This one's on me.

“Natalie, you should be focusing on being a mom right now.”
Music boomed through her earbuds, coming from the iPhone that was slid into her arm band. The music was loud, and filled with bass, but it wasn’t the thing she was paying attention to.
“It’s going to take us some time to find a spot for you, one that will do you justice.”
She exhaled sharply as she pulled down on the pull-down bar, bringing the weighted bar down behind her neck. Her shoulders and arms glistened in the fluorescent lighting.
“We were hoping we could use you in an enhancement capacity. You have a lot of status to the EBWF fans, and we’re trying to move girls like Michelle McCool and Alexa Bliss forward.”
She raised the pull down bar to it’s resting position, and dropped the weight pin down a couple notches, adding more weight to her workout. She resumed, exhaling with every pull.
“We just don’t have a spot for you in the Women’s Championship picture. We’re working on it. I promise.”
The music in her earbuds drummed on, providing background noise to the words stuck in her head. The ones told to her by the people running a company that Wes should be in the office running. She was going to be featured on Destiny as a cash grab, and then she would silently put over her opponent in order to leverage her legacy in the EBWF to push the younger stars.
The stoic expression on her face didn’t waver as she continued her reps. She was going to out there and make another ungrateful punk relevant, at least she herself was going to look fabulous doing it.
