With two weeks away from WrestleMania, Warfare takes place in the city where the promotion ran by Wes Ikeda has its Headquarters. Not only WrestleMania season means the busiest time of the year in ring, but also outside. Several superstars will be defining their contractual situations after 'Mania' season is over, and many of them had taken the opportunity that this week's Warfare Live Televised event takes place in 'EBFW Land'.

According to Reddit user LFCfan4Ever, who has broken several EBWF stories in the past year or so, CM Punk had a business meeting this week with EBWF higher ups, regarding his upcoming renewal. Punk has been on and off television for this latest EBWF run, and while he hasn't had an major title run, he has been part of very memorable matches. Punk's renewal would be a no brainer if it hadn't been for a last minute offer made by Dana White's organization, UFC. Reportedly, the meeting didn't go as expected, and to this moment, CM Punk hasn't signed a contract extension with EBWF.
Punk has attended UFC 183, 184 and 185, he even posted a cryptic video sometime around October, Last year, at first it was believed it could be some sort of deal that would allow Punk work both UFC and EBWF schedules, such as an announcer or color commentator, maybe even hosting a UFC talk show, wes Ikeda replied via Twitter that White would have to cough up the money Punk was Worth if he wanted to have it.

To support the rumor of Punk jumping ships, word backstage says that Punk has been "fitter and slimmer" than ever, reportedly cutting down weight for his eventual UFC run.
CM Punk is scheduled to face Brian Kendrick for the Path to Glory title at Wrestlemania, with his contract about to expire, management shouldn't be high on pushing the former PTG champion over their recently returning Alumni.
