The Only Fan I Need

Post by D.J »

It was unclear what was becoming of The Miz. Once one the brightest stars in all of the EBWF. He seemed.. disinterested as of late. Dropping matches to people he never would have in the past. One thing Miz remained was savvy. He knew how to keep himself in conversations and how to get people buzzing. His latest move came when he joined forces with Edge to become one half of the EBWF Tag Team Champions. His next match was one that presented another good opportunity. He would have the chance to become the #1 contender for the Path To Glory Championship, if he could outlast CM Punk and CJ Parker.

The scene opened up in The Miz' home in Los Angeles, California. We were in his film room as clips of previous matches were shown. The film bounced around some, and we saw Miz capturing the EBWF World Title, we saw a couple of his Intercontinental Title matches. We saw the rise and fall of Trilogy not once but twice. After a minute or two of clips, the screen went to dark. The lights in the room came back on and there sat The Miz. He had his Tag Title at his feet, and he wore a white and red button up with blue jeans. His focus remained solely on the video screen for a few beats before he turned his attention to the camera.

The Miz: Fanniversary. Now normally anytime you hear from the Miz during this particular week. We are following him around, watching him sign autographs, watching him get ready to go on a date with his current diva girlfriend. This year, you aren't going to see any of those things. The fact is I'm not the same guy that I used to be. I don't want to interact with those fans. I don't want to interact with anyone really. Fanniversary is supposed to be a celebration of our great fans, but what makes them so great? They are puppets, they get as high or low as we tell them to get. They cheer and boo who we tell them to cheer and boo. Why should we celebrate them. I have been on every side that they have over these past few years, and I can tell you one thing with complete certainty.. I am NOW where I want to be with them. I want them to hate me, I want them to cheer when I lose a match. I want them to disdain me because I'm not likable to them. Why would I want to be likable to them? I don't want to be anything like them. So NO I'm not going to give them a glimpse into my life this time the week of Fanniversary. What I am going to give them, is a chance to know the future.

The Miz adjusted himself in his seat.

The Miz: I am going to tell them the future, and to do that I am going to start with the past, which explains the videos that brought you all in today. My name is Mike Mizanin, better known as The Miz. Over the past several years I have been a heralded star in this business. I've done it all, I've won every title, I've beaten everyone there is to beat. I've been in factions, I've left factions, and I've been solo. I've been loved I've been hated. The one thing I haven't EVER been is defeated. Now I know what you stupid morons are thinking, and yes I realize I have been defeated in the sense that I've lost matches, but what I haven't been is defeated in the sense that I've lost hope or confidence in myself as a wrestler.. and guess what.. I still haven't. Win or lose.. The Miz is still MUST SEE. Win or lose night in and night out the Miz still captivates. Win or lose night in and night out, The Miz is still someone who the fans leave talking about. This Sunday Night at Fanniversary even without the little grab ass segment of a day in the life of The Miz, you are going to see The Miz be ALL of those things, but you are ALSO going to see The Miz do something he's done oh so often in his career, you are going to see him win.

The Miz smirked.

The Miz: Now I know the skeptics and my wonderful haters will come back with.. "but Miz lately you haven't done much winning." To them I say.. well fatass you haven't done much exercising. The only difference is I am going to CHANGE the factual nature of their statement. You see I may have lost a couple of matches as of late, but I'm still one half of the Tag Team Champions, I'm still the freakin' Miz and last time I checked that is something that an awful lot of people in this little business of ours wish that they could say. There's a saying that you are only cold until you get hot again, and that is exactly what I am keeping in mind here. This match is that game changer. It is a triple threat match with the winner earning a shot at the Path To Glory Championship. Talk about a perfect time for this. The only thing I need to do, in order to get that opportunity is to beat CM Punk and the chick from bay watch CJ Parker.

A picture of Punk popped up on Miz screen, as did a picture of Pamela Anderson from bay watch. For the first time in this segment, Miz cracked a smile.

The Miz: I'm sure I'm not the first person to make this joke, so I'm not going to harp on it.. it's just too bad that this ISN'T the CJ parker I will be wrasslin with on Sunday Night. I wouldn't mind doing a little locking up with her if you know what I mean.. and you obviously don't because your you and if you're an EBWF fan you're either a 10 year old, a fat 50 year old virgin or a chick who only watches to see what color bandana John Cena is going to wear in the back pocket of his cargo shorts. The fact is, CM Punk and CJ Parker aren't going to earn that show at the PTG Title, and the reason I know that is because I'M going to win that shot at the PTG Title. I'm not sure what Punk is even doing back in this place. I think we all liked it better when we was gone. So Punk why don't you go and take your little ball and go home, go sit indian style in your living room and have a conversation with yourself, because you've literally exhausted all of us enough. You continue to tell all of us that you are the best in the world, but you just haven't done much to remind us of how you can even claim that as of late. Sunday's match will be your chance to hop back onto the relevant tree but it's not happening. We aren't going to see another CM Punk run in the EBWF. We aren't going to see if be "clobbering time" anytime soon. In fact all we're going to see on Sunday is you get clobbered at the hands of yours truly. I've never liked you Punk. I've never liked that people look at you and they paint this picture of you being something or anything special.

Miz shook his head.

The Miz: Not everyone likes you, but there just isn't many people who wouldn't rank you high based on in ring talent. Excuse me for saying this Punk but I just don't see it. All I see quite frankly is what your name suggests that you are.. a whiny, arrogant, overrated PUNK. A guy who never quite knows when to keep his mouth shut fortunately for you and for everyone else, I am going to shut it for you this Sunday. It's hard to talk when you're being dropped face first on the mat. If anyone could still do it, it'd be you, but I'm just not hopeful for you.

Miz laughed to himself.

The Miz: Of course I can't forget about CJ Parker. I mean I'm not sure why, everyone else has especially the Walmart where he would buy shampoo if he washed his dreadlocks. I keep coming back to the Baywatch thing, but honestly how baked was this guy when he came up with this name. I picture him eating cheese curls with orange residue on his shirt and in his hair. Watching Pam Anderson just bring the fire, and he all of a sudden has the first eureka moment of his pitiful life and says "hey you know mann.. I could be named CJ Parker.. then people would like me.."

The Miz paused a beat.

The Miz: No.. you know.. they still don't. Half the people don't know even know how the hell you are, and the other half couldn't be less interested if they tried. I know because I did try.. and I failed.. you know kinda like you and CM Punk will this Sunday when you both try and beat me to become #1 contender for the PTG Title. Every 6 seconds an upstart rookie wrestler is given a pink slip, and fades off into obscurity according to a statistic I just missed made up to tell you that you're a loser and that you aren't going to last in this or any other company. CJ even if you brought Pam Anderson to distract me, and then brought Peter Parker to web me to the ring, I'd still find a way to beat you on Sunday. CJ Parker, would have to "park" himself inside a military tank to have any shot against The Miz.

The Miz paused for a second.

The Miz: Fanniversary.. a celebration of the fans. A chance for us to issue a thank you to the EBWF nation. Well fans.. you aren't getting a thank you from me. You aren't getting anything from me in fact, except for an absolute beat down of CM Punk and CJ Parker. That's the only celebration I'm planning on. A celebration of my becoming the #1 contender for the PTG Title, at Fanniversary there will be a celebration of a fan, it will be a celebration of the only fan I need or want.. me.

Because I'm The Miz.. and I'm...

The Miz said his last word softly before the scene faded out.

Awesome.
