OOC: This is coded this time haha. Thanks Ashlee for the feedback last week. I am definitely open to more from all of you. I'm trying to mold this character and it's been a challenge, one I can hopefully keep trying at. Good luck, Nero!

After the second round of The King of the Ring tournament, many a superstar's path continued on to the crown, and it was not Seth Rollins’. However, Seth would still get to compete in a dark match against a recently returned Daniel Bryan. Backstage, Michael Cole and Seth were preparing to shoot their interview, which would be shown to the audience on the tron moments before he'd hit the stage for the match. When the two were ready, Cole nodded to the camera and the stream began.
Michael Cole: Ladies and gentleman, thanks for tuning in this evening. At this time I’d like to welcome Seth Rollins, who in the next few minutes will be taking on Daniel Bryan.
Seth took a few steps forward into the shot and smiled, nodding at Cole.
Seth Rollins: Thanks for having me, Cole.
Michael Cole: Always a pleasure, Seth. I suppose you won’t mind getting down to business and asking what’s on everyone’s mind?
Seth nodded once more and held his hands out.
Seth Rollins: I’m an open book.
Cole also nodded and continued to speak.
Michael Cole: Last week you were knocked out of the King of the Ring tournament by Justin Gabriel. Would you like to share your thoughts?
Seth Rollins: Cole, there’s no way I’m gonna look you in the eye and say I’m not pissed off over the fact I lost to Gabriel. Of course I am. But I’m glad I lost to someone like him. He’s got a new, badass attitude, and I respect him for saying what he wants without caring at all. It was a hell of a match, and he got me in the end. And look, he gets to take on Randy Orton. He lost to him last year at King of the Ring. Maybe he’ll get some redemption, who knows. I’ll even wish him good luck. I just hope he doesn’t lose though, or it’ll all have been a waste.
Michael Cole: But before Justin takes on Orton tonight, Seth, as I mentioned earlier, you’ll be taking on Daniel Bryan.
Seth Rollins: It’s gonna be a nice start to the show. No one will be disappointed. Actually...
Rollins placed a hand on his chin and looked thoughtful.
Seth Rollins: I can think of one person who will be though, Cole. You wanna take a guess as to who?
Cole shook his head, appearing clueless. Seth had to smile and clapped a gloved hand on Cole’s shoulder.
Seth Rollins: Really, man? I was trying to make it easy for you and make you look good. For some reason not that many people like you.
Cole looked over to Seth and down at his hand, which slowly removed itself from Cole’s shoulder. Seth sighed to himself silently as he answered his one question.
Seth Rollins: Daniel Bryan. He’s gonna be disappointed tonight, Cole. I thought you were supposed to be good with questions.
Michael Cole: I’m supposed to be good at coming up with them and asking them… Not answering them.
Seth Rollins: You’d think it’d go both ways. But that’s beside the point. My point is, tonight Daniel Bryan is gonna be the only person to walk away severely disappointed from our match. The fans here tonight will be witness to a true showcase of talent. They’ve probably never seen a battle like what’s going to happen in that ring tonight between Daniel and I. We’ve worked a lot together in this business, and I don’t doubt he will put on a show for the fans. There’s just been something bugging though, Cole.
Michael Cole: What’s that?
Seth Rollins: Daniel Bryan’s callin’ himself the “goat” now. I guess he kind of looks like one. But Dean’s kind of a drunk and he doesn’t go around callin’ himself Duffman. CM Punk’s a megalomaniac but I don’t know that he’s actually called himself “God”. Hell, Syxx called me a grease monkey.
Michael Cole: “Goat” actually stands for something, Seth. The “Greatest of All time”. G-o-a-t.
Cole interjected. Seth’s face lit up.
Seth Rollins: Yeah alright, that makes plenty of sense. But it ain’t right. Not by a long shot.
Rollins took a second with a brief pause as he shook his head.
Seth Rollins: See, if Daniel’s gonna call himself that, he’s gonna have to prove that’s true against me. And that’s not a favorable situation for him. A challenge is what he’s gonna provide tonight, and a challenge is something I’m not afraid of. Losing to Justin Gabriel is just my straying a little from the path, but me beating Daniel Bryan will get me back on track to making an impact here. For a guy like him though that’s got a whole movement behind him, one where people willingly take to him, it won’t be too rough a loss. His fans-- his people have got his back and that extra support goes a long way. When I lost to Gabriel all I had was Dean. And well… You can use your imagination and probably picture a thousand scenarios on how that goes. For a lot of other people tonight is all about winning. You’ve still got guys gunning for King of the ring, and you’ve got women fighting to be the Queen of the ring. With Daniel and I it’ll be all about proving one thing and one thing only: that both of us are destined to be outstanding in this company. So while either one of us could walk out of here with a loss, both of us will still walk away with a win knowing that the match we put on is gonna be one for the ages.
Michael Cole: I think most of us can agree that will be the case, Seth. There's been a lot of talk about this match already, mostly surrounding you two's styles. How do you think you fare against each other?
Seth Rollins: Both of our styles are unique. Where my weakness is lies Daniel’s strength with submissions. My strength lies in my ability to be able to not only dish out the attack but take it as well. I can outlast him and that’s his weakness. But what’s going to be the prevalent factor in this match is our sheer fortitude and desire to show each other up. It’s not a matter of who’s better and who’s worse in terms of winning or losing here, Cole. Getting the pin is just an added benefit. A benefit I intend in getting, nonetheless.
Michael Cole: I’m not sure that you got a chance to see this, but Daniel did mention you were quote unquote, a coward, arrogant, and cocky.
Seth had an indifferent look about him.
Seth Rollins: That’s supposed to make me mad? To him I’m probably a lot of things, considering I’m his opponent. That’s what you do. You try and get in your opponents head. It didn’t work for him, so maybe this is my way of getting into his head. I have nothing to prove to Daniel Bryan. Only to myself like he said, that I’m gonna continue to reach new heights and set new limits for the people that step in the ring with me. Beating Daniel Bryan is definitely gonna be a large factor in continuing with that, whether he likes it or not.
Seth turned himself to face Cole a little more directly to make yet another inquiry.
Seth Rollins: So should I defeat Daniel Bryan, what’s that mean? How’s the goat thing work? Does that mean I become the greatest of all time? That’d be pretty cool.
Cole looked to him with eyebrows raised and shrugged.
Michael Cole: I’m not sure--
Seth Rollins: Oh. I forgot. You only ask the questions here. You don’t have the answers. Got it.
Seth patted Cole on the back and said one last thing before he walked past him off screen.
Seth Rollins: I wonder why nobody likes a decent guy like you.
Cole gave Seth a looked that begged all sorts of questions but instead turned back to the camera to wrap things up.
Michael Cole: Seth Rollins, everyone. Make sure you stick around to catch him in action next.
The tron went to black as the fans continued to cheer, eager to see the match.
