A Battle Of Respect

The scene faded in on the backstage area of Warfare. Jeff Hardy was standing by with his Breakout Championship on his shoulders. He had just defeated Bad News Barrett when he was told that he would be going one on one with the returning Undertaker. Hardy no stranger to the Deadman knows exactly what it is going to take in order to take him down. Jeff smiled a little bit as he looked to the camera. It had been a long night but he was there ready to talk about next week.
Jeff Hardy: You all saw me go out there and do what I said I would. I defeated Bad News Barrett in the middle of that ring to win yet another match. Barrett I made it very clear that I was out to continue my ways. I was here to win matches and make my way up to the EBWF World Championship. That is my current goal and there is no one who can stop me from getting it. I came back to EBWF with the help from Wes and now I am the Breakout Champion. This is just the first step for me. I am on my way back to the top and when I get there it is going to be a huge celebration. My wife Beth and daughter Ruby are very supportive of me and I can’t think of anything that would make them happier, then to see me back at the top of my game. They just want me happy and this is making me that way. I am a champion again and soon that World title will be mine.
Jeff smiled again as he adjusted the championship on his shoulder. He looked down for a minute and then looked back up at the camera. He took a deep breath as he began to speak again.
Jeff Hardy: This next week I was informed that I will be taking on the returning Undertaker. I know the Deadman pretty well as we have traded a few victories between the two of us. This time though I am going to walk away with a win. Deadman I have all the respect in the world for you Back in the day you were one of the only people to ever believe in me and it has helped me get to where I am today. So I thank you for that. My respect for you though does not mean I will not go out there and do everything in my power to beat you. Undertaker you have done a lot in this business and you have put in the work that has a lowed a lot of us to continue to do what we do. I think though it is time for you to hang up the boots and let us continue where you left off. So Taker I want you to remember that I am ready to take over what you have started and I will prove it in the middle of that ring next week on Warfare.
Jeff smiled still holding onto his championship. Looking from the camera to the belt and then back again the smile grew a little more. His expression changed quickly as a more serious look was seen as he looked into the camera.
Jeff Hardy: I am here to make it back to the top and it is time that everyone knows it. I have been working to get to the top and it has gotten me this Breakout Championship. Undertaker you are a legend in this business but when you step into that ring with me you are just another man standing in my way. I have taken out Tyler Breeze and Bad News Barrett. I have no problem adding you to the list and making it clear what my intentions are. The Miz is the World Champion and soon he will have a match with me. I will beat him in the middle of that ring and take the title but for now Deadman it’s you and me. This match isn’t for any championships it is simply for respect. We both respect each other and next week we go one on one where I prove to everyone that I am the new man around here and that I am the next World Champion. I will see you out there Deadman and good luck because I am coming into this with nothing to lose! I do not plan on ending this streak yet so bring everything you got because I will!
Jeff smirked a little and turned to walk away. He quickly grabbed a water bottle as he headed down the hall. The camera followed him for a little bit before he walked into his locker room and closed the door before the scene faded away.
