OOC - Good luck to everyone with matches this week. Apologies for the short RP, my daughter has been a pain so had hardly any RP time, so wasnt able to give this as much time as I wanted! Stupid real life getting in the way of things!
The EBWF logo slowly faded and the cameras were filming in what looked like one of the most state of the art gymnasiums money can buy. Immaculate training equipment covered every inch of the gigantic room. A beaming Ted DiBiase senior is stood, waving the waiting reporters over to the ring that filled the middle of the room. The cameraman slowly moved over to DiBiase in order to record his thoughts on Hideo Itami’s up and coming match with The Undertaker.
“Ladies and gentleman let me welcome you to the Million Dollar gym. This is the dream factory where the stars of tomorrow are born. Over there is my number one investment.”
At this point DiBiase pointed to the ring behind him where Hideo Itami was practising martial arts on his own. Moving around the ring at a lightening pace carrying out various kicks and punches to thin air, the sweat on his brow seemed to indicate he had been training for some time.
“Soon to be the biggest, brightest star in all of the EBWF, and will make me even richer! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
DiBiase’s head was thrown back in his trademark style as he laughed.
“At Sacrifice the Japanese sensation Hideo Itami will have a match with The Undertaker.”
Ted paused while speaking, leaving that statement hanging in the air.
“The last we saw of The ‘Taker was at Warfare where to show how powerful he still is he attacked a near 400 pound, old sack of meat called Mankind! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The very same night Hideo Itami went one on one with the best technical wrestler in the world right now, Daniel Bryan. And you know what? Itami pinned him one, two, three. So while The Undertaker spent his evening impressing noone by beating up someone who looks like a homeless bum, my man over here was out wrestling, and beating the best.”
Itami continued his in ring training, he seemed almost oblivious to the camera crew filming him. DiBiase looked into the camera, pointing, directly addressing The Undertaker.
“Dont forget who gave you that break all those years ago. Don’t forget you were part of MY team and look at the career you’ve had. You’ve travelled the world, you’ve held every title you could ever have wanted and beaten the very best there is. So many guys in the locker room dream of having a career half as good as yours. You’ve gone to the highest of highs and you know what, you wouldn’t have seen half of those without me. And now I’m starting on that same path again, only this time with Hideo.”
“You see Mark you’ve built your career on theatrics and parlor games. Trying to play mind games, intimidating your opponents with the same tricks. I’m sure you’ll get out the dry ice and smoke machines. You’ll dig that urn out of the prop cupboard. I’m sure you’ll visit some graveyard and roll your eyes in the back of your head and look into the camera as menacingly as you can and tell EVERYONE how you’ll chokeslam Itami to hell. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You’ll talk about hell fire and brimstone. You’ll tell me and you’ll tell Hideo to rest in peace. But when those druids go back to whatever acting agency you hire them from and then you’ll slowly step into that ring. You slowly take off that long trench coat, you slowly take off that hat. All the while we’ll hear about how you’re the phenom, the Deadman, the legend. Then the bell will ring and all those tricks and mind games end. Thats when it becomes Itami time. You will be stood in the ring with a man who is younger, stronger, faster and in every single way a better wrestler than you. You will go toe to toe with the very best in the business right now and there’s only one outcome.”
As if he sensed the added intensity of DiBiase’s words Itami began speeding up his movement around the ring with much faster sequences of punches. The Million Dollar Man carried on speaking with a smile on his face once again.
“‘Taker your time at the top is over, and has been for years, and at Sacrifice it’s time for Hideo Itami to show the entire world that. Everyone has a price Mark, I’m a proud man, but I’m here asking. No I’m here begging you, how much will it take to convince you NOT to get in the ring with Itami? Because I dont want to see a man who I introduced to the world back in 1990 get embarrassed so badly inside that squared circle. I respect you that much I don’t want to see that happen to you. I don’t want to see that legacy turned to ashes, and for you to be humiliated for even thinking you could compete with Hideo. But I know you Deadman, I know you’ll step through those ropes and a part of me doesn’t want to have to leave Ohio with you flat on your back. But another part of me cannot wait to see the wrestling masterclass Itami will put on for everyone in attendance, and seeing him once and for all show the EBWF and entire world that you are a has been.”
DiBiase started to walk around the ring so the camera followed him, getting a different angle on Itami’s in ring training.
“Once again it will be Itami time and a chance for everyone to see just what a lethal weapon has arrived in the EBWF. The Undertaker will be just another victim on our road to the top! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
As he ended speaking DiBiase spun on his heels and walked towards Hideo’s training ring shouting words of encouragement as the cameras left the room.
