Redemption.

[Dips]

The scene was set in the Target Center as the Sacrifice pay per view was already underway, the fans were still buzzing about the previous match they had witnessed, the fans were now in their seats anxiously anticipating the next match, the arena fills with loud cheers as “Born to Win” by Mutiny Within plays over the P.A. system, a few moments later Evan Bourne makes his way down to the ring. With an ear to ear grin on his face, he raises his right arm in the air sticking up his index and middle finger with the “peace” sign as the fans continue to cheer. He then races down the entrance ramp, slapping fives with various members of front row audience, before he slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Doing his signature taunt again as he climbs the ropes, holding the pose for a few moments before stepping back down onto the canvas. He proceeds to pick up the microphone that was on the mat, walking over to the center of the ring, before raising it up to his mouth to speak.

I stand here before you all a little disappointed, as I was aiming to have the Breakout Title around my waist, however it was all for naught as Bully Ray interfered in the match and cost me the title. It was my chance to prove that I could win a singles title and stand on my own two feet, but Bully Ray ruined that all for me and now I’ve been seemingly taken out of title contention completely.

The crowd proceeds to boo at the thought of Evan possibly never getting another chance to get a rematch for the Breakout title that he thought he deserved, he expresses a weak smile on his face as he looks out at the crowd.

But it’s not all bad news, as tonight I get to go one on one with a man that I have great respect for, and that of course is Christian. Someone who I had a pleasure to work with back during my last few months on ECW when he made his return, Christian is one of those guys who works his tail off night in and night out, putting on the greatest performance he can for the fans and sending everyone home happy, much like myself. Without you fans, most of the superstars and divas in the back wouldn’t be where they are today.

Evan nods his head agreeing with himself as the fans begin to cheer. He proceeds to switch hands as to which he was holding the microphone with while concluding his speech.

I know Christian isn’t going to be a pushover and he’s going to give it his all, and I can’t afford to take him lightly. I know when he sees me, he’s thinking about beating me and getting in contention for the Breakout championship, but I’m going to be next in line for that title and I’m not going to let anyone else get near that title after the title match between Bully Ray and Trent Baretta.

With that being said, he hands over the microphone over to a ringside official as he performs a few stretches and awaits the arrival of his opponent for the night.
