OOC: Just about finished uni for the year so I'll be able to put out better RPS. Good luck to everyone.
Fanniversary was a special PPV for everyone. It was a chance to give back to the fans and to thank them for supporting EBWF for many years. It also marked the first PPV that Ted DiBiase appeared at 5 years ago. In that time he had faced countless opponents, won championships and set records but one championship had elluded him that entire time. The Intercontinental Championship was the one championship that Ted DiBiase had not held even though he had challenged for it numerous times. He recalled his series of matches against John Cena, arguably his best work in the ring. He looked back at the championships he had won, and the pride he felt winning each one of them. Truth be told, Ted had been in a slump lately. Losing matches, and staying out of the top contenders spot had brought him down. He hadn't been as motivated as he should have been but he knew he only needed one big win to change all of that. But tonight wasn't going to be an easy match for him. He would be facing Syxx, the champion who had held the title for a number of months and who had defeated Ted in the past. His other opponent was Sami Zayn, a relative newcomer to EBWF but very impressive, chalking up wins and even defeating Ted on one occassion.
Fanniversary was being held in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and before Ted went out to compete he stood by with Renee Young for a prematch interview.
Renee Young: Welcome everybody, tonight is Fanniversary and with me at this time is one of the challengers for the Intercontinental Championship, Ted DiBiase. So Ted, tonight you not only face Syxx the champion but also Sami Zayn. Your thoughts?
Ted Jr: I've been in a lot of triple threat matches in my time here and I know that each one is as unpredictable as the next. Tonight will be no different and I need to be on my guard against two very able athletes, one mistake and the match will be over.
Renee Young: This is a match where the champion does not need to be pinned in order to lose the title, does that give you an advantage?
Ted Jr: I wouldn't say it gives me an advantage, though it definitely disadvantages Syxx.
Renee Young: Your other opponent is Sami Zayn, a very impressive young performer who has been on a hot streak as of late.
Ted Jr: I have to watch out for him. It's only a matter of time before he wins a title, but I will not be the one that he defeats tonight.
Renee Young: I have to ask, last time we saw you was two weeks ago when you were being taken out of the building by police for assaulting The Miz. Any comments on that? \
Ted Jr: I'll deal with that very soon, tonight its about Syxx and Zayn and winning the Intercontinental Championship.
