EBWF Destiny
Target Center
.:: The camera came on and the only thing in the image is a close up of an EBWF championship. The gold was glimmering off the lights and shining brighter than ever before. Whoever was holding on to this championship was taking care of it. As the camera slowly zoomed out the championship continued the shimmer rays of pure gold off the lights that were lighting up the set. As the camera continued to zoom out it was observed that we were looking at the EBWF Breakout Championship. Damien Sandow’s name could be read on the title as the camera continued to zoom out. After a couple of moments of panning out we finally see the entire championship belt on the shoulder of Damien Sandow. Sandow was standing in front of a black banner with the EBWF logo on it and had the letters B&B painted over the logo in red letters. Sandow was wearing a black shirt with B&B written on it in red letters. He had the Breakout Championship draped on his left shoulder. He was wearing a pair of loose fitting jeans. Sandow patted the championship a couple of times before smiling a mischievous smile. ::.
Damien Sandow: I think the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” While some people may think they know what this means, allow me to explain. This adage simply refers to the notion that a complex idea can be communicated with just a single still image. This is very true when it comes to this here Breakout Championship. [Sandow patted the belt.] So many words can be used to describe this golden championship; Beautiful, stunning, glimmering, dreamy and maybe, let’s say, sophisticated. While all those words describe me, especially sophisticated and dreamy, those aren’t the words I think of when I think of gold. When I think of gold I actually don’t think of any words. I think of two letters. Those letters are A and U. Right about now I bet most of you are very confused. Why does Damien think of those letters? But, I know there are some of you out there, some of the masses that appreciate their leader, who know exactly what I am talking about. The chemical symbol of gold is AU. Gold… first place, the best, a champion. Not to be confused with AG, which is the chemical symbol for silver. Funny how the chemical symbols for gold and silver can be easily confused. They look similar and have similar letters. The very opposite can be said about my opponents in my match later tonight. While some of them may appear to be similar to me in stature, none of them match me talent wise. Some of them have become very good at appearing like professional wrestlers. They have long hair, they have big muscles, and they have the appearances of someone you would imagine would compete in the ring. However, when the bell rings and they are supposed to display their talents that is when the similarities of them and myself disappear. You see, when it comes to talent, the other guys in this match with me are simply AG, while you are looking at the only AU in the match. In other words, they are second rate, and you are looking at the only one worthy of being a champion!
.:: Sandow paused and a more serious look came to his face. ::.
Damien Sandow: The past couple of weeks I have not been performing like a champion. I have not been on my golden game. Daniel Rodimer has introduced a new side of me that I have never experienced before. A side of me that I am not sure I enjoy. Daniel thought he was doing me a favor when he helped me dig into my inner self more and pull out some aggression. The only problem is, that is not who I am as a wrestler. That is not what got me to where I am today. That is not what has made me a multi time champion here in the EBWF. When I got to the point where my aggression came out, I lost control of my biggest advantage. It was as if I would snap and forget that I was by far the smartest most intelligent superstar to ever step foot in this ring. The one thing that has made me the champion I am today is my ability to process what is happening in the ring and adapt. I use my mind in situations when other superstars snap and go with straight aggression. While they are running around like brute barbarians trying to tackle anything moving, I am seeing and processing what is going on. I am thinking about what I am going to do next. More importantly, I am thinking about what they are going to try next. With this ability that no other superstar in this company has, I have gotten to where I am now. With my continued use of this ability I will continue to be the Breakout Champion I am today. Furthermore, I will one day become the EBWF World Champion! But that dream can wait for now. I currently am in the process of accomplishing my current dream; the dream of becoming the longest reigning Breakout Champion in EBWF history. That dream continues tonight when I defeat five other quote, unquote, superstars!
.:: Sandow touched the title sitting on his left shoulder. ::.
Damien Sandow: Did you know that gold is a transitional metal? What that means is that it can resist corrosive acids. Again, much like myself. Management can throw whoever they want at me. They can put me in triple threat matches for my championship. They can put me in fatal four way matches. In fact, they have, and guess what? I am still the EBWF Breakout Champion! Now, tonight, I am facing the biggest odds that have ever been put against me. I have been thrown in the middle of a six pack challenge match for my Championship. What that means is I can lose my championship to any one of those five ignoramuses without even being pinned. Actually, I don’t even have to be active in the ring in order to lose my championship. But you see, none of this really bothers me. Everyone in this match with me has not proven to me that they even belong in the same ring as me. I have already defeated two of the five others. One of them has only had one match in EBWF so far. One of them has said nothing in the like of words except to tell everyone to, “Bolieve”. And then there is Austin Aries. Now you see why the face that the odds are stacked against me doesn’t really bother me. When it comes to the match tonight, I will be the transitional metal. The other five will be nothing but disgusting, uneducated corrosive acids. And like I said before, if there is one thing I can do as a transitional metal, it’s resist the effects of disgusting corrosive acids.
.:: Sandow moved the championship belt from his left shoulder over to his right shoulder. ::.
Damien Sandow: It may not look it, but this Breakout Championship is heavy. Speaking of the gold on my shoulder being heavy, did you know that one cubic meter of gold weighs approximately 19.3 tons. Not pounds, TONS! While that sounds like a lot, it is nothing compared to the weight on my shoulders as I carry this company around. Do you think guys the likes of Kane, Tyler Breeze, Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas, or Austin Aries help any holding this companies name up? NOPE! I am the sole superstar in this match that makes this company what it is. The Masses pay their hard earned money to come watch their leader win and defend his championship. They pay to show up and follow me wherever I choose to lead them. So not only do I carry the weight of this company, but I carry the expectations of all of them! Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining about that, I love leading my Masses to the Promised Land… and with every victory in that ring we get closer and closer to said Promised Land! [Sandow paused.] Furthermore, did you know that gold is melted at a temperature that is equivalent to 1,948 degrees Fahrenheit? In other words, the only thing hot enough to melt gold in this company is the current streak of my championship reign! I’m sure Tyler Breeze thinks he is hot enough to melt gold. But I assure you he is not. His looks don’t come anywhere close to the heat of my current title reign. With that in mind let’s take a look real quick at my current Breakout Championship reign!
.:: Sandow turned to the screen next to him and the camera focused in on it as it showed Sandow’s past matches. It showed Sandow winning the Breakout Championship and then it continued to show him defending the championship in his past matches up to this point. After a few minutes of match highlights the screen quickly faded to black and the camera zoomed out and focused on Sandow again. ::.
Damien Sandow: Notice how the video ended abruptly with no real ending? That is because this title reign is not coming to an end anytime soon. There was a beginning, and there was middle, and tonight I will continue that middle. There is no end in sight to this run! There can only be on Breakout Champion, there can only be one superstar who gets recognized as the best. I will be that superstar after I overcome the odds tonight! Just like these other five guys are trying to become a champion, there have been people ever since the ancient Egyptian era that have tried to create gold from other objects. There is just one problem with that. You cannot create gold from basic elements. No matter how hard you try, no matter how much pressure or heat you apply to these elements, there is nothing you can physically do to create gold! The only way you can obtain gold is if you are lucky enough to strike it in its natural element. The five other peons in this match tonight can try all they want. They can do whatever they have in their arsenal to attempt to obtain this gold that I wear on my shoulder. They can strategize all they want and think they have the secrets to obtain it. The only problem is, each and every one of them are nothing but basic. They are simple, boring wrestlers trying to reach the next level. The level I have set for them to reach. They simply don’t have the goods or abilities to get to where I am! Like I said before, you can’t create gold from basic elements, and every other person in this match is basic. [Sandow paused.] Tonight after I defeat the odds and continue my title run, the referee will raise my hand in victory, if I allow him to. And when I am standing there with my hand raised, with the Breakout Championship in my grasps, the other five guys lying in the ring will know they are looking at AU! They will also know they are nothing more than AG, AKA, second rate! [Sandow looked in to the camera with the same mischievous confident smile on his face.] You, you, you, you, and you. YOU’RE ALL WELCOME!
.:: Sandow again changed the title from shoulder to shoulder and stood looking at the camera silently effectively ending the promo. Instead of the camera going to black, the camera zoomed in on Sandow’s Breakout Championship and the camera faded to GOLD! ::.
.:: End ::.
