Breakfast of Champions
The Johannesburg South Room at Hotel Monaco
.:: It was the day before the annual EBWF Fanniversary Pay-Per-View which meant it was time for the Breakfast of Champions. Every current EBWF champion was on hand for the event that benefitted the Make a Wish Foundation among others. The event was currently underway and in a break. People were standing around talking to each other and guests were at the tables of the superstars talking to them. The camera cut to Michael Cole who was standing in what appeared to be a hallway of a hotel wearing a suit and tie for the occasion. Cole held up a microphone and began an interview. As he began talking the camera zoomed out and you saw Damien Sandow standing next to Cole with the Breakout championship on his shoulder. Sandow was wearing a black suit with a dark red tie. The tie had the letters B&B on them. Sandow also was wearing a pair of dark black sunglasses. ::.
Michael Cole: Ladies and gentlemen we are here at the Breakfast of Champions event for charity. With me at this moment is the current EBWF Breakout champion, Damien Sandow. Damien, first I want to thank you for taking the time to come talk with me here.
Damien Sandow: No problem, Cole. We are in a little bit of a break here anyway so it is no problem. [Sandow paused.] You know Cole it feels awesome to be a part of something like this. Any chance I can take the help the masses of EBWF fans out there I take. I’m very honored to be a part of something like this.
Michael Cole: Good to hear Damien. While we are here today for a great cause, let’s not forget the real reason we are here this week. Tomorrow night you put your title on the line at our annual Fanniversary Pay-Per-View event. How are you feeling going in to this match?
Damien Sandow: Well, refreshed to say the least. I am sure you have noticed that I have been given a couple of weeks off here as of late. I bet you aren’t the only one noticing. I bet the EBWF management noticed in their television ratings as well. You can’t keep the Breakout Champion, the Intellectual Savior of the Unwashed Masses, off of your events for long. They learned this the hard way, and this was their way of making up for their mistake. Their simple mistake of giving me time to rest. [Sandow paused.] But now that I take a moment to think about it, I actually appreciate the time off I had. Now I can go in to my match for this championship [Sandow patted the Breakout Championship.] completely rested and focused. Now I can continue my quest to be the longest reigning Breakout champion of all time. NOW, I can continue to walk around being the golden standard here in EBWF.
Michael Cole: Speaking of being golden. You are aware that your opponent tomorrow night is the eccentric new coming Stardust right?
Damien Sandow: There is only one person in the EBWF that is connected to the word gold Cole. That is me. The last time you heard from me, in fact, I gave you all a lesson on the word gold and taught you everything you could ever want to learn about it. I am going to teach you all something again, right now. Stardust is nothing but Cody Rhodes acting like a child. You see, he realized he couldn’t do it on his own as he was. He knew CODY RHODES wasn’t going to cut it, wasn’t going to be given a chance to be a famous superstar in this industry. In other words Cole, he doesn’t have the talent or personality that I have. He knew the only way he would have a shot was if he put on a ridiculous outfit and started squawking around like a colorful parrot. Just like he is faux gold, Stardust will be proven to be a faux superstar! [Sandow paused and smiled. He then adjusted the belt to his other shoulder.] This belt has more gold in it than Stardust has on his whole body. Likewise, I have more talent in my amazing beard than Stardust has in his entire being! [Sandow again chuckled to himself.] I would like to reiterate something for Stardust in case he is listening to me. I know he wasn’t invited to this event seeing as he is, and never will be a champion, so I imagine he is just hanging out in his hotel room with the other peons of EBWF. He is probably sitting there in his skin tight outfit painting his face with glitter that he stole from a little kid. Sitting there, cackling out loud to his own jokes that he tells himself in his head. Stardust, before you go thinking you are made out of real gold I want to explain something to you. No person can be made of gold. Gold is simply an element. Things are made of gold; Non-living things. Literally speaking of course. Figuratively speaking, there is only one thing made of gold that is alive. And it will continue living after Fanniversary. That thing is MY Breakout Championship reign.
Michael Cole: Damien before I let you get back to the event, what is your strategy going in to this match? You have never faced the likes of Stardust and from what I have heard his in ring antics are strange to say the least…
Damien Sandow: Strategy? Cole my strategy is the same going in to my match tomorrow night as it always is. Stardust is nothing special. I don’t have to plan anything different for him. He brings nothing different to the ring that I have not faced in my current championship reign. I have beaten much more talented, established superstars. See, Stardust has a plan of his own that he brings with him to the ring. Unfortunately for him, I know his plan and I am prepared for it. Stardust likes to act crazy. He likes to get in the heads of his opponents. He wants you to look across the ring and see a deranged, terrifying figure and think to yourself, “What have I gotten myself in to!?” Well that is where he is going to fail. See, being the Intellectual Savior I pride myself is defeating these whack jobs. I have proven time and time again that being a level headed genius of a man is better than being a talented moron. Stardust? I wouldn’t call him talented, but I would nominate him the King of Morons! In my time in EBWF I have beaten some of the best head game players in the industry. Stardust does not even graze that category. I’m afraid being challenged by Stardust in head games matches would be like Michael Phelps being challenged by someone who can’t swim. Of course in that analogy I am Michael Phelps because I am World Class, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Stardust couldn’t swim.
Michael Cole: Good luck tomorrow in your match Damien.
.:: Sandow shook hands with Cole and walked out of the shot. The camera followed him as he approached some children fans and gave high fives and signed some autographs. The camera feed faded to black. ::.

Hotel Monaco
.:: The camera came on and you saw Daniel Rodimer walking through the lobby of the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. He was wearing a pair of tight blue jeans and a black shirt. He walked to the elevator and pushed the up button and entered the elevator when the door opened. He stood in the elevator for a couple of moments and then exited after the door opened. He walked down the hallway and knocked on a door in the hotel. A couple of moments later, Damien Sandow opened the door to this hotel suite. Sandow was wearing a black suit with no tie. ::.
Damien Sandow: Daniel! Come on in buddy. I have been waiting for you so we can head to the arena.
Daniel Rodimer: Speaking of which, since when did we show up to any arena dressed up all nice like?
Damien Sandow: This is a big Pay-Per-View Danny boy. And seeing as I am a champion I figured I would take the classy route! Just go with it Daniel.
Daniel Rodimer: Yeah, sure! [Rodimer paused for a moment.] Hey man, before we leave, have you seen the interview that Stardust did about your all’s match tonight? Dude is crazy!
Damien Sandow: Nope, sure haven’t! I’m not interested in what he has to say. He couldn’t say anything to change what I have planned for tonight already.
Daniel Rodimer: If you say so, Damien. Can I at least sum up what he had to say real quickly before we leave? Or if you want I could find it on the EBWF Network so you can see it yourself…
Damien Sandow: Just sum it up real quick while I finish packing.
.:: Damien started walking around the room grabbing things he had forgotten to grab and putting them in his bag. ::.
Daniel Rodimer: Well to sum it up… He just talked about how you are a liar because you are not really made of metallic material. Then he said something about how he was going to corrode your face with acid and watch your eyeballs fall down your face? Then finished up by saying the only reason you are champion is because of the weak competition and that you hold something called his “cosmic key?”
Damien Sandow: First of all, I am sure this cosmic key he speaks of is MY Breakout championship. Something he will never have in his faux golden grasp. Also, how funny that he brought up me being made of gold when just yesterday I was telling Cole that people are not made of gold. Only inanimate objects are golden, and the most important thing of golden around here to note is my Breakout Championship title reign. [Sandow paused as he stopped and looked at Rodimer.] Who is Stardust to question the competition in this company? The only reason Golddust… Oh sorry, my fault… Stardust has a job here is because of who his brother and his daddy are. I didn’t have coat tails to ride in this industry; I got to where I am all because of my own talent. With that talent I have defeated many talented superstars. A couple of times I have defeated multiple talented superstars at once to keep my Title. To be completely honest with you Daniel, Stardust is the weakest competition I have had for this championship. [Sandow smiled as he finished packing his bag and picked it up to leave.] Tonight after I defeat him, he will have no choice but to question whether he belongs or not in this company. He will quickly learn this isn’t the little leagues. EBWF is the biggest and best company in this industry. He will learn that tonight. Now let’s get to the arena and take care of B&B business!
.:: Sandow and Rodimer turned and walked out of the suite and closed the door behind them as the camera faded to black. ::.
