The following message is brought to you by the Neidhart Wrestling Dynasty.
The camera faded in on the running track that stretched around the entire circumference of the Sports Center at Chelsea Piers, an indoor gym just a mile and change from Madison Square Garden, where Christmas Eve of Destruction was set to take place the following day. The camera shook a fair amount as it attempted to keep up with Natalya Neidhart, who was maintaining a steady clip, her blonde and pink ponytail bouncing up and down as she jogged along the path. She was in a black tank top and a pair of pink gym shorts with a matching pair of Skechers. The cameraman was successful in keeping up with her for a brief period, but soon the distance between he and Natalya began to increase. She turned and slowed, jogging in place and tapping her wrist impatiently.
Natalya: Come on, Drew. This isn't like running with one of those skinny toothpicks that I share a locker room with. This is real cardio. Don't you give up on me now.
Nattie rolled her eyes with a huff.
Natalya: You know, you ought to consider yourself lucky that I allowed you to follow me around in the gym on the day before my big match with Sasha Banks. That girl is awful. I mean, terrible. But she is the Women's Champion so this is my crowning moment. This is the opportunity that I have to show that beautiful young lady that she is not as good as she thinks she is. I would typically reserve this as "me time", but out of the kindness of my heart I decided to allow the EBWF Universe to take a peak at some of the training that goes into making a champion. All of that responsibility on your shoulders camera guy, and you can't even make it a quarter-mile without running out of air.
She shook her head as her pace slowed as she talked.
Natalya: On that topic, as a model citizen of the EBWF and a wrestling goddess, I get a lot of questions about my humble beginnings as a young Neidhart. They ask about my time in the famed Hart Dungeon where I became the first woman to graduate from Stu Hart's academy. How exactly did Natalya, the greatest women's wrestler in the history of the world go from honing her craft with real salt-of-the-earth people in Canada to becoming the face of an entire division? It wasn't an easy path, my friends. No, it was not.
She smiled proudly as she pointed at herself.
Natalya: It took hard work. Determination. Passion. A desire for true excellence. These are things I grew up with my entire life, and they will be things that I will pass on to the next generation of womens wrestlers some day. Now I will admit that the current crop of women couldn't be taught the difference between a wrist lock and a wrist watch, but that is the burden of me being so good at what I do. I just roll up my sleeves and do what needs to be done. For example, tomorrow night I will get into the ring with "The Boss" Sasha Banks. She has been allowed to run roughshod over the EBWF, and she has beaten virtually everyone in the business.
She clenched her fist. Her features became grim with a sense of determination, though it seemed to ring hollow with her inflated hyperbole.
Natalya: The burden falls on me, the most talented wrestler in the entire company, to teach her...again, that she is not the alpha that she believes herself to be. I was able to defeat her already two weeks ago, because it was necessary for me to show her where she truly stands. She may be the greatest female wrestler of this era, but let's face it. That's like saying the pancakes are the best tasting thing at Denny's, it's not really saying much. When Sasha takes those $1 sunglasses off and steps into the ring with me, she will quickly learn the ways of submission wrestling. She's found some success with her fancy little move, the "Bank Statement". It certainly has given her a few wins, and even earned her some prestige with the Women's Championship. I give her full marks for that. Tomorrow night, however, is going to be a moment of revelation for Sasha, for EBWF, and for the entire world. Submission wrestling is not something that you master by having one move that can tap out Eva Marie, or Gionna Daddio. Submission wrestling is a lifestyle. It's years of jiu-jitsu training, and a lifetime of takedowns, grappling holds, and mat wrestling. And do you know what the best part is?
She beamed.
Natalya: Not only do I get to teach Sasha Banks about submission wrestling, I get to teach her about submission wrestling from ringside. On the ramp. On the stage. On the announce booth. Sasha Banks will see all manner of scenic areas of historic Madison Square Garden as I make her pass out from the pain of being twisted in every possible shape. And after I have decided that she has been taught the proper lesson about that, I will gift her the most important thing of all: the bitter agony of defeat. She will have to look on, pain shooting up and down her spine, as I walk off with her EBWF Women's Championship - and I start my next great reign. And you can take that to the bank, buster.
She winked with a supremely confident smile as she tightened her pony tail.
Natalya: Oh, you can leave now.
She waved and jogged away as the scene faded to black.
