Warfare

Post by Kyle »

The crowds had begun to pour into the Frank Erwin Center when Heroes by Shinedown began to play and Ted DiBiase entered onto the stage followed by Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and the Breakout Champion Kyle O'Reilly. The crowd began to boo them as they walked to the ring. They all wore suits and looked sharp, with O'Reilly holding his championship over his shoulder. Ted took the microphone from Lilian Garcia who was at ringside and the four got into the ring.

Ted Jr: Standing before you is the greatest group in the history of EBWF. Show some damn respect!

The crowd's boos intensified as Ted insulted them.

Ted Jr: A lot of you might be wondering why The Miz isn't with us, and that's because last Sunday he defeated AJ Styles and retained the World Championship. He earned his time off and to be honest, the thought of entering this arena and seeing all of you sickened him.

This just annoyed the crowd even more, who all seemed to direct their hate towards the Vertex leader.

Ted Jr: Tonight I'm in the main event, a place where I belong. Chris Jericho is the person I'm facing tonight and I can tell you that we're going to hear him talk about how I'm boring or never achieved anything and listening to me speak is worse than watching paint dry. I've heard it all before but you know what Chris? I don't give a crap. Let me tell you how this pans out tonight. I'm going to walk down to the ring with Finn, Kevin and Kyle, you're then going to come out, act cocky and then I'm going to kick your ass. I'm going pin you in the centre of this ring and then these guys behind me are going to tear you limb from limb. They're going to take you out and you'll see just how powerful we really are.

Ted walked up towards Kyle O'Reilly.

Ted Jr: Kyle O'Reilly is YOUR Breakout Champion. Who did he beat, not once but twice? Jeff Hardy. Former World Champion, Path to Glory Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and Tag Team Champion. That's no fluke. That shows that these young men are hungry, they want to succeed and with The Miz and I here to guide them they'll become unstoppable.

Ted moved to Finn Balor and Kevin Owens.

Ted Jr: These two are unstoppable machines. Kevin Owens can break any man in half and has a mean streak unlike any other person in this company. And let’s not forget about Finn Balor. He's been all over the world beating the best that each company has to offer. He's smart, calculated and knows when to take risks. With these three men, along with the current World Heavyweight Champion and me, the longest reigning and greatest Path to Glory Champion in history, the sky is the limit for us. But tonight, Chris you've drawn the short straw and once I beat you tonight I think I might just want your Intercontinental Championship. Be warned, when the Vertex wants something, we take it.
