OOC: Working an overnight bball camp this week. Hope you guys enjoy this though!
The Miz could easily be considered one of the more controversial figures in the history of the EBWF. He often showed little to no regard for anyone's best interest in the world of wrestling besides his own. He has formed factions, led the EBWF as it's world champion and also has held every major title in the company. He is cold, calculated, self centered, but also whether you agree with his methods or not unquestionably successful. On the other side of the coin you have The Rock. A man who has redefined charisma in the setting of sports entertainment. His success came mainly in a WWE ring in the late 90's, but he has also accomplished quite a bit in the EBWF as well. It's hard to argue that even in 2015, The Rock still holds a lot of respect and adoration for his contributions to this business. When it came to the fans the two men could not be more opposite. The Miz, is a pariah to the people, at least as of late. His alliance with Ted DiBiase has sent fans back into the days of the trilogy in which Miz was arguably the most hated man in wrestling. The Rock, on the other hand is the peoples champion. The people love him, and each and every time he is seen on EBWF television it is a spectacle in itself. So when Miz and Rock go head to head at EBWF King of the Ring in St. Louis Missouri one thing is for sure, people will be rooting for the champion, but what's not so for certain is which man will have his hand raised when the night ends!
The scene opened up inside an EBWF studio. Manning the desk of the King of the Ring pre show was Todd Grisham and Jonathan Coachman both dressed in suits. They both had excited smiles on their faces as the show began.
Todd Grisham: Good evening EBWF fans and welcome to the King of the Ring pre show. Tonight we will talk all things King of the Ring, including making our own predictions as to which man and which lady are going to walk out with that very title, but turn our attention to another title that's up for grabs tonight.
Jonathan Coachman: That's right Todd, we speak of course about the EBWF Path to Glory Championship that is currently being held by The Rock. Rock has not yet had the opportunity to cash this title in for another shot at the EBWF World Heavyweight Championship, so he will definitely be looking to retain that title tonight when he goes one on one with The Miz.
Todd nodded.
Todd Grisham: Miz returned about a month ago, to viciously attack The Rock, after The Rock successfully defended his title against Miz' ally, Ted DiBiase.
Jonathan Coachman: Which led to this exchange of words from the two of them at Warfare last Monday night..
The segment from Warfare was shown where Rock came out and issued a challenge to The Miz for King of the Ring.
Todd Grisham: Intense stuff, so joining us now over the phone is none other than the challenger in tonight's match. The Miz.
ON THE PHONE: THE MIZ was seen on the screen. However, it was Ted DiBiase's voice that was heard first.
Ted DiBiase: I'm here too dickweed.
Todd Grisham: It appears we are also joined by Ted DiBiase. Hello guys.
ON THE PHONE: THE MIZ- TED DIBIASE was now what the screen read.
The Miz: Hello guys? Really? Todd you are on the phone with the man who that is about to thwart the PEOPLES CHAMPION and become the Path To Glory Champion, which means he is ALSO about to become the EBWF World Heavyweight Champion. Which means he's once again going to be thought of as what everyone deep down already knows he is and that is the pinnacle the elite the best of the best, the superstar among superstars, your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler. When I say he, I'm referring to myself Todd, because apparently that's the cool thing to do refer to yourself in the third person. So Todd, you're on the phone with The Miz and Ted DiBiase, and you start with hello guys? What the hell? Where is Michael Cole when you need him?
Todd seemed confused.
Todd Grisham: Well what do you want me to say?
The Miz: The fact that you have to ask Todd.. it's already pathetic enough. Could I come up with a better greeting? Yes of course, I can do anything I'm the freaking Miz, but it's not my job. My job is to beat The Rock's ass at King of the Ring, and unlike you and your jamoak buddy Coachman, I plan on doing my job very very well come Sunday Night.
Jonathan Coachman looked upset.
Jonathan Coachman: Who are you calling a jamoak?
Ted DiBiase: You.
Jonathan Coachman: Ok just checking.
He put his head down.
The Miz: You see guys, I'm not even sure I'm ready to hear any of your questions about my match. So I'm just going to go ahead and tell you what I think.. no I know.. is going to happen. The Rock is a guy who returned a couple months ago, from a movie shoot.. or a commercial shoot.. or was it a porn shoot.. guy just says yes to everything I can't even keep track of what he's currently up to. SO he returns to the EBWF and everybody cheers woo hoo yeah.. The Rock is back. Whoopdie freaking doo.. who cares. The Rock because he has brown nosed his way to the top of every business he's ever been in gets a title shot right from jump street.. because of course he does. He loses to Solomon mother effing Crowe. Then he rebounds wins the PTG Title alls well that ends well, right?
Jonathan Coachman: So are you going to tell us what's going to happen or not?
Ted DiBiase: Shut it jamoak.
Coachman again put his head down.
The Miz: I'm getting there.. All's NOT well that ends well, because the ending of The Rock's feel good comeback takes place at King of the Ring.. because you see The Rock isn't the only person to return to EBWF as of late. I did too, and unlike The Rock losing to Solomon Crowe, my first order of business was leaving his "candy ass" in a pool of his own blood flat on his back. My eyes have been set on that PTG Title, because I know how much it means to him. I know he thinks it's his ticket back to the top. Trust me guys, I don't care how much The Rock tweets about going to the gym... BICEP DAY.. AWESOME.. loud grunts MAN YEAH.... GYM! I don't care.. The Rock is not strong enough to carry the EBWF as it's champion. He's washed up, he's a façade, he's false bravado in shirts that are 3 sizes too small for him. So I'm going to save The Rock the trouble of letting his little cult following down, by just taking his title at King of the Ring, so that a man with the strength, the talent, to carry this company, can once again do just that. I'm telling you right now as sure as I'm talented, as sure as I'm handsome, as sure as I'm must see and captivating, is as sure as I am the NEXT EBWF World Heavyweight Champion, as soon as I get done ending an unrealistic image of the great one, and steal his golden ticket, the world will remember JUST how GREAT.. just how ELECTRIFYING.. THE Miz truly is. They won't like it.. but THE MIZ WIPES A MONKEY'S ASS with what they like!
Ted DiBiase: It doesn't matter what they like!
The Miz and Ted were laughing and Todd and Coach looked like they didn't quite know where to take this.
The Miz: Oh shit, we're still on the phone.
Ted DiBiase: Hello guys..
The Miz: Nice..
More laughter.
Todd Grisham: So as usual you seem confident. Well without question The Rock will be confident too, arguably two of the biggest ego's in pro wrestling clashing this Sunday.
The Miz: You know why people have an ego Todd? It's usually because they are great, and that's why scrubs like you try and put them down and say they have an ego. Oh he's cocky.. oh he's arrogant. When really your saying.. oh I'm a loser.. oh he's cool.. oh I wonder what sex with a girl feels like.. oh he knows.. oh I hate him. So do I have an ego? Yes.. because I'm great. I have been a star in this business for as long as you've been striking out at bars Grisham.
Ted DiBiase: You too coach.. ya jamoak.
The Miz: So yeah I have an ego, I have confidence. When it comes to The Rock, he has an ego, but his is a little bit different. His ego is an act, it's created to mask his own insecurities he's tricked the world into thinking he's this big deal, but really what is he? He's a clown in a tanktop instead of Red shoes. He's trying to blow the dust of an act that was popular when Limp Bizkit was still pumping out hits. Guess what Rock, if you think that your flame is going to reignite, your obviously not aware that I'm going to be "Rollin" over you on Sunday, or that I'm going to "break stuff" like your dreams of being world champion, and it doesn't matter if you have "faith" or not, because you're still going to lose, because quite frankly I'm determined to win and I'm going to do it "my way." That's 4 Limp Bizkit references for those keeping score at home.
Ted DiBiase: Should make Rocky feel a little more comfortable.
The Miz: But he won't be comfortable at King of the Ring, because referencing excellence aside, I'm completely locked in on becoming the EBWF Path to Glory Champion once again. It is a title, that launched me to my first world title a few years back, and I have no doubt.. AND THE MIZ MEANS.. no doubt that it will do the exact same thing for me this time around. Rock better hope that Tooth Fairy 2 gets the green light, because I'm putting a resounding RED LIGHT on his time here. BECAUSE.. as you two stooges know even though I haven't been here in awhile.. I'm still The Miz... and oh yeah you better believe.. I'm still awesome.
Ted DiBiase: Interview over.
The phone was hung up and Grisham and Coachman stared at each other pondering what had just gone on.
Todd Grisham: Welllll there you have it, an obviously VERY confident Miz heading into his Path To Glory Championship match with The Rock on Sunday Night. We'll be right back folks.
The program went to a commercial as the scene faded out.
