Christmas time finally arrived, and while most people would be at home sipping on gross, fatty eggnog and wrapping gifts and decorating a most likely plastic, tacky tree, there were EBWF divas like the Mean Girls that would be preparing for hands down the most brutal matches of their careers. Summer Rae and Eva Marie were found backstage conversing, Summer in a pretty red version of her usual wrestling attire, and Eva with a cute reindeer antler headband on top of her bright red hair.
Eva Marie: I just love Christmas. It should be like this all the time.
Summer Rae: Eva, you basically are Christmas. You have red hair.
Eva Marie: That’s true. All red everything.
She was smiling and twirling a lock of hair in her free hand, but her smile faded away and turned into a sneer.
Eva Marie: Except Santa Claus. He’s fat.
Summer nodded, but she was fixated on the title belt rested upon her shoulder.
Summer Rae: Yeah, that’s cute.
Eva looked at Summer and blinked a couple of times, before shrugging it off and looking around her absently. Finally looked up and smiled, flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulder.
Summer Rae: You know what Eva? I feel really good tonight. Nothing can stop us. I mean, look at who we’re facing.
Eva Marie: Yeah I don’t even know who we’re facing. But it doesn’t matter because we’ll win anyway!
They did their signature snap in unison.
Summer Rae: You got it bae. Let’s go get ready.
When Summer Rae saw that Eva had cupped a hand over her mouth and gasped, she turned around and nearly knocked over who was standing right on her heels behind her.
Summer Rae: OMG. What happened to you?!
When the camera zoomed out the crowd saw it was Sasha Banks.
Sasha Banks: Gee can you please slow your rolls, you almost knocked me up and over! Tuh. Hi to you too Summer. And Eva.
She put a hand up, obviously not pleased by the welcome from her besties. She was standing uncomfortably close to Summer, so much that it made her take a step back. Summer and Eva were bent over slightly, examining Sasha’s face closely.
Sasha Banks: Don’t you just love them! They’re Coco Chanel. Custom made for the holidays! I have a day pair, night pair, party pair, and of course a Christmas and New Year’s pair. They’re amazing.
With a closer look, you could see that Sasha was wearing very bulky safety goggles, complete with a thick headband that wrapped around her head. It had a candy cane stripe design on it. The actual goggle piece had thin gold tinsel going around the frame.
Sasha Banks: Ever since that fairy flunky Alexa and her cuh-razy elf on a shelf sidekick physically assaulted me with glitter and it hit my eyes, I wasn’t seeing the same! My eyes got so bad that it made me spray myself AGAIN! So I wanted to take an extra step and guarantee my opticalular safety. That’s why I’m wearing the goggles. I have to protect these beady beauties.
Eva had reached out to touch the colorful, shiny tinsel on the rims of Sasha’s goggles but Summer pushed her hand away.
Summer Rae: Don’t poke her eye out, she’s already damaged enough. Seriously, Eva, pay attention.
Sasha had reached out to take Eva’s hand and hold it, but completely missed. She squealed and looked very confused.
Sasha Banks: Oh. My. G. Eva, how’d you move away from me so fast! You’re like, right here in front of me. Have you been doing more cardio?
Eva Marie was several feet away from Sasha, and behind Summer Rae. But through those safety goggles, both of her friends appeared much closer than they actually were. Any sense of depth perception she had without the goggles was gone. She shrugged and went to reach for the belt on Summer’s shoulder, but once again completely missed and stumbled forward. Luckily Eva had caught her.
Sasha Banks: Ugh, thanks, I must have tripped. These floors aren’t safe. Anyways, what are you doing? Give me my belt back.
Summer held the belt defensively, looking slightly offended.
Summer Rae: Umm, Sasha… Eva and I have a match tonight. Didn’t you hear?
Sasha Banks: Of course I heard, I’m blind, not deaf. Tuh. But what does that have to do with anything? It’s still my belt. My outfit isn’t complete without it.
Summer hesitated to hand it over, and Eva had stepped behind Sasha with her own title and put a hand on her shoulder. When Sasha looked over to see Eva standing behind her, she was taken aback.
Sasha Banks: Um.. Eva, I love you boo, but you can’t put your face so close to mine.
Eva Marie: Oh, sorry…
All she did was take her hand off Sasha’s shoulder, because her face was nowhere near Sasha’s. Luckily enough time had passed for Summer to escape handing back the tag belt. Michael Cole approached the three with a microphone in hand.
Summer Rae: Michael Cole! Hey! How are you!
She gripped him by the arm and pulled him in between herself and Sasha and Eva. Sasha took several steps back, but Eva stayed in place while Summer smiled for the camera.
Michael Cole: I don’t think you’ve ever been happy to see me. The holidays do make everyone happy then!
Summer Rae: Don’t push it, Michael…
Michael Cole: Right. Well ladies and gentlemen, I am here backstage with the diva’s tag team champions, Eva Marie and Suuuaaaaa--
He noticed Sasha was also standing with them, and was confused.
Michael Cole: Summer Rae and also Sasha Banks, who seems to have made her return.
Eva Marie: Yeah, me and Summer will show our opponents, whoever they may be, just why they shouldn’t mess with us.
Summer Rae: Honestly, they shouldn’t even be in the same building as us.
Sasha Banks: Yeah, like, they all like fashion sense. It’s disgraceful.
Summer Rae: They honestly lack any type of sense.
Michael Cole: Yes, the “they” you’re referring to would be Alexa Bliss and Emma, who you’ve competed against before. You also have Trish Stratus and Natalya, aka Beautiful Dangerous, in this match up.
Eva gasped.
Eva Marie: Oh my god, Trish Stratus and Natalya! I didn’t know!
Summer Rae: She means she didn’t know they still were in this company.
Sasha Banks: Right. Trish Stratus wore a leather trench coat without sleeves, AND a cowboy hat! At the SAME TIME! And Natalya doesn’t even wear real heels. I don't think they even get paid anything if they can't dress like the BOUGIE bitches they claim to be. Please, Beautifully Dangerous can swerve.
Eva Marie: Beautifully Dangerous? I mean, they’re dangerous. But because they’re ugly. Natalya looks like a horse.
Summer Rae: Trish kind of looks like… I don’t know. She’s just weird looking.
Sasha Banks: So true boo, so true. I agree.
Summer Rae: Anyway, Michael. We have nothing to worry about when it comes to washed up grandmas like Natalya and Trish. Like we’ve said many times before, it’s time for the new comers to take over. There’s no room for oldies.
Eva Marie: There’s no room for babies either.
Summer and Sasha turned to look at Eva.
Eva Marie: Look at Alexa and Emma. Who are they even.
Sasha Banks: Ohhh, right! Yeah they’re lame. They even stole those belts from you two. And people want to call ME ratchet? That’s such a hoodrat thing to do. Stealing. Tuh.
Summer Rae: The point is Michael Cole, me, I mean, we, can easily take on any opponents thrown at us. It looks like we’re down to the last straw. How random can you get, throwing in two people who haven’t shown their faces in months. I don’t blame them, they need to stay in whatever little troll cave they bear crawl around in.
Eva Marie: We can take care of a few knuckle draggers like Trish and Natalya.
Sasha Banks: And we can take care of a smurf and her bagface friend. Because we have before!
Summer Rae: And that’s why we’re gonna win tonight. Simple as that. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have to go get ready.
Sasha Banks: Yeah, I need to go wipe off my goggles so I can watch you two slay. And I get a front row seat! Well… Like, ringside seat.
All three looked at each other with a smirk, and did their snap in unison, and left one by one off the set. Summer flipped her hair in Michael Cole’s face, Eva twirled her hair and then put it up in his face, and Sasha bumped into him, accidentally. The scene faded back out to the arena where the match would take place next.
