Carmella celebrated, then made her way to the back.

MATCH TWO

Joey Styles: Up next, the first of four matches featuring EBWF's newest alliance, The Broken. The Breakout Champion Jimmy Havoc defends his title against "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson!

Corey Graves: The Broken have said they're carrying Summerslam, Joey, so they need a victory in this match to build some momentum!

"The Broken" by Lit hit and the crowd booed as Jimmy Havoc stepped out onto the stage, debuting his stable's new theme. Havoc had the Breakout Title over his shoulder, and looked confident as he made his way down the ramp. Once Havoc was in the ring, Karl Anderson came out to more boos.

Joey Styles: Neither Havoc nor Anderson is popular here in Kentucky, Corey!

Corey Graves: These fans should have more respect for two very talented superstars!

When Anderson was in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Both superstars charged towards one another and began exchanging right hands back and forth. Just when it looked like Anderson had gained the upper hand, Havoc hit a headbutt, causing Anderson to stagger backwards. Havoc took advantage, taking Anderson down with a discus elbow smash before stomping on him several times. Havoc leaned over Anderson and punched him against the mat repeatedly, before pulling him to his feet and dragging him towards the corner, slamming his head against the turnbuckle.

Joey Styles: An aggressive start by Jimmy Havoc!

Havoc hit Anderson with a series of punches in the corner, before hitting a knee to the gut. He pulled Anderson out of the corner and took him down with a double arm DDT, then hooked the leg. Miz then followed this up by hitting a kneeling DDT on Corbin. Miz taunted the crowd as he appreciated what he had just done.

Corey Graves: What a guy Miz is! He knows he’s in control right now!

Joey Styles: That may be so Corey, but you can never turn your back on Corbin or Syxx!

Late into the match Syxx was in control. He had Miz in the corner and hoisted him up onto the top rope, he looked to hit Miz with a superplex until Baron Corbin ran into the ring and grabbed Syxx in the powerbomb position and created a huge Tower of Doom! Jimmy Havoc: What’s up lads?

Joey Styles: Mr. Havoc! Pleasure to have you join us, why are you still out here?

Jimmy Havoc: It’s simple Joseph, I was in the Breakout Championship match, then I was at ringside for Corbin’s match, I’m with you fucks for Seth’s match and then I will stand by Seth’s side when we claim the Tag Team Championships. I wanted to out here for my brothers in arms, it’s that easy Joseph.

Joey Styles: Well, that’s very honorable, Jim! Let’s go to ringside for this Intercontinental Championship match!

Jimmy Havoc: He’s a good lad is Seth, expect an easy victory here.

Joey Styles: Enzo is no push over Jim, surely you know that.

The crowd followed along with every one of Enzo’s words as he walked down the ramp. He got the ring and raised the microphone.

Enzo: How ya doin?

Enzo was about to speak more when he was attacked suddenly behind by Rollins. The referee separated the two and asked Enzo if he could continue, which he agreed to and the bell was rung. Seth ran at Enzo again and was caught by Enzo with a drop toe hold into the second turnbuckle. He began dancing and moonwalking around the ring to which the crowd popped for.

Jimmy Havoc: You wouldn’t catch Rollins dancing like this, I’ll tell you that.

Corey Graves: Well, Rollins probably can’t dance right now.

Jimmy Havoc: Shut up Corey.

Seth began to wobble a bit when Enzo dropped Seth with a huge right hook. Enzo played to the crowd again by shouting “How You Doin”. He picked Seth up and dragged him over the corner and hit him with a Tornado DDT!

Joey Styles: Seth’s in trouble now Jimmy!

Jimmy Havoc: Don’t you dare count him out now, I believe in Seth.

As Seth’s head crashed hard into the mat, Enzo looked up at the top rope and nodded. He began to climb to the top and signalled for a splash! He jumps! Seth moves out the way! Enzo gets back to his knees as Seth hits a Avada Kedavra Superkick! Seth backs up into the corner and motions Enzo to get up furiously. Enzo starts to scramble to get up….CURBSTOMP! 1, 2, 3!

Jimmy Havoc: What did I bloody tell you boys huh? The Broken are victorious once more. Now if you’ll excuse me, I believe I’m up next.

Corey Graves: You were right Jim. Good luck out there!

Jimmy Havoc made his way into the ring and brought the IC Title with him and wrapped it around the waist of Seth Rollins and raised his partners arm in victory. The two men hug as it cuts to commercial.

MATCH FIVE

Corey Graves: What a night this has been for The Broken so far, Joey. Jimmy Havoc has retained the Breakout Title, Seth Rollins is the new Intercontinental Champion, and Baron Corbin is the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Title. Now Rollins and Havoc have the chance to become double champions as they challenge the Dudley Boyz for the Tag Team Titles!

Joey Styles: Rollins and Havoc have been on a roll, Corey, but they're going up against a team that have over 20 years' experience... they've been Tag Team Champions all around the world!

"Bombshell" by Powerman 5000 hit and the crowd couldn't help but cheer at the side of Bully Ray and his "half-brother" D-Von Dudley. Bully Ray and D-Von walked down the ramp with intent, and upon entering the ring they glared across at Rollins and Havoc. The referee called for the bell and D-Von and Rollins moved onto the ring apron, allowing Havoc and Bully Ray to start the match. Havoc charged towards Bully Ray and hit him with a series of punches, but Bully Ray fought back with some right hands of his own, then whipped him against the ropes. As Havoc ran back towards him, Bully Ray hit a Samoan drop, then as Havoc got to his feet, Bully Ray hit a bionic elbow. Bully Ray tagged in D-Von, then held Havoc's legs open. D-Von went to the top rope, and hit Havoc with a diving headbutt low blow! Bully Ray exited the ring, and D-Von made the cover. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Joey Styles: A strong start by the Dudley Boyz!

Corey Graves: I wouldn't count The Broken out just yet, Joey!

D-Von got to his feet and stomped on Havoc several times, then pulled him to his feet and went to whip him against the ropes. Havoc reversed the Irish whip, sending D-Von into the ropes, then as D-Von ran back towards him, Havoc took him down with a drop toe hold. Havoc hit a knee drop on D-Von, then tagged in Seth Rollins. Upon entering the ring, Rollins whipped D-Von into the corner, and as Havoc held D-Von in place, Rollins ran at him, hitting a corner forearm smash. Joey Styles: What a statement The Broken have made tonight!

MATCH SIX

As EBWF Summerslam returned from commercial break "Sky's the Limit" by CFO$ played over the P.A. System, prompting Sasha Banks to come out for her Women’s Championship match against Alexa Bliss. She got in the ring and waited for her opponent, lying down on the top turnbuckle.

Corey Graves: A tribute here, to the late, great Eddie Guerrero, who was The Boss’s idol growing up.

Joey Styles: Not only that, but also a display of confidence on behalf of the challenger here.

Corey Graves: Mind games are always fun, but Sasha shouldn’t underestimate Alexa. Alexa is a very dangerous opponent, and proved it when she defeated Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania for the EBWF Women’s Championship. I’m confident this will be a good match.

CRUSHED (instrumental) by Parkway Drive now was playing as the EBWF Women’s Champion made her way out to the ring. The formal introductions were made in the ring, and the referee called for the bell to ring, thus starting the match. Sasha and Alexa locked up, as Alexa shoved Sasha into the corner. When the referee counted all the way up to four, the two women broke the lock up, and Alexa Bliss backed off giving Sasha some space. They circled each other again, but this time, Sasha suddenly lunged forward, but was countered with an armdrag by Alexa who kept the pressure on the arm. Sasha, however, managed to turn it around and apply a hammerlock on Alexa. As Sasha seemed to be dominating this test of strength, Alexa managed to free herself from the hold, turn around, and pull Sasha into a vicious lariat. Alexa went for the pin, as the referee got down to count.

1…

Kickout! Sasha kicks out at one.

Corey Graves: That lariat had evil intentions behind it, it almost resembled a Rainmaker.

Joey Styles: It was certainly powerful but just one lariat won’t win a match.

The match continued on as Alexa Bliss continued the onslaught on Sasha, after hitting a suplex on Sasha, Alexa went to the top rope, clearly setting up for the “Sparkle Splash.” She hesitates for a while, which allowed Sasha to regroup and hit the top rope, causing Alexa to fall on the turnbuckle. As Bliss tried to regain her senses, by walking on the apron, she didn’t notice Sasha already fully recovered, and Sasha sent her throat first into the top rope, with enough momentum to send her crashing to the ringside area.

Corey Graves: Sasha is showing some life, Alexa didn’t even have time to find out what hit her!

Joey Styles: That slingshot is so dangerous on the neck and it looks like Sasha’s not done, she’s getting ready to fly…

As the announcers realized Sasha was gaining speed, she suddenly dove between the top and the middle rope, hitting Alexa with a picture perfect Suicide Dive.

Joey Styles: OH MY GOD!!

The referee starts counting to ten as both women seemed to be knocked out outside the ring. As the numbers were slowly counted, Alexa and Sasha even more slowly rose to their feet. They made it back in the ring at the count of 8, but appeared exhausted. They were slowly getting back up again, and as soon as they both reached a vertical base, they started trading strikes at each other, with Sasha gaining the upper hand. Sasha hit three snap suplexes in a row, and went for the pin, as the referee started counting.

1…

2…

NO! Alexa’s foot was on the rope, breaking the pinfall. Sasha was visibly angered by this and quickly got back up to her feet, and waited for Alexa to get back up. Bliss got back up using the turnbuckle as a crutch, and when Bliss was back on her feet, Sasha sprinted towards her, but was avoided as Bliss leaped over, and hit a Glitter Blizzard on Sasha. Instead of going for the pin, however, Alexa realized she was in the lead, and taunted the crowd as well as Sasha. She then set up for the Insult to Injury but as she was about to leap backwards for the moonsault, Sasha got up, having been playing possum and connected with the Backstabber, transitioning smoothly into the Bank Statement!

Corey Graves: What the hell? Sasha was knocked out cold!

Joey Styles: Bliss took a little too long to deliver her “Insult to Injury”! That may cost her the match!

Corey Graves: There has to be a rule against playing possum! Sasha stole the momentum from the moonsault!

Joey Styles: There’s no such thing partner! The Banks Statement is locked in, and in the middle of the ring, Alexa Bliss has nowhere to go!

Having built up too much pressure on the neck, Alexa Bliss tapped out!

Joey Styles: We have a new Women’s Champion!

Christy Hemme: Here’s your winner and the NEW EBWF WOMEN’S CHAMPION… SASHA BANKS!

As Sasha Banks celebrated her championship victory over Alexa Bliss, EBWF Summerslam cut to a commercial break.

MATCH SEVEN

“Go Back to Sleep!”

Joey Styles: Here comes the EBWF’s stalwart, Randy Orton.

Corey Graves: He is the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship, a title PJ Black has held since Christmas Eve of Destruction.

PJ Black came to the ring next, and the crowd was booing as he came onto the stage and held the championship above his head. Black headed down to the ring as Christy Hemme did her usually ring announcements and the referee presented the championship for contention.

Corey Graves: Let’s see if Randy Orton can crack the code here tonight.

The two men started off trading punches, with the crowd cheering each time Randy landed a punch, and booing when PJ retaliated. Black missed a slingshot plancha over the top and went crashing to the mat because Orton moved.

Joey Styles: There’s the ring awareness of Randy Orton.

Black sent Orton face first into the turnbuckle.

Corey Graves: No match for the ring post awareness of PJ Black!

Orton came back with a clothesline over the top to the floor. Orton slammed Black face first onto the announce table and then gave him a back suplex onto it. Orton took off all the monitors off the announce table. The referee was calling Randy off.

Corey Graves: Randy I need this table! Randy, what are you thinking?

Heeding the referee’s warning, they went back into the ring and Black regained control with an enziguiri kick to the head. Orton came back with a superplex. Black gave Orton a back body drop over the top rope. He hit a dive between the top/middle ropes to take out Orton. In the ring, Black went to the top rope and hit a flying knee to the side of the head for two.

Joey Styles: Look at the incredible athleticism of PJ Black.

Corey Graves: He’s one of the most underrated wrestlers in the game today!

Black hit a thunderous enziguiri, but Orton came back with a snap powerslam and then hit his rope hung DDT. The crowd cheered as Orton fired up. Orton went for the RKO, but PJ pushed him off. Orton turned around right into another enziguiri to the head. Orton buckled.

Joey Styles: Orton is out cold.

Black went to the top rope and hit the 450 splash. The crowd was booing as he took the pin. 1..2..3!

Corey Graves: It’s over! PJ Black has retained the Path to Glory Championship.

Black took his championship and left the ring, leaving a disappointed Randy Orton in the ring.

MATCH EIGHT

After a lengthy video package chronicling the history of Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn over the last year, the cameras opened up to a panning shot of the KFC Yum Center. The crowd got to their feet and cheered as "Worlds Apart" by CFO$ blasted out of the speakers. The upbeat song got the crowd singing along.

"LETS GO!"

Sami Zayn appeared from behind the curtain and taunted the crowd, amping himself up for the match. He sprinted down to the ring and slid in, leaping up to the second turnbuckle and getting the crowd to get loud.

Joey Styles: Sami Zayn is ready for this match. He is full of energy tonight!

Corey Graves: Last time we saw Sami, we saw some doubt and some uncertainty going up against Chris Jericho who does seem to have his number. It looks to me so far like that doubt has been erased, we'll see what happens in the match.

Sami's music faded down.

"Break the walls doooooown!"

Chris Jericho slowly came down to the ring, the EBWF World Championship around his waist. He had an arrogant demeanor about him, and the crowd booed him after his actions the week prior. Jericho seemed completely unaffected.

Corey Graves: Sami Zayn has got a difficult path ahead of him to success, he has to get through arguably the best wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots in the EBWF, Chris Jericho. You can talk about his age, and you can talk about how long he's been in the business, but you cannot deny that he's the undisputed MVP of 2016.

Jericho past the referee as he got in the ring and went to his corner, without taunting the crowd.

Joey Styles: You can just see the sense of entitlement that Chris Jericho has for his World Championship.

Corey Graves: Sense of entitlement?! Chris Jericho is a 9 time EBWF World Champion. He's the winningest wrestler in EBWF history, bar none. Let me tell you about sense of entitlement. He IS entitled. He DESERVES that championship. So don't give me that crap, Joey. Stick to calling the match you goon.

The referee took Jericho's title and held it in the air, then called for the bell. Jericho and Zayn circled as the crowd got behind Zayn with Ole chants. Jericho pushed Zayn towards the corner. The referee forced the two to break, and as Zayn put his hands up Jericho reached out and cracked him across the face with an open slap. Zayn charged forward and tackled Jericho to the ground and starting wailing on him with hard rights. Jericho covered up and managed to wriggle away, scrambling to the corner as fast as he could. Zayn pursued but the referee pushed him away since Jericho was in the corner. The crowd booed at the tactic. Jericho jumped out of the corner to surprise attack Zayn but Zayn clobbered him with a hard right.

Jericho staggered backwards and Zayn hit him with some more right hands, then whipped him against the ropes before taking him down with a hip toss. Jericho got to his feet and Zayn hit an uppercut, then lifted him up and hit a vertical suplex. Zayn got to his feet once more and ran towards Jericho, but the Champion was ready for him and countered with a dropkick.

Joey Styles: Veteran wherewithal from Chris Jericho here.

Jericho hooked the leg and the referee counted to two before Zayn kicked out! Jericho pulled Zayn to his feet and dragged him towards the corner, slamming Zayn's head against the top turnbuckle. Jericho then grabbed Zayn's arm and wrapped it around the rope, then kicked it as hard as he could. Zayn's arm snapped back and he gripped it, crying out in pain. He stumbled back, gripping his shoulder. All at once, Jericho zeroed in on it. He grabbed Zayn's arm and twisted it, yanking on his wrist as hard as he could. Zayn rolled forward and tried to kip up to maneuver out of the hold, but Jericho spun and hit a back kick that connected squarely with Zayn's shoulder, sending the challenger to the mat gripping his arm again. Jericho then kicked at Zayn's arm and took a few stomps as well.

Corey Graves: Classic champion stuff here, focusing on a specific part of the body and zeroing in your offense on it.

Jericho followed up by picked Zayn up and whipped him into the ropes, chasing and clotheslining Zayn out to the outside. Jericho then stepped through the ropes and leapt off the apron, connecting with an axehandle smash to Zayn's back. Jericho whipped Zayn towards the steps, but Zayn in a desperate maneuver, reversed the whip and sent Jericho crashing into the steps. Jericho's impact dislodged the steps from the corner. Zayn pounded on his shoulder to get the blood going, and then charged forward, launching off the steps and hitting a dropkick on Jericho.

Joey Styles: Zayn is starting to get the upper hand in this match! Could he turn this around?

Zayn pumped the crowd up who got into it as he slid back into the ring. He bounced off the ropes as Jericho was getting back up and did a spectacular flip over the top rope, landing directly on the Champ. The crowd exploded.

Corey Graves: Did you see that?!? Sami Zayn is pulling out all the stops to win the title!

Zayn winced as he gripped his shoulder a little. He picked Jericho up and rolled him into the ring. Jericho was motionless. Zayn rolled in after and went for a pinfall, only getting a 2 count. Jericho rolled away, trying to get some distance between him and Zayn. The challenger pursued, but Jericho jumped up and landed on the second turnbuckle, then springboarded back towards Zayn and connected with a kick on Zayn's shoulder again, causing Zayn to fall to the mat, gripping his shoulder. Jericho then grabbed Zayn's arm and dropped to the mat into an arm bar, Jericho's legs draped around Zayn. Zayn was struggling wildly, crying out in agony. His hand hovered over the mat.

Corey Graves: Jericho has the arm bar locked in tight! He's been laser focused on that arm all night and Zayn's going to have no choice to tap out!

Zayn slowly rolled himself of to his was on his knees, and with a desperate show of strength, he managed to pick Jericho up who was still holding on to his arm.

Joey Styles: How is Zayn doing this!?

Zayn completely had Jericho in the air, but Jericho shifted his weight and kicked Zayn square in the gut, following it up with a codebreaker!

Corey Graves: What a counter! Jericho hit it!

Jericho rolled Zayn over and got the 1...2....3! "Break the Walls Down" hit the speakers and the crowd booed loudly.

Corey Graves: That's it! Chris Jericho is still your EBWF World Champion!

Jericho gestured angrily to have the referee bring his title to him. The ref did so and Jericho held the title tightly to his chest as the ref raised his arm in victory. Sami rolled out of the ring, as doctors rushed over to look at his shoulder.

Joey Styles: Chris Jericho has successfully defended his championship at Summerslam and he...

The lights suddenly went out in the arena and the crowd swirled with anticipation.

Corey Graves: Hey! What's going on here? Someone fire the guys in the truck, this is ridiculous.

The sound of organs played out of the speakers as the EBWF Tron became flush with a blue background. Words slowly faded into view on the screen, and as they appeared, the crowd went into hysterics.

I

AM

PHENOMENAL

Joey Styles: OH MY GOD! It CAN'T be!!

A spotlight fired up on the ramp and a hooded figure stood in the center, arms outstretched. As the lights came back up at the drop of the bass, it was clear who it was.

Joey Styles: AJ Styles has made his return to the EBWF!

Styles flipped his hoodie up and grinned at the crowd, looking out at the thousands of screaming EBWF fans, as "Phenomenal" by CFO$ played in the background. Jericho looked outraged as Styles pointed at Jericho, gesturing towards the World Championship belt.

Corey Graves: What the hell is he doing here?! This is supposed to be Jericho's moment!

Joey Styles: That's all the time we have tonight! I just can't believe it!

Jericho kicked the ring ropes, enraged as the crowd cheered Styles' return. The two stared each other down as the EBWF logo flashed in the corner and Summerslam went off the air.
