Mean Girls MIA?

Post by Kamden »

Various sources have noted the absence of the infamous Mean Girls on EBWF programming. The successful trio managed to hold both the Women’s title and Tag team titles, dominating the EBWF Diva’s division. Sasha, Eva and Summer managed to appear almost weekly on TV, becoming so popular they were even asked to host this year’s Dinner With the Divas event.

So why the sudden on screen disappearance? No one seemed to have an answer for us.

After Eva Marie and Summer Rae lost the Diva’s tag titles to Emma and Becky Lynch back in September at the Destiny pay-per-view, and Sasha Banks lost the Women’s championship at Fanniversary to Trish Stratus in November, their presence has noticeably dwindled. Well, with their return, it seems the dust has settled and rumors have been put to rest.

In a segment on the latest episode of Warfare, the Mean Girls plus new addition Kharma were seen backstage discussing the reason for their absence: Fashion Police.

Banks and Summer Rae recently tweeted the announcement of their new syndicated web-series, backed by E!’s own Melissa Rivers. Melissa is the daughter of the late Joan Rivers, the former host of Fashion Police on E! Network. Melissa is also a producer for E!’s TV version of Fashion Police.

When reached out to for comment, Summer Rae had this to say about what is bound to be a huge opportunity for the team:

“This new web-series is going to slay! We’ll be snatchin’ weaves left and right so watch out!”

Little has been revealed about who the first target will be once the series makes its debut (the date of this is also unknown at this time) but Banks said it would “definitely be a doozy.”

Eva Marie also commented, stating “No one’s safe, so watch your backs, bitches.” (Her words, not mine).

So be on the lookout! Now that EBWF’s own “Fashion Police” will be branching outside of the company website, who knows what could happen?
