The words EBWF.net Exclusive appeared before fading to the partially grainy footage of a selfie camera on a smartphone. The blurry effect subsided and focused in on the chiseled jawline of Randy Orton. His focus was off in the distance.

Randy Orton: I happened to look at the card for Destiny and saw that I had the prestigious opportunity to fight for the vacated Path to Glory Championship.

He clenched his teeth, the muscles in his jaw flexing as he forced a smirk.

Randy Orton: I cannot tell you what an ... honor that is.

With a scowl, he rolled his eyes.

Randy Orton: You know what, I can't do this. I was told to film this video where I talked about guys like CM Punk, and Ted Dibiase, Jr, and Justin Gabriel. Guys who I have been in the ring with. Every. single. one. I was told to talk about how this is a great opportunity for me to get back into the swing of things. I need to talk about how I am ready to get back on the road, and make a big impact in the world of EBWF. The fact is, I just can't pull that off. The main reason being that being in a match with the likes of Justin Gabriel, Ted Dibiase, and CM Punk, is like time warping to 2012. I want to be in matches with guys who are hungry, like Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, or Sami Zayn. Instead, I'm stuck with the trio that time forgot.

He sighed, shaking his head. His brow furrowed in frustration as he turned his gaze directly into the camera.

Randy Orton: I get it. The brilliant guys on the 30th floor of EBWF headquarters decided that they should start me halfway down the card. Put Randy Orton in a spot where he can work his way back up. I've never claimed they were the brightest people in the world, and seemingly this is a perfect example of why. Ted Dibiase, Jr.? How many times have I pinned that guy? Now he's getting a shot at the Path to Glory Championship. Did I miss something? Now, you might be aware of the fact that I've been a little busy over the last several months. My life has taken on a different shape lately, and I've been making adjustments. I could have sworn by the time I got back that Ted Dibiase would be putting the ring together as a full-time career. Now I'm hearing that he's in Vertex, lacing up the Miz's boots and shining his sunglasses. How many times does Ted Dibiase have to latch on to someone else before he realizes that, just like his Daddy, he can't make it on his own? You see, that's the difference between me and Ted. I took the opportunity afforded to me by my father and I ran with it. Now, I'm a bigger star than dear old Daddy could have ever hoped me to be. I am.. STILL... the longest reigning World Champion that this company has ever seen. I am the only man to win back to back King of the Ring matches in EBWF history. Ted Dibiase got his token World Title run, but he'll never win another one. Not so long as I'm around.

Randy narrowed his eyes in contemplation, looking off into the distance.

Randy Orton: And then there's... CM Punk. I'll admit, the EBWF history books look at our matches pretty Even Steven when all is said and done. The savior of the EBWF. The only man in the history of this company to ever convince me to play second fiddle to him in any sort of alliance. At least he's got that feather in his cap. Punk's got one thing on the other two people in this match besides a respectable title history - he's extremely comfortable around a microphone. I'll give him this - Punk can talk a good game. There is no planet, however, in this universe or any other, that I would consider him my equal. I have beaten too many people in this company. I've conquered too many special events, and shattered too many records to look at CM Punk as a peer. Well, to be fair, I don't consider anyone a peer. I certainly don't consider Justin Gabriel a peer. A man who, despite the fact that he spends his free time performing some of the most death defying acts, is the most boring man of my three opponents in this match. I don't even know how that happens. Here's a guy who jumps out of airplanes. Bungee jumps. Goes parasailing and base jumping. He's a thrill seeker. Yet, when he gets on the mic he sounds like a South African Ben Stein on tranquilizers. Matter of fact, I'm not even sure I want to win this match because I want the Path to Glory Championship. If anything, I want to make sure the none of these three other chumps wind up with it. I will, however, tell you the main reason why I couldn't cut the promo that they wanted me to.

He cocked an eyebrow at the camera.

Randy Orton: Truth is, I'm not here to make a big impact. That isn't my goal. I already do that. Every time I step into that ring, I make an impact. Every time I square off against an opponent, even one as boring as Ted Dibiase or Justin Gabriel, I make an impact. It might be my foot in their skull, or it just might be the sound of my music as I walk down the aisle. It doesn't matter if I'm gone for a couple weeks, a couple months, or two years. When I get into the ring, it's mine. That ring belongs to me. And when the bell rings on Sunday night, and I get into my ring and take the Path to Glory Championship from three hungry chumps desperate to cling on to their relevance, I will illustrate just how much the EBWF Universe has missed me.

Randy smirked.

Randy Orton: And when I get that title and the people see what I do to the current World Champion, they'll remember why they shouldn't have.

The scene faded to black.
