EVA MARIE: My name is Eva Marie, and I'm here to make a name for myself.
The sound of Eva Marie's voice echoed throughout the arena. Everyone's attention was brought to the titantron as the dark screen faded into the image of Miss #AllRedEverything herself. Seeing Eva by herself was a rare occurrence, as she was usually at the sides of her BFFs, the Mean Girls, Sasha Banks and Summer Rae, but the flame-haired vixen just had to have something special prepared for the momentous occasion of Wrestlemania 14.
EVA MARIE: When I first broke into this industry, I promised you all that I would make a name for myself. I vowed to be the best and baddest diva that this company has ever seen. I made it my mission to ensure that Eva Marie would one day become a household name. And to no surprise of my own, I did just that. But let's be honest here... Looking at me, could you really be that shocked?
Eva smirked as she briefly admired herself. Her signature hair flip came into play as she refocused her attention and changed her expression into a glare.
EVA MARIE: Of course you were. All of you were absolutely shocked that someone like me came to EBWF as the newest acquisition to professional wrestling and managed to be on top of the divas division with a championship in hand. I heard it all when I first got here. "Eva Marie? Please. She's nothing but a model, and that's all she'll ever be. Someone like her will never amount to anything in this business. She just doesn't belong." I mean, why would you think otherwise? I was just a model and I had absolutely no experience. We know how that story always goes, because it's just so unheard of that a model can actually become someone worth watching in the ring. I mean, women like Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson had a plethora of experience when they first started out, right? Wrong.
Mentioning arguably two of EBWF's greatest divas of all tame gave Eva a certain satisfaction. In reality, both Trish and Torrie started off on the same level Eva did. But did they ever get any flack for it? None whatsoever.
EVA MARIE: We can pretend those two hags were never greener than grass all we want, but that's something that anyone with a brain would call "denial". Whether anyone ever grows a pair big enough to admit it, almost all of the so-called "legendary" divas were once in the same position I was in. So, tell me something. What exactly makes me different from them? Why have I gotten such a hard time when in reality, I'm actually one of the few models who has made something of themselves in this company. Would you all have rather I been another Kelly Kelly? Another Lacey Von Erich? How about another Brooke Tessmacher? Then you'd really have something to complain about.
Rolling her eyes, it was becoming clear that Eva was beginning to see red, and not just her own hair. She took a deep breath to regain her composure.
EVA MARIE: Unlike those flops, I took the bull by the horns. Yeah, I'm hot and I flaunt it. When I get an offer to be on the cover of a magazine, I take it. Why wouldn't I? Once again, I can think of countless of your precious divas that do the same thing without any type of problem. But that's beside the point. The point is, although I like to give back to the world by showing off what I have, that has not taken away from the fact that I've been busting my ass to do all those things I promised to do at the beginning of my career. That's why my name is written in the history books as a diva's tag team champion and so many of those failed models-turned-wrestlers are not.
Grinning devilishly, Eva relished in the fact that she was absolutely correct. Eva Marie, like her or not, was not someone who would be forgotten like those names she just mentioned.
EVA MARIE: So regardless of what anyone has to say, I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. Tonight, at Wrestlemania 14, I'm going to further cement myself in EBWF history as the woman who continues to prove everyone wrong. Go ahead and keep degrading me. Tell me I'm a weak link, convince yourself that I won't be around in a year's time - just like you were convincing yourself last year. And just as always, I plan to have all of you, especially Natalya and Trish Stratus, a pair of bitches who should have been in my corner and wanted me to succeed, seeing nothing but red.
Eva ran her fingers through her hair and blew a red-stained kiss to the camera. But it wasn't until she delivered a final line that her image disappeared.
EVA MARIE: My name is Eva Marie, but you already knew that.
