The Wrestling Business will never die!
The Wrestling Business will never die!
Matt Sydal stands in the center of the ring. He speaks very passionately but calmly.
Reborn:
Pro Wrestling began in the year 1830 in France. Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling became nationally popular in
1933 but started in 1863. Professional wrestling in Australia first gained distinction in the early 20th century, however there were very few shows promoted. Nonetheless, there were stars such as Clarence Weber, Jack Carkeek, Clarence Whistler, and Georg Hackenschmidt. As time went on, the sport's popularity began to grow, particularly in the 1930s as people sought to find relief from the Great Depression. Throughout the 1940s professional wrestling suffered due to World War II but in the 1950s reached new highs as many stars from overseas were imported and created larger crowds and, in turn, a larger market. Established names such as Lou Thesz, Dr. Jerry Graham and Gorgeous George toured the country during the decade. Japanese wrestling began in 1972.
170 years into the business being around, I debuted at 17 years old and now i'm 16 years pro and 33 years old.
182 years into pro wrestling being around my opponent Will Ospreay debut at 19 years old and now he's 23.
Ever since the biz began, people have felt the business has either evolved in a progressive or regressive manner but one thing will never change, pro wrestling will never die.
Ospreay is an amazing worker, the next big thing but right now he's still a rookie and he's humbly aware of that. Ospreay is turning heads just like RVD, Sabu, Rey Mysterio, Steamboat and newer veterans such as myself, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins continue to do.
We will go full throttle and I guarantee this is the match of the night.
