Another Pretty Face

Post by Clover »

EBWF fans were very familiar with Tyler Breeze but it was unlikely that they knew very much about Matt Clement. That was the 27 year old behind egotistical model persona. He completely remained in character on his twitter account for entertainment purposes. The life of a supposed male model/pro wrestler seemed much more interesting than any real life exploits. But on this occasion, the veil was going to be lifted a tiny bit. Clement was going to be shot by ESPN for a documentary about the EBWF, to be released months down the line. Already in the Target Center, many hours before the Death Before Dishonor pay per view would take place, Clement was already in the empty ring. He paced lightly and began to plot out spots for his upcoming match with Bully Ray in his head. A voice could be heard speaking to him off camera

Director: So how close to you to your character?

Matt Clement: Very.

He gave one of Tyler's trademark, photogenic model expressions before grinning to himself

Director: And you've only been with the company a short while, correct?

Matt Clement: Yeah, not real long. I was signed by WWE but I asked for my release so I could come here. Kind of a risk since I was pretty much unproven but I think I've made the right choice..

Leaning back against the turnbuckle behind him, he began tapping a shoe against the mat. He seemed a little impatient. Or maybe a little anxious

Director: You've been on the rise lately. A Wrestle Mania match. Two titles. Wins over some guys who have been here for awhile.

Matt Clement: Right? I'm glad the people in charge have enough faith in me to let me go over guys like Ted, Cody and Trent. Wrestling is pretty crazy so I know I could doing dark matches in a month so I'm always grateful for every opportunity I get. They've all been to the highest point so I picked up as much as I could from all of them.

Director: And your upcoming match is against someone with a lot of experience.

Matt Clement: Bully Ray's probably got the most experience out of anyone I've wrestled so far. Everyone knows him. Dudleyz, Team 3D, ECW. He's a name. The fan in you is ecstatic for little moments like that. But the performer in you wants to make sure everyone forgets all about him and thinks all about YOU at the end of the night..

He grinned again before playfully shaking his hands about in front of his chest

Matt Clement: No, no. I'm kidding. Don't tell him I said that! Guy looks mean as hell, I don't want him to put me through fifteen flaming tables covered in thumb tacks or whatever.

Director: So you haven't been in a hardcore match before?

Matt Clement: I haven't! But I would! This match should be real interesting. I haven't really had a match with anyone like Bully yet. Our styles, our characters are completely different. He's in amazing shape so I've got no worries about him being able to keep up. He's a vet. I'm going to pick his brain every second and take what I can from him. Maybe if the program continues we'll have one of those bloody, flaming barbed wire matches. Can you imagine Tyler Breeze in a match like that?

Director: That kind of thing doesn't make you nervous?

Matt Clement: No. I want to be on top like everyone else. Pretty sure everyone in the locker room would do any kind of match to be THE GUY, you know? I want to be in main events. Evolve, do more, keep getting better. As long as I keep getting put into the ring with guys like Bully Ray, I don't see any reason why I can't.

Director: Any disappointments yet?

The young performer paused for a moment to choose his words carefully

Matt Clement: Well, my first title reign, I had some ideas for that. But, my partner, CJ Parker..uh..I don't know. He's not with the company any more. So it didn't really pan out. But I got a Wrestle Mania match out of it so I can't complain. He's..hopefully happy wherever he is now. Now I'm working with a guy, Bully Ray, who's made a lot of money and been a pretty big draw so that's only good for me. I'm sure there are going to be a lot his fans, guys who were super into ECW and all the blood and gore stuff that don't think I belong in the ring with someone like him.

Director: And what do you say to them?

Channeling his in-ring character, he smoothed his hands over his blonde locks

Matt Clement: "I don't consider the opinions of uggos"

Director: And where do you want to end up?

A small spark could be seen forming in his eyes

Matt Clement: Hopefully by the time this airs I'll already be there.

However much of this would end up on the final aired program was a mystery but there would be plenty more hours of 'Prince Pretty' being filmed leading up to the event to choose from

Tyler Breeze always traveled in style. When you were a successful male model and a champion it simply went without saying. Obviously, his vehicle of choice was a limo. A very nice one at that. Enough for a quartet to to fit inside comfortably. But this wasn't a douchey, frat boy kind of vessel. This was a much more fashionable carriage. There was no camera to film this, only Tyler's cherished phone. The deliverer of selfies, the means to broadcast the most gorgeous face on the planet to the entire world. Joining Tyler were three female models, each with hooded, furred jackets similar to his own. Their hoods were kept on, however. They were beautiful, anyone who associated with Breeze had to be, but they weren't allowed to even attempt to rival his magnificent looks. As if such a thing were even possible. Tyler allowed the viewer to soak in his perfection before beginning to speak

Tyler Breeze: Do you know..who I am?

The Breakout Champion smirked as he stated one of Bully Ray's most notable phrases.

Tyler Breeze: Of course you do. I'm Tyler Breeze. And I'm the most super good looking piece of gorgeousness that you will ever see.

The trio of beauties nodded in agreement

Tyler Breeze: I've never been bullied a single day in my entire life. Only unattractive people are bullied and that is just one word that cannot be used to describe me. I've always heard that a bully becomes a bully because they're unhappy and miserable. Well, certainly, if I had the same face as my challenger, I would be depressed and angry too. Hm. Not to mention his clothing..or hairstyle..or accent..or..practically every aspect of his entire being. I do imagine that could push a person to suicide.

A hand was placed upon his cheek and the blonde shook his head in a mock display of sympathy.

Tyler Breeze: Sometimes I feel just awful for people who weren't born ridiculously good looking. But I don't feel bad for Bully Ray at all. There are two very distinct reasons for this. The first being that he goes around showing off his ghostly, untanned calf muscles at every given turn. You're proud of THOSE? I'm sorry, but are you being serious? Is that what you have to cling onto? Do you what to see truly, defined impressive calves?

Tyler reached down to one of his pant legs and began to slowly roll the fabric up. His female models gasped and clasped their hands together, leaning in closely to possibly catch a glimpse. But the model thought better of it and pushed the leg back down. The trio were understandably disappointed.

Tyler Breeze: No. My calves are too beautiful to go exposing like some kind of slut. And speaking of sluts..

Tyler couldn't help but hide his devilish smile and the giggles of his model friends filled the limo

Tyler Breeze: ..let's take a moment to discuss your..uh.."arm candy". If that's what you want to call it. The second reason that I don't feel ANY sympathy for you being a class five uggo is because you, willingly, shove your tongue down that THING'S throat.

The Breakout Champion slid a hand around his throat, holding it loosely, while closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath. The models each applied miniature fans to Tyler to help clear the air and attempt to push away the queasy feeling that had stricken him

Tyler Breeze: I guess I shouldn't expect very much. I'm sure she's the best he can possibly do. Uggo's do tend to flock together. Even UGLY people need to attempt to find SOMEONE capable of loving them. But, honestly, where did you pick her up? Is she a prostitute? I mean, you were born in an absolute hell hole so you seem like the type that would indulge in that kind of thing. Who is she trying to impress by showing off that fat, blob like ass of hers? And all of that leather? I just..no. NO. It doesn't work for me, it doesn't work for anyone. Please, let's try and keep this a fair fight. Keep her away from ringside. Something that hideous would be a massive distraction. Even if my..GORGEOUS..good looks would entirely counteract it..

A few fingers lightly grazed his chin as he did what models do best: model

Tyler Breeze: And I do believe you stated on the..eh.."twittah machine" that you were going to..rearrange my pretty face? As I've stated, I'm not afraid to be hit. I can take it. I don't care how tough or bad you think you are. I don't care where you come from. I don't care if you gained your first means of exposure coming up through bingo halls while wearing the OFFENSIVE choice of tye-dye and overalls. And I, 100 percent, do NOT care that you've managed to drop a couple of pounds and suddenly everyone is supposed to believe your relevant. ..I..am..a CHAMPION..

The Breakout Title, which had comfortably been laid across the lap of one of the female models was taken by Tyler who presented forth to his phone

Tyler Breeze: I went a month without gold after that useless hippie cost me my Tag Team Titles. A MONTH. And I felt dirty. Unclean. Because I knew I deserved better. I know that sooner, rather than later, I am going to be the face of this entire company. The title that I won is just another step in cementing my legacy. When I showed up, everyone thought I was just here to entertain. They I thought I was soft. So I went out and I put on star making performances with each opponent I faced. Each opponent that I DEFEATED. Just like I'm going to defeat Bully Ray. Someone with a history in the wrestling business. A "bad ass" a "tough guy". Someone who can go "hardcore". So he's in the best shape of his career? Better than he was ten years ago? That means NOTHING to me. Because I am driven, absolutely DRIVEN, to make him just another notch on my belt.

Tyler spoke his words very clearly and deliberately, growing more focused with each ounce of success he tasted

Tyler Breeze: Do you know who I am? Go ask Ted Dibiase. The longest reigning champion in EBWF history, former World Champion, if he knows who I am.

Go ask Stardust, another former World Champion, a dangerous psychopath, if he knows who I am..

Oh, and go ask Trent, yet ANOTHER former World Champion, if he knows who Tyler Breeze is. I've defeated them all. Top notch, top caliber superstars. And what, precisely, has Bully Ray done so far? Won a triple threat match against a pair of nobodies? What he's accomplished years ago is irrelevant. We're talking about the clear, present and now. When our match is over at Death Before Dishonor. I want someone to conduct an interview with him. Shove a microphone in his face. All I want is for him to answer one question..

His face looked far more serious and intense than usual. The grip on his title became tighter

Tyler Breeze: ..Ask him..after I leave him laying..if he thinks that I'm just another pretty face..

The power button on the phone was tapped and the scene reached it's end
