OOC: Sorry this is so short, I've not been feeling well. Good luck to everyone in your matches.
The scene opened backstage at Christmas Eve of Destruction. Chris Jericho was stood in his locker room, staring into the camera. He did not look happy.
Chris Jericho: Two weeks ago on Warfare, Vertex attacked me and Ted DiBiase stole my Intercontinental Title. I have been waiting for DiBiase to show his face, so I can give him the beating he deserves and take back what is rightfully mine, but he is nowhere to be seen. It seems like the son of the Million Dollar Man has gone into hiding; I approached the EBWF General Manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin, to challenge Ted to a match at Christmas Eve of Destruction, only to be told that he's on vacation?! What sort of superstar books a vacation that clashes with one of the biggest pay per views on the EBWF calendar? You'd think Ted knows by now that in EBWF, Christmas comes second, but I guess that's typical of the arrogance that runs through DiBiase and the rest of Vertex. Still, at least I'll get my hands on Kevin Owens, in the first ever TLC4 match.
At the thought of his match, Jericho grinned deviously.
Chris Jericho: The matches for Christmas Eve of Destruction get more extreme every year, and this year is no different. For Kevin Owens, tonight will be an explosion of catastrophe. You know, when I look at the Vertex, there's one man that doesn't seem to fit, and that's Owens. DiBiase has been Miz's lackey so many times that I've lost count, and despite their talent, Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly seem content to bask in the Miz's shadow, doing little more than nod their heads every time he cuts a promo. But you, Kevin – aren't you supposed to be a prizefighter? What prize are you fighting for? You've never been a sheep before, so I don't understand why you'd start now, when you've been given an opportunity in the biggest wrestling company around the world. I really hope that tonight, you remind the EBWF universe what you're capable of. I want to see the fight in you... because that will make it so much more satisfying when I beat you. Then when I'm done with you, I'll work my way through the rest of Vertex... including you, Miz.
Jericho smiled again, this time a more cocky, confident smirk, as the scene faded.
