RENEE YOUNG: "Tonight at Death Before Dishonor, Sasha Banks will be defending her Women's Championship in a triple threat match. And if that's not enough for ya', it will also be a lumberjill match, featuring every single Diva in the EBWF locker-room at ringside. Joining me now is one of Sasha's challengers, Torrie Wilson."
Torrie Wilson is shown standing by Renee after the camera pans out. Torrie displays a small smile, but nothing like her usual warm aura. In fact, the smile slowly fades away as Renee proceeds.
RENEE YOUNG: "As I've just mentioned, Torrie, tonight is the night where you finally have your shot at the Women's Championship after becoming the number one contender back at Aftermath. However, you'll be sharing the opportunity with Mighty Molly, who, following the interference of Eva Marie and Summer Rae during her Women's Championship match at Aftermath against Sasha Banks, was granted a rematch. Now, it seemed as though yourself and Molly were on the same page until last week on Warfare, when this took place..."
The camera cuts to a reply of the incident that occurred between Torrie, Molly, and Sasha on the latest edition of Warfare. Torrie being struck by the Women's Championship at the hands of Sasha Banks following Torrie's match with Paige, followed by Mighty Molly making the save and momentarily taking Sasha out, followed by Torrie pushing and slapping Molly across the face, followed by the brawl between Torrie and Molly that led to Sasha getting in on the action and taking them all outside the ring, and finally followed by the brawl finally being broken up by all the EBWF Divas was shown scene by scene. After the clip finished, the camera returned to Torrie and Renee, with Torrie unable to look Renee in the eye.
RENEE YOUNG: "It looked as if things certainly got out of hand."
TORRIE WILSON: "Yes, they definitely did. And I'm not proud of how I handled it, but..."
Torrie took a deep breath, visibly upset after reliving the entire brawl that transpired the week before.
TORRIE WILSON: "This is going to sound crazy, I know, but I just can't get what Eva Marie said to me a few weeks ago out of my head. Normally, Eva is the last person I'd be taking seriously when it comes to what she thinks about my career, but I've been thinking about it and thinking about it some more, and, well...I think she had a point. A good point at that. And it's been eating at me ever since. Even when I was in the ring with Paige last week, my mind was wrapped up in the fact that I was kind of cheated out of the title match that I earned.
She took a soft tone and shook her head, trying to collect herself.
TORRIE WILSON: "My entire career here at EBWF, I've always been patient. Every opportunity I've ever received, I worked my butt off and waited my turn for. I never complained when things weren't going my way. Instead, I proved why I deserved to have them go my way in the ring. Winning number one contendership for the Women's Championship at Aftermath was no different. I could have ran around and ranted about how I wanted to championship match so badly just because it's been so long since I've had one, but I didn't. No, I just came back from an injury full force, got in that ring, and earned that match. Which, unfortunately, is no longer the same match I was originally promised."
Torrie seemingly cut herself off to prevent getting too emotional over the situation.
TORRIE WILSON: "I hate how I sound right now, because this isn't who I am, but...can you blame me? When I was F5'd by Brock Lesnar, I didn't know if I'd ever be able to even stand here again. I had so many people tell me it was time to just give it all up, because someone who's 'pushing 40' clearly can't handle being in the ring like they used to. So when I became number one contender, it was like everything I went through was all worth it. I won that match and little girls on the street were reminding me just how inspiring I am to them, how they look up to me for my drive and work ethic. I'm a role model, I always have been and I always will be. And as I role model, I want all the girls who look up to me to learn how important it is to stand up for yourself and not take anything lying down."
Her soft tone was no more as Torrie became more and more passionate in her delivery.
TORRIE WILSON: "I understand that Molly was cheated out of a victory. And if you ask me, had it not been for the Mean Girls, she would have been my opponent for the title tonight. So I get her frustration and why she feels like she deserves a rematch, but what I don't understand is why she insisted for it to be on my time. Don't get me wrong, despite what happened last week, I do like Molly a lot, and I respect her even more. She's one of the people who trained me when I was first starting out, so I obviously feel a lot of gratitude towards her for helping me find my footing in this business and being able to get where I am today. But as someone with her caliber of experience, I can't help but feel that Molly should have expected an interference from the Mean Girls and accordingly prepared for it. I mean, those girls are savages and have always made it clear that they'll do anything to help each other. It's unfortunate and unfair that they cost Molly the Women's Championship, but a loss is a loss. In most cases, that would call to work from the bottom back up again. That's how it's been done for years, and I can't help but feel like that's how it should have been done in Molly's case. Is that so wrong?"
RENEE YOUNG: "I don't think many people would say it is, especially when looking at it from your perspective. But as of now, the match is set in stone. Are you at least taking comfort in the fact that both Eva and Summer have been banned from ringside? And even if they tried a run in, any dirty tactics would likely be blocked by the rest of the Divas who will be at ringside?"
TORRIE WILSON: "That's the saving grace in the match for sure. Contrary to what's being represented of the division as champions, there are a lot of respectable women in EBWF who I know are going to keep the order while the match is going on. I know Sasha has been seething over that since it was announced. For one, the Mean Girls aren't at an advantage whatsoever, and I couldn't be happier about that."
RENEE YOUNG: "Speaking of Sasha, let's not forget that the completely blindsided you last week with that shot to the face, which started that entire brawl."
TORRIE WILSON: "Believe me, I haven't forgotten that at all. Being attacked by Sasha is what completely sent me over the edge and it's going to be my pleasure to get some payback in the best way. Which of course, will be by taking the Women's Championship from her and bringing a level of respect back to it."
Torrie's signature smile found its way to her face after being absent for the majority of the interview. In turn, Renee found herself smiling as well.
TORRIE WILSON: "A few weeks ago, I said that Sasha has the women who made the EBWF Divas division what it is today embarrassed over the legacy she's trying to make for herself. It's been a few months since the Women's Championship has been held by someone the EBWF fans can admire, and a few months is much too long when you have women like Trish Stratus, women like Natalya, women like Velvet Sky, and women like me still giving their all to this company. Although it's not ideal, I'm leaving all the complaints backstage and going out there to do what I do best - prove just why I've earned the moniker of 'legend' around here. Renee, tonight is my night to once again make history, and you can bet I'm ready to become the Golden Girl once again."
Smirking, Torrie headed off in the opposite direction, leaving Renee, along with everyone watching, waiting for the performance of a lifetime.
