The camera faded in on an old multipurpose gym in San Jose. The room was largely devoid of people, with the exception of two men who were circling each other inside a squared circle, and Paul Heyman who was watching. Rows of exercise equipment lay barren, and one of the lights suspended above the ring flickered erratically. As the camera approached the ring, it became very obvious even from a long distance away that Brock Lesnar was one of the opponents, the massive frame of his that completely distinguished him from the rest of humanity. Heyman turned to see the camera approaching him. He subtly smoothed out his suit jacket as Lesnar and his opponent locked up. The man opposite Lesnar was darker skinned, with an extremely impressive physique. Heyman gestured towards the ring.
Paul Heyman: Meet Jason Jordan. He is a bright up and coming athlete in the world of professional wrestling. Make note of my nomenclature. WRESTLING.
Jason Jordan quickly turned the lock up into a side headlock and attempted to wrestler Lesnar to the ground with a judo throw. Lesnar dropped to his knees and stuffed the attempt. With one brilliant burst of strength, Lesnar grabbed Jordan by the abdomen and dropped him on his neck with a belly to back suplex.
Paul Heyman: Jason Jordan was the winner of a contest, hosted by yours truly on HeymanHustle.com. Apologies for the cheap plug. In this contest, the winner would be allowed to spend 20 minutes in the ring with my client, the former EBWF World Champion and currently the largest money draw the EBWF has ever seen. Now, you might ask, what good could possibly come from getting in the ring with Brock Lesnar? Why would anyone sign up for such a thing?
Jordan popped up as Lesnar approached him and hit a drop kick on the Beast. Lesnar stumbled back, and Jason Jordan went for the same maneuver. This time however, it backfired as Lesnar grabbed Jordan's legs and turned it into a devastating power bomb. Showing off his strength, Lesnar lifted up Jordan and hit two more power bombs, without ever letting go of the young up and comer.
Paul Heyman: That's a fair question. The answer is simple. Every wrestler in the world HAS to believe they're the best. They HAVE to. If they want to make it to a company like the EBWF, there is no choice but to believe you're better than everyone else. Otherwise, there's no point in being here and you may as well just go home. The wrestlers that signed up for my contest would get to spend 20 minutes with the most prolific, most dominant superstar to hit the EBWF since its birth in 2001. And, they get to have it taped. Makes for a nice resume.
Lesnar knelt down beside Jordan, who was face down on the mat. He began driving the point of his elbow into the back of Jordan's neck, punishing the young potential superstars body with devastating strikes. Heyman shrugged.
Paul Heyman: Worry not. He signed a waiver.
Heyman turned to fully face the camera.
Paul Heyman: I want you to consider Brock Lesnar's presence in the EBWF, at this day and time. Not for years have we had a man like Brock, a stiff working, hard hitting, mastodon of an athlete. Not since Stan Hansen, or Dick Murdoch, or Bruiser Brody for that matter. Brock Lesnar harkens back to a simpler time where men got into the ring to hurt each other. Brock Lesnar is not here to "entertain" you, Brock Lesnar is here to hurt you, make you cry out in agony and beg for the match to end. He's old school like that. And then, there's John Cena.
Heyman's demeanor changed, a look of disgust on his features.
Paul Heyman: John Cena is the opposite of Brock Lesnar. His antithesis. His negative. For all of his accomplishments, all of his athleticism, all of his freakish strength, he is but a slave. A slave not only in the literal sense, concerning his friendship with Wes Ikeda, but also in the figurative sense, when he goes out there each and every night and salutes the crowd and panders for their approval. Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. It's amazing he's been at it as long as he has. But that stops at Wrestlemania. For all of your desire to entertain the masses, my client has a hunger for destruction. He's the ultimate conqueror.
Jason Jordan took a wild swing at Lesnar, which Lesnar caught. Lesnar wrenched Jordan's arm and dropped to his back, wrapping his legs around his opponents and twisting him into a painful Kimura lock. Jordan immediately began tapping frantically, a look of agonizing desperation on his face.
Paul Heyman: And when Wrestlemania is all said and done, and the dust settles from the final war that we will all bear witness to, I guarantee you that MY client, BAAAARRRROOOOCCCKKKK....LESNAR, will stand tall, above the broken body of his biggest enemy.
In the background, Lesnar jerked Jordan's arm to the side, causing a sickening pop noise to be picked up on the mic. Suddenly Jordan's cries in anguish turned into blood curdling screams. Heyman leaned in closer to the camera.
Paul Heyman: And there's not a damn thing ANYONE can do about it.
The scene faded to an EBWF logo in the corner.
