My Legacy

The scene opened with flashbacks of Seth Rollins’ debut. Clips of the match between himself and Matt Sydal played on a home cinema screen, where Seth Rollins sat by himself. A few soundbites could be heard from the commentators.
Corey Graves: Look at those big kicks from Rollins!
Joey Styles: I thought Rollins had it there.
Joey Styles: What a move from Rollins!
Rollins smirk was shown once again, as the light from the screen reflected on his thick glasses. He liked these moments, when he’d just sit down and study his own work, as well as his opponents’ work. He stopped the showing after the pinfall over Matt Sydal.
The scene then cut to action shots of Seth Rollins working out, and training in the ring, as his voice was heard, narrating over the video.
“After I left my previous job, I made it my mission to never portray something I’m not. I’ve never been a coward, and never needed to hide behind anyone or anything. I’ve always faced my fears and conquered them, made them fear me.”
Now, intertwining with footage of Seth working out, we were shown footage of Seth wrestling from when he first started, chronologically moving up to EBWF, with a few years gap in between.
“I don’t wrestle for the money or fame, I’ve earned both those things and wished for neither. I wrestle for myself, to be the best that I can be, and to be better than anyone else. I know how good I am, and I know tomorrow I’ll be better. I know that every day I have to redesign myself.”
The word “Redesign” appears in white letters over a black background. The footage turns into shots of Seth’s opponents for the event, AJ Styles, Cesaro and Alex Shelley.
“This Sunday, on pay-per-view, I take on three men with whom I am very familiar. It’s my biggest fight to date in EBWF. It’s my chance to start what I’ve been talking about all this time, It’s my chance to rebuild my legacy.”
The word “Rebuild” appears on screen, followed by more footage of AJ Styles.
“I’ve known you for ages, AJ. You were one of my first opponents in this business. Your style knows no match, but neither does mine. See, while you’re off with your clubs, I’m working my ass off, like I have for the last eleven years. Yet, you’re the one the world can’t get enough of, you’re the “what if” everyone wonders about. You know why I’m not the “what if”? Because there is no room for doubt or questioning about me.
The word “Rebuild” appeared once again on screen, this time followed by Cesaro.
“Cesaro. The Swiss Superman, is what they called you, right? A few years ago, when I first met you, they called you a king, now you’re a superman? I don’t have a whole lot to say about you Cesaro, other than, you’re probably the hardest working man to never be champion, and as long as I have a vote in it, you will remain like that.”
For the third time, “Rebuild” appeared on screen, followed by shots of Alex Shelley.
“The third man in my way. Alex Shelley, I remember you from years ago. You, like everyone else in this match, are a man of honor. All four of us followed a code, but it seems that over time, we’ve all smartened up to it. We’ve all realized that there’s no such thing as honor on the battlefield. I can’t wait to show you and everyone else how quickly honor goes out the window when I get the opportunity. I will take each and every one of you down, knock you out, and rebuild my legacy over your fallen bodies, and then I can…”
“Reclaim” appeared on screen, and transitioned into “The Man”, “The Architect” Seth Rollins looking straight at the camera, with his glasses off. He was back in the home cinema, sitting alone in the front row, the only light in the room was shining over his head, illuminating only himself.
“Reclaim what is rightfully mine. Reclaim what I’ve earned, what I deserve. This Sunday at EBWF King of the Ring, I will take on three well-rounded wrestlers who have earned their place in the EBWF. Sadly, for them, their place is below mine, I have redesigned myself beyond recognition, I will rebuild my legacy over my foes, and I will reclaim what I rightfully deserve.”
With that, the scene cuts to black, with the words “Redesign, Rebuild, Reclaim” appearing in white over a faded out grey Seth Rollins logo.
