Almost. That was the word that summed up The Great One's night at The Royal Rumble. After starting the Rumble at number 2, The Rock outlasted 27 other superstars, but was eliminated at the matches conclusion finishing an impressive, yet disappointing for him, 3rd place. It had appeared due to his longevity in the match that the Rumble may be his night, but it was not to be. The Rumble was instead won by Dolph Ziggler. However, The Rock would still have a chance to be in that Wrestlemania main event. The first step would be to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match that was on the horizon. To do so, The Rock would have to go through Tyler Breeze in an Elimination Qualifier match. Without a doubt he would have plenty to say on both subjects.

The scene opened up outside of the arena in Austin, Texas. The site of this week's Monday Warfare. There were rows and rows of fans lined up. All of a sudden a stretch limo pulled up right next to the group of fans. A few men in suits left the limo first. After them a familiar man stepped from out of the limo. He was wearing an all black suit, and a pair of his signature sunglasses. He had a black bag over his shoulder. The man was "The Great One" himself. He had a big smile on his face, as the crowd present went crazy upon his arrival. Dwayne Johnson was indeed a man of the people as he went over to the crowd, shook hands and took a couple of pictures, he then signed a few autographs. A good looking girl in the front row grabbed his face and kissed it. Dwayne smiled wide, and motioned for the girl to call him. The camera followed him into the arena. He was in his locker room. Dwayne's cell phone rang he looked at the screen, smiled, and then answered it.

Dwayne Johnson: Hey baby girl, how you doin? That's good how's school?

A man in a gray suit, who held a clipboard, came into the room.

EBWF Backstage Worker: Hey Dwayne sorry to interrupt.

Dwayne Johnson: Hold on one second honey, what's going on Frank? I'm on the phone with my daughter.

Frank: Sorry, just wanted to let you know that Jim is just about ready for you.

Dwayne Johnson: Okay thanks, I will be out just give me a few minutes.

Frank: Of course, sorry again to interrupt. Tell Simone I said hello!

Dwayne smiled.

Dwayne Johnson: No problem, I will.

Frank excused himself and stepped out of the room.

Dwayne Johnson: Sorry about that. Yeah doing a spot with JR for my match on Monday. Yeah it was Frank, he said to say hello. Hold on gotta grab something out of my bag let me put you on speaker.

Dwayne did just did that. As he reached into his bag and put a watch around his wrist. Simone's voice was now heard on the other line.

Simone: Daddy, guess what? I have a date on Friday Night!

Dwayne Johnson: A date? Does he know who your father is?

Simone: Yes daddy, he knows.

Dwayne Johnson: What's Romeo's name?

Simone: His name is Chad.

Dwayne Johnson: Chad? What in the blue hel..

She cut him off


Simone: Yes daddy, don't be mean.

Dwayne smiled and shook his head, and spoke in a sarcastic tone.

Dwayne Johnson: Would I do that?

Simone: Yes!

Dwayne Johnson: What are you two crazy kids going to do that ends before 8 PM?!

Simone: Daddy!

Dwayne Johnson: Well?

Simone: We are going to the movies!

Dwayne Johnson: Why don't you show him "Walking Tall?" and let him know that if he ever hurts my baby girl, that that is what is waiting for him.

Simone: I don't think he thinks he could take you, he's only 14 years old.

Dwayne laughed and shook his head.

Dwayne Johnson: Well good, then looks like I got nothing to worry about.

Simone: Of course not!

Dwayne Johnson: Well it was so wonderful to hear from you princess, I do have to run can't keep uncle Jim waiting! I'll call you tomorrow, so proud of the young woman you are becoming!

Simone: Daddy, stop it you're going to make me cry.

Dwayne took a second, you could see it on his face that he really missed his baby girl.

Dwayne Johnson: I love you honey.

Simone: Love you too daddy!

Dwayne hung up the phone, and froze for a second. He shook his head and cracked a slight smile. He then stood up and made his way out of the door. The camera followed him into a room where two chairs were set up. Jim Ross walked into the scene he wore a black EBWF long sleeve polo and a cowboy hat. He shook hands with Dwayne, and the two shared some quick small talk.

Jim Ross: Dwayne how are you my friend?

Dwayne Johnson: I'm good man, how are you?

Jim Ross: Can't complain.

Dwayne Johnson: Want to hear something crazy? Simone is going on a date on Friday.

Jim Ross: Does the kid know who her father is?

Dwayne smiled.

Dwayne Johnson: Exactly what I said. She says he does.

Jim Ross: Then what do you have to worry about?

Dwayne smiled again, it was almost as if Jim had been listening to the phone conversation.

Dwayne Johnson: Well said. You ready to do this?

Jim Ross: Sure am.

Jim hooked his microphone in, as did Dwayne. The camera man counted down from 3, and we were live on EBWF.com with an exclusive interview.

Jim Ross: Good Evening ladies and gentlemen, I am Jim Ross, and this is an exclusive EBWF.com interview with none other than the man to my right, who of course needs no introduction, The Rock.
Rock how you doing today?

The camera panned to The Rock he had a very serious look on his face.

The Rock: Well to tell you the truth Jim, The Rock has been better. You see Sunday Night, The Rock walked into The Royal Rumble, the second entrant. Having to go the distance to walk out, number one contender. The Rock scratched, The Rock clawed, he fought with every last drop of energy that he had. Gave every ounce of sweat that he could give, and it was ALMOST enough. You see Jim, The Rock went through 27 other men, and found himself in the final 3. It was The Rock, it was Wes Ikeda, and it was Dolph Ziggler. Normally, that's a no brainer, The Rock likes his chances against those two jabronis.. but Sunday Night.. not to be. The Rock was eliminated from The Rumble match and from the EBWF Championship title race... or so he thought.. which brings The Rock to.. Monday Night. You see Monday Night, The Rock has a chance to take that leap once again into the EBWF Championship picture. To do so The Rock is going to have to win his Elimination Chamber qualifying match.. against Tyler Breeze.

Jim Ross: Yes Tyler Breeze, an up and coming young superstar in the EBWF. You got to think this is the chance of a lifetime for him. What are your thoughts on the match.

The Rock paused for a minute looking at Jim, before he answered.

The Rock: The Rocks thoughts? You want The Rock's thoughts? Well JR, The Rock's thoughts are simple. TRUE.. this is a chance of a lifetime for young Tyler Breeze. TRUE.. a victory here would change that young mans life. TRUE.. it would be the biggest moment of his life.. but unfortunately for him it's also TRUE That The Rock is just going to kick his candy ass all over Austin, Texas. You see JR, The Rock saw what that little roody poo had to say earlier this week. He saw Tyler Breeze come out, and run his mouth, run his mouth to all The Rock's fans. He saw Tyler Breeze come up and show his little pictures mocking the Rock's movie career, making fun of The Rock. Well to that The Rock says this.. there is only one man that is going to be laughing Monday Night.. well two men.. in the same night.. both at Tyler Breeze. The first.. will be Tyler Breeze's boyfriend.. trying not to laugh.. talking about "don't worry Ty.. it happens to lots of guys. You are probably just stressed because you are facing The Rock tonight."

The Rock paused for a second to let that sink in.

The Rock: The second.. will be the man that is standing across the ring from him on Monday. The man that won't need any 2x4 contrary to that picture you showed to all The Rock's fans, the man that will just need these two hands, and these two feet, to give you the ass kicking of a lifetime! The other man who will have a laugh at the expense of Tyler Breeze will be none other than The People's Champ, The Rock. You see Tyler Breeze, you may think that being in this business is all fun and games. That being in this business is about who can make the most wise cracks, who can work the photoshop on their computer the best, who can wear the most hair gel, but the fact of the matter is this, the most important thing in this business is what you can do when the lights are on, the fans are chanting, and that bell rings. Tyler Breeze you know just as well as The Rock, that when those lights are on Monday Night, the millions and millions of The Rock's fans are chanting, and that bell rings you are going to be in way over your head. Tyler Breeze you know just as well as The Rock, that you are going to be out of your league, and if you honestly don't know it.. you will when you are trying to dislodge The Rock's size 15 boot out of your candy ass come the matches end!

Jim Ross: You mentioned earlier that this isn't just a regular match. The winner of this match will be headed into the Elimination Chamber match at the end of this month with the chance to compete for the EBWF World Heavyweight Championship. That has to add some extra incentive to this match.

The Rock: Of course it does Jim. There's one reason why everybody in this business competes the way that we do. There's one reason why every man in this business puts their bodies and livelihood on the line day in and day out, and that's to be EBWF World Heavyweight Champion. It's what drives us, it's what motivates us. Well, let The Rock stop right there. It's what drives The Rock, it's what motivates The Rock. It's why The Rock came back to the EBWF, it's why The Rock came back to this business. The Rock isn't quite sure what motivates Tyler Breeze, or what drives Tyler Breeze. Most guys in the back, are training tirelessly, watching film of their matches, trying to perfect their craft. Tyler Breeze sits in the back and watches... his own reflection in his little pocket mirror. While most guys are hitting the weights, Tyler Breeze hits the blush. While most guys are putting their bodies through what ever it takes to be the best they can be, Tyler Breeze is putting... mascara on. Tyler Breeze has no idea.. AND THE ROCK MEANS.. no idea.. what it takes to be a champion, but more importantly JR, Tyler Breeze has no idea what it takes to be able to go ONE on ONE with the Great One. It's a task that is most unpleasant, and this Monday Night The Rock plans on showing Tyler Breeze, what the big leagues are all... about.

Jim Ross: Well similar you Rock, this man doesn't lack in confidence.

The Rock shook his head.

The Rock: Very true Jim, The Rock has seen him. Extremely confident, especially in his looks. Yeah Tyler Breeze, you pride yourself on being good looking. You pride yourself on being a pretty boy. Well unfortunately The Rock has some difficult news for you. After Monday you won't be so good looking, you won't be so pretty, you won't be so photogenic, in fact you are going to need plastic surgery just to resemble a person.. because The Rock will not rest until he leaves you a mangled mess right in the middle of The Rock's ring. The Rock will not rest until you can't even stand the sight of your own reflection, but more importantly than all of that Tyler Breeze, The Rock will not rest until the job of knocking every last one of those pearly whites right out of your mouth, is finished. So pretty boy, Tyler Breeze, The Rock says..

Jim Ross nodded as The Rock cocked an eye brow, and the scene faded to black.
