Warfare

OOC: Just a short one this week, it's been pretty hectic with work.
Another week and another win for Ted DiBiase. He was now the number one contender to the Path to Glory Championship which was now held by The Rock. But before Ted could go one on one with the Great One, he would first be in action against Dean Malenko on Warfare in Montreal. Backstage at the Bell Centre, Ted was dressed to compete and was confident that he would get another victory. As he walked backstage Michael Cole called out to him from the interview set. Ted approached and after a quick introduction, Cold began the interview.
Michael Cole: Good evening everyone and welcome to Warfare coming to you live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With me at this time is Ted DiBiase. Tonight you're set to go one on one with Dean Malenko, a skilled technical wrestler. What are your thoughts going into this match?
Ted began to laughs wildly as if Michael Cole had told the funniest joke in the world. After being bent over and laughing he slowly regained his composure.
Ted Jr: You're kidding me right? You actually think he has a chance against me?
Michael Cole: As I said he is a very skilled technical wrestler.
Ted cut Cole off.
Ted Jr: He was a skilled wrestler 20 years ago. Get out of the way, it's obvious you don't know how to interview.
Ted grabbed the microphone that Michael Cole held before shoving him away from the interview set and out of sight of the camera.
Ted Jr: Let's look at the numbers shall we. I'm 32 years old. I'm in my physical prime and in the form of my career. Dean Malenko is 54 years old and a shadow of his former self. Putting him in the ring with me is a death sentence for him. But it doesn't bother me. I'll take on whoever they put in front of me. I'll take them out. Soon I'll have Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson standing across from me and the Path to Glory Championship will be on the line. I'll take him out and take back my championship. Dean Malenko can't stop me tonight and neither can The Rock.
Ted began to speak more aggressively and his cocky attitude began to change.
Ted Jr: Dean Malenko wants to prove that he's not another washed up wrestler trying to replenish his retirement fund. I took out one washed up wrestler at Aftermath. Syxx learned why I'm the real deal. He learned what happens when he's against a real competitor. Let’s be honest here, Dean Malenko hasn't got a hope against me. He's been wrestling for over 20 years and in the last 5 years here in EBWF I have achieved more than he ever will. Dean Malenko has never been THE GUY in any organisation, no matter how much he tried he was never more than a mid-level loser. Tonight I'm going to end any fantasy that he has of achieving great things here. This is a young man's game and there's no room for dying relics trying to cling to the past.
Ted stepped forward to the camera.
Ted Jr: You might be the Man of 1000 Holds, but tonight you'll be the one tapping out. Once I'm finished with you Dean, I'm moving onto The Rock.
Ted dropped the microphone and left the interview set. Tonight would be another standard match for him, and another chance to continue his momentum leading to the inevitable match against The Rock, who would be arguably his greatest challenge since Wrestlemania.
