Funk Off

Post by Ben M »

The scene opened with Chris Jericho walking backstage. As he turned the corner, he bumped into Michael Cole, who was holding a microphone.

Michael Cole: Hey Chris! Can I-

Chris Jericho (interrupting): -Sure. Make it quick.

Michael Cole: First off, for the past week everyone has been talking about what you did to Wes Ikeda last Monday. Could I get a comment from you on your actions?

Jericho gave Cole a look of loathing.

Chris Jericho: I wonder why you never made it as a broadcast journalist, Cole. What do you expect me to say? Actions speak louder than words, and last week my actions spoke volumes. I opened up the world to the real Wes Ikeda - I showed them his home, something which up until now had always been a place of privacy. I must admit, I didn't expect him to be there... but I think I handled myself pretty well. Don't you?

Cole didn't answer and simply asked another question.

Michael Cole: Tonight, you're taking on the Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay - someone who was unbeaten until his recent loss to Randy Orton in the King of the Ring tournament. Are you confident you can hand Brodus his second EBWF defeat?

Chris Jericho: Michael, Brodus Clay is nothing but a fatass with a lame dance gimmick. The only reason he was undefeated for so long was because he hadn't had any real competition - no offence, Lance. I am the best in the world at what I do and tonight, I won't just beat Brodus Clay. I'll humiliate him.

Michael Cole: One more question. Are you concerned about the repercussions of your attack on Wes Ikeda?

Jericho gave Cole that look of hatred once more.

Chris Jericho: I'm untouchable, Cole. Physically, I've already shown that I'm tougher than Wes. As for the possibility of being suspended or fired, given how much I'm paid by this company and how much I'd be worth to a certain Mr. McMahon, to say I'm confident that my future in the EBWF is secure would be an understatement. If Wes wants to try and get "revenge" for what happened last week, I can guarantee that he'll regret it. Now get out of my way, I've got a Funkasaurus to eliminate.

Jericho pushed past Cole as the scene faded.
