally does arrive we will accomplish what we want. Right now you need to focus on being the champion that you are. We have no control on when or IF we will be given a shot at the tag team titles. Who cares? Let's just focus on taking care of the opportunities they do decide to give us! Damien if there is one thing I know it is this; when we are focused, we can achieve anything we want to achieve!

Damien Sandow: Never thought I would say this, but you are right Daniel. [Sandow chuckled to himself.] Forget what we can't control. Well you know what I can control? I can control the outcome of my championship match against Tyler Breeze. Thank you for the advice Daniel.

Daniel Rodimer: [Acting like Sandow.] You’re Welcome!

Damien Sandow: I don’t want to talk to any of these morons that EBWF has to offer as an interviewer. Daniel, do me a favor and go down the hall and get Michelle. Ask her if she would like to interview me for my match. It would be nice to talk to someone around here that is as talented and brilliant as I am.

.:: Daniel Rodimer left the room in haste as Damien Sandow grabbed his title and put it on his shoulder. He paused a moment and took a deep breath and smiled. ::.

30 Minutes Later
Backstage Warfare

.:: The camera came on and Michelle McCool was seen standing in front of a black B&B banner. She had the Woman’s Championship on her shoulder and held a microphone in her right hand. As always she was looking glamorous. She looked in to the camera with a smile on her face and began the interview. ::.

Michelle McCool: Hello, my name is Michelle McCool. But of course you already knew that. I am your EBWF Woman's champion after all! I have been specially requested by one of the most respected superstars in the EBWF today to do this interview. And I must admit, it is nice to talk to someone who is as great as I am for a change. Someone who may not be as flawless, but like me is also a champion. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the Intellectual Savior of the unwashed masses, current Breakout Champion, Damien Sandow!

.:: Sandow stepped in to the camera shot with a smile on his face. He adjusted the championship belt that he had over his right shoulder. He looked at McCool and smiled a big, appreciative smile. ::.

Michelle McCool: I just wanted to say welcome back Damien. It’s been a rather unbearable few weeks here around the EBWF, mainly due to—and let me take a quote from you—the unforgivable amount of “ignoramuses” plaguing the roster. Tonight, you’ll actually be facing one of the many, Tyler Breeze, a man who is undoubtedly so wrapped up in his good looks that he failed to realize just who he’s going up against. You, the EBWF Breakout Champion. He’s made it very clear that he doesn’t see you as a threat, Damien. And he also called you ugly. Several times. Not exactly the most cordial man. What is your response to this?

Damien Sandow: Thank you for the warm welcome back Michelle. If only other people around here were as warm and welcoming. I also want to take this time to thank you for taking the time to do this interview. I couldn’t even think about talking to any of the buffoons hired here to do this process. You are one of the few that I know actually appreciate what I bring to this company. As far as your question. I do have a match tonight against Tyler Breeze, and like you said he is pretty into himself. I don’t know how this guy became a professional athlete with all the time he spends looking at himself in a mirror. He can continue to think he is the best looking athlete in this business. Fact of the matter is he has some strong competition when it comes to my partner, Daniel Rodimer. But that is beside the point. Michelle, Tyler Breeze can talk a good game can’t he? He acts like he is not impressed with what I have accomplished here in the EBWF. He wants to paint a picture that he thinks he knows how to take this championship off of me. Tyler Breeze knows nothing. Except how to portray the biggest ignoramus in EBWF. I don’t care what I look like Michelle. I could be the ugliest person on the planet that is fine with me. I would trade in looks for talent any day. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to do that. I have all the talent in the World. I am the most intellectual superstar in professional wrestling history. And if I can say so myself, I don’t look half bad in my wrestling attire. [Sandow smiled at Michelle after talking.]

Michelle McCool: Of course Damien, I can’t disagree with you. But you do have to give Tyler Breeze some recognition. Even if it’s in the slightest. He did manage to outlast 9 other men in the battle royal that opened the King of the Ring pay-per-view to earn this match and have an opportunity to go for your Breakout Title. And previous to that, he has been largely successful in all of his matches. Even though he doesn’t exactly seem to be the type to be taken seriously, you have to admit he has been impressive thus far. Unless… You think otherwise? Care to share your thoughts?

Damien Sandow: The last thing I am going to do is make the same mistake that Breeze made. I, you see, am no dummy. Tyler Breeze has earned his opportunity at this championship. He was very impressive in the battle royal at the King of the Ring like you mentioned. And since he has been in EBWF he has taken care of business in his matches. Unfortunately for him none of his matches have been against a competitor like me. Remember if you will, I won this championship in a match that involved more than one opponent. I actually had to pin more than one person in one of one matches. Tyler Breeze merely had to outlast people and not get eliminated. Compare that to what I did to earn this championship and it simply does not compare at all. While Tyler Breeze is deserving of this chance, he will realize that he does not belong in my league. The only thing Tyler Breeze will beat me in when it comes to Warfare is the category of “selfies” taken! And for him that may be enough. He might walk out of that ring confident in his showing of his abilities to take pictures of himself with a cell phone. But last time I checked that doesn’t win you championships in the EBWF.

Michelle McCool: Not bad at all, and very well said. Then again, could we expect any less? [The two briefly laughed haughtily before Michelle spoke once more.] This brings me to my last question. Tyler Breeze has also boldly claimed he will be walking out of Warfare as EBWF’s new Breakout Champion, and that you Damien, will have to resort to being a nerd or something of the other elsewhere after losing this match. Do you, or anyone else for that matter, really believe Tyler Breeze can become the next EBWF Breakout Champion?

Damien Sandow: Michelle, the only way I got to where I am now is by not caring what other people think. So as far as anyone else thinking he can become Breakout Champion, I don’t care. I have no doubt in my mind that Tyler Breeze could become the Breakout Champion. IF he was going up against the likes of someone else, Michelle. Tonight Tyler Breeze is going to have a rough night for a couple of reasons. One of those reasons is the fact that he will fall short on his claim of becoming the new Breakout Champion. However, that will be the least of his worries. I plan on taking my silence the last couple of weeks out on Tyler’s pretty little face. So when he loses his chance at becoming champion, and then loses his opportunities of taking pretty pictures, his life will come to a halt. See Michelle, this is one of the biggest things about Tyler Breeze. If people don’t desire him to be in pictures, if people don’t chase after him begging for pictures of his beautiful face, his life will no longer be happy. I on the other hand, if I lose this championship belt that is the only thing that will affect my life. I don’t care who cheers for me. I don’t care who wants to talk to me or take my picture. All I care about is being a champion in the EBWF. And I will walk in to my match tonight a champion, and I will walk out STILL a champion! [Sandow paused for a moment.] But the worst thing Michelle? The absolute worst thing will be the fact that Tyler will have to learn to accept the fact that he lost to a “NERD!” [Sandow spoke sarcastically.] I am truly worried that his pretty little face won’t be able to handle it Michelle!

.:: Sandow smiled at Michelle one last time and then exited the shot leaving Michelle standing on her own. After a second Sandow came back in to the picture. ::.

Damien Sandow: Oh and Michelle? YOU’RE WELCOME!

.:: Sandow and McCool shared a smile and Sandow walked out of the shot to get ready for his match. ::.

.:: End ::.
