Mistaken Identity

I'm not him! I'm not him!
Todd Grisham shouted in a strained voice as he was drug along through the backstage area of the Air Canada Centre by the collar of his white colored dress shirt. The grip was tight and unflinching and provided by a man twice his size. Grisham's struggle was futile as no one was about to come charging to his rescue. A very big reason why is because the man pulling him along was Luke Harper. There weren't many people who were going to rush in the path of someone who looked as though they had legitimately committed a homicide during the course of their life.
I'm not him! I'm not..Dean Malenko! I'm not The Birdman!
Nothing the interview said, or screamed, was going to stray Harper from his course. Those hair-rising, bone chilling eyes of his kept locked forward and never seemed to blink a single time. Grisham was eventually tossed carelessly into a dark room and any chance of escape was not possible as Harper was right behind. His large frame guarded the door. Todd looked up from his hands and knee's and instantly thought the worst. There was absolutely no way anything good could come from his abduction. He was prepared to shout his case once again when he realized that he and Harper weren't the only people in the room. Grisham had been tossed in front of a throne of sorts. Something that wouldn't look out of place for Thanos to sit in during the next Avengers movie. Although, it didn't look nearly as extravagant and lavish as a movie special effect. The shadows in the room concealed the face of the person staring Todd down but the fiery red eye contacts made it very apparent who the culprit was. When he rose from the ceremonial chair, the mystery became even less of a riddle.
| Stardust | Dean Malenko. Bird Man. You thought you could hide from us?
At this point Todd realized that he was screwed. Completely, unquestionably screwed. Luke Harper admitted in his debut promo that sometimes he saw things "that just weren't there" and that "monsters" lived in his head. And Stardust..well..it was pretty apparent that he was utterly insane. And now he was trapped in a room with both of them. Two people who practically dripped madness.
| Stardust | Very clever. Changing your form like that. First as some kind of avian beast and now as a particularly feeble looking human being!
Stardust sauntered his way closer and seemed to inspect the 'disguise' of Dean Malenko while Harper stood unmoving and statue like behind the interviewer
| Todd Grisham | I--
Todd was almost instantly cut off as Stardust leaned in closely and hissed directly into his face.
| Stardust | Don't even attempt to lie to us! We know precisely who you are! Dean Malenko! Man of 1000 Holds! The Bird Man!
The being from the 5th Dimension placed his glove covered hands onto the sides of his own face and slowly tilted his head to the left, as well as his entire body
| Stardust | Are you still upset that I COMPLETELY TORE YOU APART at WrestleMania? Well, you shouldn't be concerned about that anymore. Because I'm really going to mangle you right now..
That change in tone was enough to get Todd to throw his palms in front of himself in protest
| Todd Grisham | Wait! Hold on a second here!
Grisham was snatched by one of his shoulders and yanked to his feet by the menacing Harper. Todd's eyes beaded back and forth between the two options he had been forced in between. Neither one was particularly appealing at the moment.
| Luke Harper | You say another word, boy, and you'll wish you hadn't.
That was all the motivation Todd needed to keep his mouth shut.
| Stardust | Where is he? Hm? Where is your partner? Where is STONE COLD "BAH GAWD" AUSTIN hiding himself? Why hasn't he come to rescue you yet?
Stardust began to scout around the room and creep about for any sign of the bad ass from Texas. He whipped his head back towards Todd and narrowed his eyes.
| Stardust | Oh. We told you not to talk and you complied. What a lovely little obedient meat puppet you are!
Todd was given a few pants on the head before Stardust snatched him by his shirt, coiling his fingers around the fabric, and pulled him in close.
| Stardust| We..have a plan. You see, instead of waiting for our tag team match, we figured we could just pluck your wings right now. A bird that can't fly is pretty useless after all! HA HA! Then all we have to contend with is Steve Austin! A handicap match, Dean! That's what it would be! Pretty fitting since after we're done with that RATTLESNAKE, he'll be confined to life in a wheel chair!
A wide grin took over Stardust's face and even more disturbing, Harper began to grin as well. Stardust's was of the maniacal variety while Harper's was harder to describe. It was the sort of grin a starving dog might have had, if it were capable of doing so, if it stumbled across a three course meal
| Luke Harper | Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
| Stardust | Oh, do you hear that, Dean? It's the sound of your inevitable demise drawing ever closer! The end of your existence. There won't be anything left. To sew you back would be a waste of stitches! No scientist alive will be able to put you back together!
Todd's increasingly panicked expression was not lost upon Stardust
| Stardust | What's wrong? You look like you want to scream. Here! I'll scream for you! HELP! HEEEEELLLPPPPP! SOMEBODY HEEEEEEEEEELP! HEEEEELP!
After shouting towards the ceiling, the space oddity returned his darkened glare to his 'Warfare opponent'
| Stardust| In space, no one can hear you scream, Malenko. Stone Cold isn't coming. He doesn't care about you! It never seemed as though you two got along very well in the first place! Hardly a respectable tag team! Not like Luke and I! We get along just fine. We have a plan. Did I tell you that already? A goal. And hurting you and Steve Austin is a part of that plan!
| Luke Harper | And if there's one thing I get any kind of joy from..it's hurting people.
| Stardust | Poor Dean! I bet you wish you could TAG OUT right now, don't you? Don't worry. After we're finished with you..we're going to find Austin. We're going to find out what it takes to make a big, strong, guy like that scream! Scream and scream! I'd love to fill you in later..but..well..you know..we're about to cave your skull in sooo..
Todd didn't know what to do. He was at a loss. Screaming wouldn't help. He couldn't run. Anxiety had set in a long time ago. He was at the mercy of two lunatics who were drawing in closer. His fate was in their unstable hands. He closed his eyes tightly and..
| Stardust | Wait a second! This isn't Dean Malenko! This isn't Dean Malenko at all!
Harper cocked his head to the side and slowly began to release his hold on the interviewer
| Stardust | This is just..pffftt..some guy! Let him go!
Without looking backwards, Harper placed his hand onto the door behind him and pushed it open. Todd looked ready to bolt before Stardust snatched him by the arm.
| Stardust | Oh. By the way. TODD. If you happen to run into Dean or Steve? Tell them how this felt. Tell them all about it. Because at Warfare, they are going to get to experience ALL OF IT..and more.
| Luke Harper | Run.
Todd sucked in a deep breath and nodded obediently. He didn't waste another solitary second and ran his way to freedom and not for a single second did he even consider giving so much as a glance backwards.
