OOC: I wanted to do so much more with this one as per usual. Real life be damned, I can't wait to go to WrestleMania! :)

“It’s good to be a veteran.” Or so Syxx thought as he was sitting in his luxury suite in The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dallas. His intercontinental championship was laid on his television stand as he sat there in awe of the fact that WrestleMania 15 was just around the corner. He remembered WrestleMania 1 like it was yesterday. Sure, he had bounced around from company to company, but for the better part of the past 15 years the EBWF has always felt like home to Syxx. Even a man with an overall sour disposition like Syxx can get sucked into the aura that this time of years brings, and Syxx has become less and less immune to it with age. He couldn’t help but reflect on all of his “WrestleMania moments”. Him and John Cena’s victory over Rated RKO last year, the rise and fall of the nWo, and that is only the tip of the iceberg…

“Dad?”

Noticeably shaking his head as if waking up from a dream, Syxx came back to his senses.

Syxx: Sorry, just reminiscing a little.

Joining Syxx in his room was his 24 year old son Jesse and his good family friend Joe Hennig (currently known to the WWE Universe as Curtis Axel of the Social Outcasts).

Curtis Axel: It’s a pretty sweet place you have here. Thanks for inviting me along.

Syxx: They said bring your families. Your father was like a brother to me so for all intents and purposes you are my family.

Curtis Axel: Thank you, uncle Sean.

Syxx: We all miss him very much every day. Some days I look to the sky and wonder why it was him they took and not me. I know we all have our demons but when you think of everything I’ve been through and how much of an inspiration Curt was to me...it’s just…

Curtis Axel: My father would be very proud of everything you are doing. You are carrying the torch for all of us.

Syxx: But would he be proud of what you’re doing? You’re Mr. Perfect’s son. You’re no damn Social Outcast.

Curtis Axel: I’m not sure what I’m supposed to say to that. I do the best with what they give you.

Syxx: Fuck what they give you! Michael McGillicutty? Are you kidding me!? Then they finally give you a respectable name and a decent push and then *POOF*! You’re an outcast. It’s like 3MB rebooted. Are you getting any heat from the E for being over here now?

Curtis Axel: Probably, but what does it matter? My contract is up in a few months.

Syxx: Very interesting.

Just then there was a knock on the door. Jesse took a look through the peephole and then hastily opened the door, opening his arms to embrace one of the men on the other side.

Jesse Waltman: Uncle Scott!

It was Scott Hall and his 24 year old son Cody. Scott Hall is no small mall but his son towered over him at 6’8”. Cody looked like the prototype of what a professional wrestler should be with his muscular frame and chiseled features under his shaved head. Cody had been making a name for himself as a member of the popular New Japan Pro Wrestling stable called the Bullet Club as their “young boy”.

Jesse Waltman: Hey Cody, how are you?

Cody Hall: I’m good man, never better. Yourself?

Jesse Waltman: I’m doing well, it is so great to be here with all of you.

Scott Hall looked over at Syxx.

Scott Hall: Hey there kid.

Syxx: I think you’re going to have to be more specific. We’re in a room full of kids.

Scott Hall: True enough, but you’ll always be THE kid.

Curtis Axel: Shit, I’m hardly a kid. I’m 36 years old.

Scott Hall: So that means if you’re anything like me you’ve got another 20 years in the business.

They all laugh.

Scott Hall: Is Kaitlyn in town?

Syxx: Yeah, she went off wandering around town. I think she hopes she is going to run into Joanie.

Scott Hall: Those two always were two peas in a pod. What about Alicia, is she staying with you?

Syxx: Hell no. I mean, she’s in the hotel, but she’s not staying with me. That is strictly a business arrangement.

Scott Hall: Business? What exactly does she bring to the table?

Syxx: Alright, well it’s more like me doing her a favor. In exchange I get a hot chick to accompany me to the ring and make me look cool.

Scott Hall: I’m just breaking balls. I love that “House Syxx” shit. Not the greatest stable you’ve ever been in but it will do. What is it with you guys and stables anyway? Do they figure every nWo kid needs to be surrounded by people?

Curtis Axel: You want to know something crazy? WWE sweats the Bullet Club like you wouldn’t believe. I heard we went so far as to try to buy the trademark from NJPW. Do you know anything about that Cody?

Cody Hall: Yeah, they’ve been poaching us like crazy. They shouldn’t fear the Bullet Club anyway. It’s inevitable that we’re going to split. If it was up to The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega there would be no Bullet Club.

Scott Hall: Don’t you just hate when some people’s ego gets too big for the britches? I see that t-shirt they had made up. It’s our logo with “The Elite” written in it. I love that the Bullet Club is keeping the spirit alive for us but I just have this feeling like they are the wrong group of guys to be doing it. Except for you, Cody. You were born into it.

Cody Hall: It’s true. I was a black and white baby. Me, Joe, Jesse, even to a lesser degree guys like Cody Rhodes, Bray Wyatt, and Bo Dallas.

Syxx: What about Goldust?

Scott Hall: Ha. He was too old. He looked good in the colors when he dressed up as us in WWF though.

Syxx: It’s so good to have you all here. Too bad it’s only once a year. Cody and Joe I’m sorry you work for sorry ass companies and can’t be competing at the REAL WrestleMania.

Curtis Axel: Real WrestleMania? I’m pretty sure you guys stole that idea from us. Besides that we’re running Mania the week after in the exact same venue.

Syxx: I never totally understood that one. I think Wes just wants the people to blow their wad on our Mania so by the time yours comes around they don’t give a shit.

Scott Hall: Wes? I remember that guy. He was something.

Syxx: He never particularly liked us 10 years ago. We were pretty abrasive, like we actually believed in what we were doing.

Scott Hall: Didn’t we?

Syxx: We believed our own hype.

Curtis Axel: Don’t you mean BO-LIEVED!?

Scott Hall: What do you mean believed like it’s past tense? What ever happened to for life?

Syxx: For life is exactly what it says it is, for life. You and Kev are just too old to be milking that idea any more.

Scott Hall: Ouch. But you’re right, me and Kev are old. You’re old. Not everyone is old, though.

Cody Hall: I can’t wait to see you lock up with Shinsuke Nakamura uncle Sean. He was one of my favorite acts in Japan.

Syxx: He is definitely talented. I don’t know if he’s going to stay on the ground and grind with Foley and Owens or if he’s going to be up there doing stupid shit like me, Dolph, and possibly Shane.

Jesse Waltman: I’m surprised you can walk with all the bumps you have been taking lately. I get worried sometimes.

Syxx: Don’t worry about me, son. I feel better than I ever have. I mean that. I don’t even smoke weed half as much as I used to because it makes me feel lazy and if I get too lazy I might get out of shape.

Cody Hall: So what I’m hearing is that you feel you have got a lot more in the tank?

Syxx: Damn right I do. Retirement is a distant thought at this point. As long as I can stay doing what I’m doing at the level that I’m doing it, I am going to keep going until these wheels fall off.

Curtis Axel: I think we have a lot to talk about.

Syxx: What do you mean?

Curtis Axel: You say you want that world title right?

Syxx: More than anything in the world.

Cody Hall: We know exactly how you are going to get it.

Syxx: We?

Scott Hall: We.

The scene fades.

March 27, 2016 - The excitement in the air was palpable. Over 100,000 people were slated to fill up AT&T Stadium and nearly 70,000 were already seated with another 10,000 or so circulating in the concourses. Every EBWF event has a certain energy to it but the feeling this time of year brings simply can not be put into words no matter how one may try. Preview vignettes had been playing for well over an hour with the pre-show set to begin in about a half hour when suddenly the lights dimmed and began to flash green. “F.E.” by 40 Below Summer hit as the crowd erupted in anticipation of their Intercontinental champion. Syxx and Symphony made their way out from behind the curtain wearing matching House Syxx shirts along with their signature black and green with shiny gold trim. Syxx was dressed to compete as he began to strut down the aisle with his arm around Symphony, more friendly than suggestive. He released his valet and held both arms in the air while doing the nWo “too sweet” hand gesture. Pyro blasted from the bottom of the ramp to damn near the roof of the stadium. It was official, all the stops have been pulled out for this monumental day. Syxx slapped hands with a few fans and gave a few other the too sweet handshake before he got to the ring apron, taunting and then holding the rope for Symphony. As he got into the ring he taunted the camera side while bouncing on the bottom rope while still holding up the too sweet before ring announcer Christy Hemme handed Symphony the microphone.

Symphony: WrestleMania, it is the only platform that feels worthy of our lord. Many of epic battles have been waged and many of warriors have fallen on such a stage as this. My lord is no stranger to this occasion. He was there for WrestleMania 1, and if you are all so fortunate he may be here for WrestleMania 21. Seasons may come and go, champions will rise and fall, but the one constant is my lord’s power and dominion over everything that stands in his way. It is now my honor and pleasure to introduce to you Lord Syxx of House Syxx, first of his name. Lord and protector of the ring and the seven continents. Champion of those seven continents, and the best damn professional wrestler you all have ever seen in your life!

Symphony’s proclamation was met with a mixed reaction, although the majority of the fans cheered as she passed the mic to Syxx.

Syxx: They told me I would be defending my Intercontinental championship in a ladder match. My title is to be suspended twenty feet high in the air as me and five other men sacrifice our bodies for a chance to call ourselves Intercontinental champion when the night is over. Sacrifice. I know all about sacrifice. I sacrificed any chance I had to have a relationship with my father for the sake of the woman who raised me. It was the right decision. I sacrificed so much time with my two children during their formative years to help a revolution and be a degenerate. I still regret so much of that to this day. I sacrificed my marriage for much of the same reasons. No comment. I sacrificed my own fame and fortune for the fame and fortune of my best friends. Remember The Kliq? I’ve sacrificed portions of my health for a little happiness, only to sacrifice my happiness for my health. It feels like I have sacrificed anything and everything but here we are today here at WrestleMania 15 and I am ready, willing, and able to sacrifice much and more to bring back home a championship that I have already held twice. I don’t know what it is. An ambition? A desire? A sickness? An obsession? Perhaps all of the above, but I am going to keep sacrificing my body and my health until I finally claim my spot at the top of the EBWF mountain. There are six of us competing tonight, but there is only one Syxx. The other five? Their ass is grass, and I’M GONNA SMOKE IT!

Syxx dropped the mic as the scene fades.

I liked the sense of history and the idea that Syxx has this sort of extended family now with the children of all his old running buddies. Best of luck!
