| Carlito was seen getting out of a car from the passenger seat. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a plain white t-shirt. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses as the sun was still out, almost time for the sun to set. The person driving the car went and parked as Carlito waited outside the doors of the La Huerta Mexican Restaurant in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Carlito singed a couple of autographs for some older fans who had known him from his days from his earlier career. After a couple more minutes of waiting the person driving the car approached Carlito. |
-Carlito- Finally man! You ready to eat?
-MVP- Ready to eat? I am starving, son!
| Carlito opens the door and he and MVP enter the restaurant. |
-Receptionist- Welcome to La Huerta. Will there just be two of you this evening?
-Carlito- Yes, just to two of us. Is there any chance we could get a somewhat private table? We are in town for the professional wrestling company EBWF. It would be nice to eat without being interrupted every couple of minutes by annoying kids, or even worse, annoying adults that don’t understand wrestling.
-Receptionist- I knew it! You are Carlito! Sure I can get you a private table. Please follow me!
| Carlito and MVP followed the receptionist to a table that was in the back of the restaurant next to an exit door. The table we up on a platform and the railings were covered with black cloth so to create a feeling of privacy. |
-Receptionist- Will this work gentlemen?
-Carlito- Very much so. Thank you.
| The receptionist left the area with a smile on his face and a couple moments later a waiter come by and brought Carlito and MVP an order of chips and salsa. He asked them what they would like to drink and took their drink orders. As they waited for their drinks to return, MVP started a conversation. |
-MVP- So how are you enjoying EBWF. Something I should consider joining to finish my career?
-Carlito- I have to be honest man, I am really surprised with how I am being treated and the chances I am being given. I have been called before by a promoter asking me to come to their company, and they have promised me many different things. Usually those promises are followed for a few weeks but then once they think I am comfortable and am enjoying my time, those promises fade away and they forget that I am there for a reason. That has not happened to me here. I am being treated the same right now as I was on day one. I was promised an opportunity and as long as I live up to what I can do and show them that I am giving it my all, I feel that they will come through with those promises… I mean, after three matches I have an opportunity to become the number one contender for the Breakout Championship. If you want I can put in a word for you this Monday night, see if they want to bring you in for an opportunity?
-MVP- I’d appreciate that, Carlito, man.
| At that time the waiter came back with their drink orders. The waiter took their orders and left the area to put their order in. |
-MVP- I have to admit, I loved the way they put heat on you by beating Shinsuke Nakamura like you did.
-Carlito- That is the beauty of EBWF man, I went to creative and mentioned something like that happening and right away it happened. Even if it was against the greatest wrestler Japan has to offer. Now this week, I have the opportunity to become the number one contender to go one of one with Tyler Breeze at my chance to become the Breakout Champion. But I can’t get ahead of myself and start thinking about Breeze just yet. Monday I have to go one on one with the intimidating, master of six million moves himself, Matt Sydal.
-MVP- Master of six million moves?
-Carlito- Have you ever heard this kid talk to anyone? Let alone try to cut a promo. And I thought YOU were full of yourself and all of your accomplishments.
-MVP- Hey now! I have a lot to be proud of when it comes to accomplishments in this industry. However, I still feel like I have some left in me! | MVP pulled out his cell phone and typed something on it. | Now let’s see if we can find Sydal talking about himself and his many moves…
| A couple moments later you heard coming from MVP’s phone as he watched on in amazement…
-Matt Sydal- “I haven't shown what I can do yet but I promise you I will. For the past weeks you've seen tid bits of me, my highflying stuff but that's not only what I bring to the table, I've got an arsenal of: 50 standing attacks( 20 strikes), 9 ground attacks/opponent laying on back, 3 ground attacks to opponent lying face down, 11 pin variants”… |
-MVP- 11 pin variants? I didn’t know more than 4 of those existed… but wait, there is more!
| “20 submissions, 18 running strike attacks, 13 running grapples, 15 opponent rebound/running attacks, 4 attacks to opponent against the ring ropes, 19 turnbuckle attacks, 5 running attacks” |
-Carlito- See what I mean?
-MVP- BUT WAIT, THERE IS EVEN MORE!
| “42 aerial moves, 7 signature moves, 3 finishing moves, 2 desperation moves, 4 reversal attacks” |
-MVP- Oh thank God! It’s over.
| At that time, a kid showed up holding a piece of paper and a pen. He held the paper and pen up towards Carlito. |
-Kid- Mr. Carlito, can I get your autograph please? My dad is your waiter, he said I could come up here.
-Carlito- Sure kid, your dad is a pretty good dude. Bringing us chips and drinks and all. I like him. Give me that paper!
| Carlito signed the piece of paper and then handed it over to MVP who also signed it and then gave it back to the kid. |
-Kid- Mr. Carlito, why did you cheat to beat Nakamura?
-Carlito- Cheat? I beat that chump fair and square. He isn’t cool enough to hang with Carlito! | Carlito paused. | How dare you accuse Carlito of cheating!
| Carlito grabbed the paper he and MVP had autographed out of the kids hands and ripped it up in many different pieces. The kid began to cry and ran off towards the kitchen. |
-Carlito- That kid is lucky that I don’t have an apple with me right now. Unfortunately, Sydal won’t be that lucky come Monday night. I respect Matt Sydal, he has accomplished a lot in the independent circuit when it comes to wrestling. But sad enough for him, he is one of those guys. You know, one of those guys that bats .300 and hits 20 homeruns in the minor leagues of baseball, but then when he finally gets called up he fails because the competition is so much better than he is used to face. After I am done with him Monday, he will wish he had stayed in Missouri and been happy being a farmer. I won’t need six million moves to beat him this Monday night. I will just need the one. And once I am done hitting him with the backstabber, he will realize who he is messing with. Carlito Caribbean Cool. AKA TRIPLE C!
-MVP- Carlito, you can’t just take and rip that kids autograph like that!
-Carlito- I can do whatever I want, I am Carlito! The soon to be number one contender for the Breakout Championship!
| At that time the waiter brought them their food and the camera faded to blackness. |
