The Real Survivor

Kyle O'Reilly was proving himself to be a new star in EBWF, having recently won the Breakout Championship. It was the beginning to a long and prosperous career in EBWF, having overcome multiple former World Champions to capture the championship. He would have to prove tonight at Survivor Series that his victory was no fluke by defeating the former champion Jeff Hardy who would be eager to recapture the title.
Kyle was standing by with Renee Young waiting to be interviewed before his match. He was in his ring gear with his championship draped across his shoulder.
Renee Young: With me at this time is Kyle O'Reilly who is set to take on Jeff Hardy for the Breakout Championship. So Kyle, how does it feel to be a champion in EBWF after only a few matches and how do you think you'll stack up against the former champ, Jeff Hardy?
Kyle O'Reilly: It's great being a champion and by being the Breakout Champion everyone in EBWF knows that I am the real deal. I won this title by defeating Jeff Hardy and I've said from the beginning that the Vertex is going to dominate in EBWF and that's just what we've done. I've won the Breakout Championship and The Miz is the World Championship. I've been able to prove my worth to the group.
Renee Young: Jeff Hardy is a former World Champion and the former Breakout Champion. Even though you defeated him in a fatal four way match, would you consider yourself the underdog going into this one on one match with him?
Kyle O'Reilly: Absolutely not. I'm the champion and he is the challenger. I'm the favourite. I've beaten him before and I can do it again. The Jeff Hardy that won the World title is long gone. It’s not going to be easy by any means, but I will be the one that will walk away as champ tonight.
Renee Young: Do you have any final words for Jeff before your match tonight?
The camera focused in on Kyle and he stared directly into the camera. He had a determined look on his face.
Kyle O'Reilly: What does it mean to be a survivor? You have to have heart, determination, mental fortitude and will to go on in the face of adversity. Throughout all of Jeff's career, a survivor would be an appropriate description of him. He's risked life and limb and destroyed himself to please fans around the world for the past 15 years and he's still around. But for all of that it's taken its toll, he's slowly but surely become a broken down man. When you look at the Jeff Hardy of old you see a crazy, carefree and high flying lunatic who threw caution to the wind and completed the most insane things ever seen in a ring. I think when you look at both of us we're completely different. Yin and Yang. Jeff wants to remain the carefree risk-taker that he has been known for whereas I'm more methodical, tactically minded. Any small mistake I can capitalise on. I can break his ankle, choke him out, and drop him on his head. I've watched what he can do over the years, and we all saw that I beat him convincingly to take this championship. Tonight will be no different. I'm walking into Survivor Series as the Breakout Champion and walking out of Survivor Series still Champion. I'll be the one who survives. I'm going to be the one that exposes you as a shell of your former self. I'm the future and you're the past. Deal with it.
Kyle stormed off from the interview set. He was ready to prove that he was the next big thing in this business and that he deserved to hold the Breakout Championship.
