Ruining A Debut

Curt Hawkins' appearance and demeanor had slowly changed ever since his association with Kane. He had become grimy and unclean. His hair looked filthy and his face was scruffy and un-shaved. The worst part of his personalities had been amplified and he had become a very bitter and jealous individual. He could currently be found pacing in a long, dark hallway. His was dressed in his ring attire, complete with the hooded leather vest he wore to the ring. The steel cane he carried repeatedly tapped lightly against his palm as he continued to walk back and forth. The cane had almost become like another appendage for him as he was never seen without it.
Curt Hawkins: "Ya know it's funny. When I got my big break in wrestling it was by becoming an Edge impersonator with.."
He paused to give a scowl.
Curt Hawkins: "..Zack Ryder. Because Edge is everything a young wrestler should want to be. Controversial and talented. Bold and arrogant. Women love him. Men want to be him. He was truly someone who cemented his legacy."
The tapping of his cane grew a little louder.
Curt Hawkins: "Christian on the other hand always just seemed like he wasn't good enough. Like he was always just a step behind Edge. Like he couldn't measure up."
Hawkins rubbed a palm along the back of his head to mess up some of his long, dark blonde locks.
Curt Hawkins: "I'm not alone in thinking that, am I? I wanted to be Edge but I didn't want to be Christian. Nobody wanted to be Christian. And he's all over the dirt sheets like anyone really cares who he is. Does anyone care who he is? Anyone? I know I don't."
Hawkins was not speaking to himself. The imposing sight of Kane stood in the middle of the hallway with his hands folded behind his back. In an unusual twist, he was dressed in a black suit with a red tie. His haunting mask was still present, however.
Kane: "He doubted what I've done for you, Curt. How does that make you feel?"
Kane glanced to his minion from the corner of his eye.
Curt Hawkins: "I get it now, man. I used to look at this like a burden. But it's not a burden. It's a gift. You took all those parts of me that might have cared if I hurt someone like Christian. Now I could care less if they care him out on a stretcher."
Curt's expression began to darken and his pacing started to pick up.
Curt Hawkins: "Here he comes into this federation and he's trying to steal all the spotlight I've earned. Like I'm supposed to roll over and let him get his big moment because he's a vet. No. It's not happening like that. He's going to wish he would have stayed wherever he was. Where it was nice and safe and guys like me weren't around."
His fingers smoothed along the surface of the cane before gripping it tighter.
Curt Hawkins: "And maybe then all his little 'peeps' will find someone worth cheering for. Someone like me. Someone like Curt Hawkins."
Kane's twisted face became covered with a smirk.
Kane: "Keep up that aggression. And I don't care whether or not you win or lose. Just as long you hurt him. Hurt him so everyone knows just who they're dealing with. And if you lose control..well..I doubt Tyler will mind offering a hand.."
The dreadlocked figure of Tyler Reks could seen propped against a corner at the end of the hallway. His expression was cold until he grinned a bit upon hearing his name and quickly licked his lips.
Curt Hawkins: "I'm going to turn Captain Charisma's debut into a complete slaughter."
Hawkins allowed his cane to rest along his shoulder blades as Reks followed along after him. Kane only continued to grin silently. Hawkins and Reks were once hesitant to carry out his orders but now they seemed like eager soldiers..
