An EBWF logo flashed across the screen as viewers watched an EBWF.net exclusive on their electronic devices. Renee Young stood in the center of the frame holding a microphone.

Renee Young: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, the EBWF CEO and number 27 in tonight's Royal Rumble. Wes Ikeda. Wes?

Wes stepped into the frame beside Renee. He had on an EBWF Royal Rumble branded t-shirt, and the jeans and wrestling boots he typically went to the ring in.

Wes Ikeda: Renee, I already know what you're planning to ask me, and I have to tell you that while I have many thoughts on the Royal Rumble, I'm not sure I can articulate many of them. This is a match that will go on for over an hour, and it might not really be until the end that we can get any sort of resolution on this completely ridiculous turn of event.

Renee Young: You're referring of course, to Chris Jericho, Lance Storm and Trent?

Wes Ikeda: I am. That was of course a betrayal I wasn't prepared for, but since it's pretty customary to just share some general thoughts about the night, about going to Wrestlemania and becoming the world champion, then I suppose I'm not one to break from tradition.

Renee Young: Shall we start at the top? Entrant #1? MVP.

[color-lime]Wes Ikeda: Eliminated approximately 45 minutes before I even enter the ring. Next?

Renee Young: The Rock is entering at number two.

Wes Ikeda: I try not to take the easy route, but it's pretty fitting that The Rock would be classified as a number two. Because um, I can think of a few related things his been lately. Rock will last for a bit, but we all know that the only thing The People's Champ can really do more is run his ass off until he gets so gassed everyone else has to carry him to the finish.

Renee Young: Your thoughts on Dolph Ziggler?

Wes Ikeda: Is he in at three? After an IC Title Match? Tough break for that kid. He'll put on a hell of a show. And with a guy like CJ Parker entering immediately after him? He should be in the ring for a little while. I'll be honest, I'm not very familiar with CJ Parker's work. To be honest I was a little surprised that he still worked here.

Renee Young: Sami Zayn is another EBWF Superstar who hasn't been here for very long but seems to have made a huge impact. How do you feel about going toe to toe with him?

Wes scratched the back of his head, and shrugged a little.

Wes Ikeda: You know? The thing is, sort of like I said about MVP. By the time we get to 27, it's kind of a toss up about whether or not most of these guys are even going to be in the ring by the time that I get out there. Sami Zayn is a hell of a talent with a huge future ahead of him here in EBWF. Oddly, Syxx is coming in at number 6. The guy has been back for a while now, but he's finally seemed to hit his stride lately. He's one of those that might actually hang in this thing for a while.

Renee Young: I've noticed that you're saying a lot of positive things about your opponents, Wes. Are you too invested as the CEO to cut them down?

Wes Ikeda: No, I don't think it's that. You know, it's sort of impossible to have a personal beef with twenty nine other guys. It's a waste of energy too. I know Adam Rose is coming in at number seven, and he's definitely an interesting guy to have in the locker room. Though I've sort of felt the same way about him for a while. It's party time all the time of course, but sometimes I wonder if he put as much effort into actually wrestling as he did partying, if he might not be a more relevant force in EBWF. There are six unknown opponents in this match too, and there's no telling from which part of EBWF History they'll be coming from. There's a whole list of EBWF legends who would kill for another opportunity at the EBWF World Championship, just another moment at Wrestlemania. Who could blame them? I have those sort of dreams too, wondering what it might be like. One more match, one more main event. But that's not what I'm after tonight. Tonight is simply about stopping this new alliance between Jericho, Storm and Trent. An alliance that simply never should have happened.

Renee Young: Your next opponent is Edge. A former EBWF World Champion and Royal Rumble winner.

Wes Ikeda: There aren't really any questions attached to that. Edge is a fantastic place holder in a long list of very talented people. I don't know that he'll ever win another big one, but he's certainly supportive of the up and coming EBWF talent, and every locker room needs that. Ryback is in at 11, and I don't expect to see him once I'm in the ring either. Ryback is a classic example of all talk, no substance. Bites off way more than he can chew.

Renee Young: Those are really strong words about Ryback. Entrant 12 is another surprise for the EBWF Universe, but I'm sure you're well aware of who has drawn the number 13 in this Royal Rumble match.

Wes Ikeda: Brock Lesnar? Of course, he's been trying to run in and out of here, making my life miserable for over a year. Says a lot, doesn't want the match when it comes right down to it. I will say that Brock Lesnar is a huge part of the reason that I assume most of the twelve men who get in the ring before him won't be anywhere to be found once I show up. Brock is going to dominate the Rumble by virtue of his size, but that could work out for me in the end.

Renee Young: You sound like a man who wants to win.

Wes Ikeda: Look, Renee. If you're in this business and don't want to win everytime you get in the ring, then you're doing the wrong thing, and you need to go find what makes you happy. I'd be lying if I said the thought of getting a shot at the EBWF Championship at Wrestlemania wasn't something that lingers in the back of my mind. But the real plan, the real purpose, is to show Chris Jericho that you can't get too cocky around here without answering for it.

Renee Young: Wade Barrett follows Lesnar.

Wes Ikeda: If I'm being honest I don't know that I think much about Wade Barrett. Or Tyler Breeze. Now, I contemplate Stardust from time to time. How does a guy go through his life so completely bizarre? He's just weird. And he reminds me of this little bastard I used to know. Just bad, creepy feelings all the way around. Justin Gabriel's focus is sometimes a little questionable, but I honestly think the kid has all the makings of a star. I think we'll be able to look for some big spots from him tonight. Austin Aries came in hot when he got here to EBWF, but I'm guessing with guys like Gabriel and Sabin around him, he'll be eliminated. I'm not sure he has much of a chance. As far as Sabin goes, I've got nothing but love for the guy. I've known him for years. He's a product of BCW, trained with the best. Sabin's going to have some amazing stuff for the Rumble. Bo Dallas is a positive kid, but I'm afraid we're going to have to knock him down a few pegs. This Rumble is pretty stacked in the back, so Bo Dallas will need a miracle to get through it. Ted DiBiase isn't really worth mentioning. His motivation ebbs and flows so much I'm not even sure I can figure out the pattern. There's another unknown that'll spice things up, but then CM Punk enters the ring.

Renee Young: You've been quiet about CM Punk since he returned. Why?

Wes Ikeda: Punk and I have always had a really weird relationship. When he came back this last time though, he returned with a massive chip on his shoulder that I wasn't sure I understood. He was the one who left EBWF, so why he would be so irritated when he came back is beyond me. If I know anything about Punk though, it's that he becomes very irritated when he feels like he doesn't get what he deserves. Like someone else I know, that whole "best in the world thing"? He takes that very, very seriously. He thinks people ought to be giving him things hand over fist, just because of his name recognition, but I think he knows that's never how it's worked. It's not how the business ever works. You always have to work to earn respect, and he doesn't. He thinks respect is something you earn one time, and then everyone has to give it to you.

Renee Young: You enter following CM Punk and then the true test comes at number 28 when Trent enters the ring.

Wes Ikeda: I'm sorry... the true test? The arrival of Trent is my true test? You say some stupid things sometimes, Renee. Trent isn't a test of anything for me. I can handle Trent. Didn't the EBWF find the entire thing suspicious when Chris Jericho said that Trent was THE FUTURE of the entire company. God help us. Chris Jericho had the opportunity to handpick whomever he wanted to be the future of the EBWF and he chose Trent? One of two things has happened, either Chris Jericho has suffered a severe head trauma of which I am completely unaware, or he's got a plan that involves getting Trent to trust him by blowing smoke up his ass. I think that last one is probably the most likely.

Renee Young: And what about Lance Storm? The two of you have never seen eye to eye. When he gets in the ring with you and Trent? What do you think your odds are then?

Wes Ikeda: I don't know about my odds, but I'm sure that Lance Storm is odd. Talk about a head trauma. Half the time I wonder if I'm dealing with a brilliant wrestling mind, the other half he's like a walking, talking Peter Griffin. Guess all that time he spent with Bobby Lashley really rubbed off on him. Lance Storm is an old man, with old standard, and a fan base that relies solely on the existence of Chris Jericho. That's a hard word to live in.

Renee Young: That brings us to number 30. Chris Jericho. The two of you have been a roller coaster ride over the last three years, and he recently left his post as Interim CEO, reinstalling you as the permanent CEO of the company. Now the two of you face off in the winter classic. Your comments to Chris Jericho?

Wes Ikeda: Chris Jericho? I have no comment.

Both of Renee's eyebrows raised in surprise.

Renee Young: No...comment?

Wes Ikeda: No comment.

With that the EBWF Chairman walked out of the frame, leaving Renee gawking after him, before she cleared her throat and looked back at the camera.

Renee Young: We gear up for the Rumble, and not surprisingly, Wes Ikeda has left us with far more questions than answers. We'll have to see what transpires between he and Jericho tonight, it's the EBWF Royal Rumble, live from Houston!

The scene faded, the EBWF logo flashing once more as the EBWF.net exclusive ended.
