Mark Andrews walks in with his skateboard and is making his way down the hall when he is greeted by Renee Young
Renee Young: Mark Andrews, care for an interview?
Mark smiles at her with his blue eyes full of boyish optimism and his shining white smirk.
Mandrews: Of course, I'd love to!
Renee Young: You started training at 13 and were pro by 14, do you consider yourself a prodigy?
Mandrews: I do not mind people thinking that, I was just very lucky. I became a pro wrestler under 18 which is still rare even in America and usually the generational wrestlers, the wrestlers with family in the business get involved really early in age. I was in the perfect place at the right time and now I'm here at 24 years, a decade into my career and ready to show the world what I can do.
Renee Young: What is Defend Indy Wrestling ?
Mandrews: It is more than a catch phrase or a brand for merchandise, indy wrestling is in a pretty big boom and I want people to pay attention to even more of it. I have always preferred to be around the sub cultures and niche things like pro wrestling, punk music and I like to show everyone you can forget the stereotypes as I turn the wrestling world on it's ear as one of the best wrestlers of Europe. You've had your Luchadores, and you have your strong style or super junior puroresu guys, you have the american indie guys now you have one of the top cruiserweights, 4 time world champion and 3 time tag team champion.
Renee Young: How would you describe your in ring style?
Mandrews: My in ring style is British/ European style cruiserweight, extremely technical wizardry and classic to crazy cruiser-weight style. I was trained by the Harry Potter of UK technical style himself Zack Sabre Jr. , of course I will hit the 180 degree stunner and my shooting star press even my wheelbarrow-double foot stomp
or reverse frankensteiner but I am just as lethal on the mat.
