Joey Styles: Good evening and welcome to Warfare! We are live from San Antonio, Texas and the Fallout from the Royal Rumble begins tonight!
Corey Graves: We're going to see the Women's Royal Rumble winner, Liv Morgan in action later on tonight, as she takes on Paige, who unsuccessfully challenged Natalya for the Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble.
Joey Styles: Congratulations to Liv Morgan, and Samoa Joe, who won the men's Rumble. We'll see PJ Black, the runner up of this year's Royal Rumble match, in action against Kevin Owens in our main event tonight.
Corey Graves: Up first though...
Corey was interrupted by the arena lights going out, and the infamous five second countdown appearing on the tron. The countdown clock hit zero, "Break the Walls Down" hit, and Chris Jericho made his way to the ring. As Jericho entered the ring, his music was cut and the arena lights came back on. Jericho had a microphone with it, and there was an angry expression on his face as he began to speak.
Chris Jericho: 69 minutes. One hour and nine minutes... that's how long I lasted in the Royal Rumble match, eliminating six superstars in the process. I outlasted 27 other men, and I would have out lasted all 29... but that sumo wrestler freak Samoa Joe came in at number thirty and managed to eliminate me. If I had been just a little fresher, I would have taken Joe and PJ Black out, and earned my place in the main event of Wrestlemania, but even the greatest of all time has his limits. Samoa Joe... I'm not even sure if he's Samoan! But what's done is done, and I can't change that. Everyone knows that it was a conspiracy, but I'd prefer to move forward. Stone Cold Steve Austin, you stacked the odds against me, and still I was able to shine. So let's move forward together. I'm out here to request the rematch I never had – a match with AJ Styles for the EBWF World Title. I think we can both agree that after my performance at the Royal Rumble, I've earned it.
Jericho's tone changed as he addressed the EBWF General Manager. Perhaps realising that making threats and demands was not the way to get what he wanted, Jericho's tone was softer and politer. He even smiled as he waited for Texas Rattlesnake, but as Austin kept him waiting, Jericho couldn't suppress a scowl.
Chris Jericho: Come on, Austin... do the right thing. Come out here and address me, man to man. After everything you've put me through, it's the least you can do.
Jericho paced back and forth in the ring, waiting for Stone Cold. "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed hit, and the crowd cheered as Austin finally made his way to the ring. Austin brought a microphone with him, and as he entered the ring, his music was cut and the General Manager began to speak.
Steve Austin: You want to talk man to man, Jericho? Alright, let's talk man to man. And I've got to be honest, as much as I don't like you, I sure as hell respect you, especially after your performance at the Royal Rumble. And because of that, I'm going to give you what you want. At Fallout, you will get a shot at the EBWF World Title...
Jericho interrupted Austin, clearly excited by the General Manager's announcement.
Chris Jericho: Yes! Thank you! AJ isn't going to stand a chance.
Austin did not look pleased at being interrupted.
Steve Austin: Son, I wasn't finished. Do not interrupt me again. You impressed me at the Rumble, Jericho, I'll give you that. But you weren't the only man that impressed me. Jimmy Havoc, the guy who was wrestling in death matches in England this time last year, held his own against one of the finest wrestlers the EBWF has ever seen, AJ Styles. Alex Riley, a man who has finally stepped out from The Miz's shadow, managed to make it to the final four of the Royal Rumble. And PJ Black, in his first match after a serious back injury, was the last guy eliminated from the Rumble. You deserve a World Title shot, but so do those three superstars.
Jericho tried to protest, but Austin cut him off.
Steve Austin: I'm warning you, Jericho. Let me finish or you won't get another title match as long as I'm in charge. As I was saying, there are several EBWF superstars who impressed me at the Royal Rumble. So here's what we're going to do. At Fallout, AJ Styles will defend the World Title inside the Elimination Chamber. Entering the chamber will be the ten time World Champion, Chris Jericho. The former Intercontinental Champion, Jimmy Havoc. The current Intercontinental Champion, Alex Riley. The Path to Glory Champion, PJ Black. And one other superstar, who will be determined in a qualifying match on Warfare next week. And that's all I've got to say about that.
Austin held out his hands, signalling to Jericho that he was done talking. Jericho smiled deviously... he still looked angry, but there was a fire in his eyes.
Chris Jericho: So I'm finally getting my rematch, but it's not a one on one match. Of course it isn't, because then I'd be getting treated fairly. Alright Steve, if you want to make me challenge AJ in the Elimination Chamber, I'll face AJ inside the Chamber. Because what you might not know is that I've won an Elimination Chamber match before. And at Fallout, I'll do it again. Your conspiracy won't stop me from main eventing Wrestlemania, Austin... and that's all I've got to say about that.
Austin smirked.
Steve Austin: Good luck to ya.
"Glass Shatters" hit, and Austin exited the ring as Warfare went to a commercial break.
Noelle Foley started the match strongly, taking Eva Marie down with a spear and then punching her on the mat several times. Noelle pulled Eva to her feet and hit a snapmare, then as Eva got to her feet, Noelle went to whip her against the ropes. Eva reversed the Irish whip, sending Noelle into the ropes, then went for a clothesline. Noelle ducked out of the way, then as Eva turned around, Noelle applied the Mandible Claw! Eva submitted and the referee called for the bell.
Joey Styles: An impressive win for Noelle Foley in her first ever match!
"Stars in the Night" by CFO$ hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Paige made her to the ring.
Joey Styles: Up next, we've got our second women's match of the night as Paige takes on the 2017 Women's Royal Rumble winner, Liv Morgan!
When Paige had entered the ring, "Crushed" by Parkway Drive hit and Liv Morgan received a mixed reaction from the crowd as she headed to the ring. Once both women were in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Morgan ran at Paige, taking her down with a clothesline. Paige got to her feet, and Morgan hit another clothesline, then when Paige got back up, Morgan whipped her against the ropes. As Paige ran back towards her, Liv Morgan hit a single leg dropkick. Both women got to their feet, and Morgan hit another dropkick.
Corey Graves: Great energy from Liv Morgan right now!
Morgan grabbed Paige and hit an STO, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Morgan pulled Paige to her feet and whipped her into the corner, then sat her on the top turnbuckle. As Morgan climbed the turnbuckle, Paige fought back, hitting her with a series of punches. Morgan fell from the turnbuckle, and Paige jumped from the second rope, hitting a diving double axe handle. She stomped on Morgan several times, then applied an STF. Morgan was able to get to the ropes, and Paige broke the hold. She pulled Morgan to her feet and hit her with some more right hands, then whipped her against the ropes. As Morgan ran back towards her, Paige went for a side kick, but Morgan ducked out of the way, then grabbed Paige from behind and hit a belly-to-back suplex. Both women got to their feet and Morgan hit a running one-handed bulldog, followed by a kip-up. Morgan stood over Paige, waiting for her to get to her feet. When Paige was up, Morgan hit a reverse roundhouse kick, then went to the top rope and hit a Moonsault! She hooked the leg once more – 1... 2... 3!
Joey Styles: It's over! Liv Morgan gets the victory!
Corey Graves: An impressive performance from the New Jersey Rocker!
Morgan celebrated as Warfare went to a commercial break.
As Warfare returned from a commercial break, JTG was on his way to the ring for the next match.
Joey Styles: Welcome back! Up next, we've got JTG in action as he takes on the former Intercontinental Champion, Jimmy Havoc.
Corey Graves: Havoc had some harsh words to say about JTG in the build up to this match... it will be interesting to see how JTG responds in the ring.
When JTG was in the ring, "I Hope You Suffer" by AFI hit and the crowd booed as Jimmy Havoc made his way down the ramp. Upon entering the ring, Havoc glared at his opponent. The referee called for the bell and JTG went for a clothesline, but Havoc ducked out of the way, then hit JTG with a series of punches. Havoc took JTG down with a Russian legsweep, then punched him against the mat several times. He got to his feet and stomped on JTG repeatedly, before hitting an elbow drop.
Joey Styles: An aggressive start by Jimmy Havoc!
Corey Graves: You know Havoc isn't just motivated by winning, Joey... he likes to hurt people!
Havoc pulled JTG to his feet and kicked him in the midsection, then hit a DDT. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Havoc sat JTG up, applying a sleeper hold. JTG fought out of it, and both men got to their feet. JTG whipped Havoc against the ropes and went for a leg lariat, but Havoc ducked out of the way, then grabbed JTG and hit a neckbreaker. Havoc applied a crossface on JTG, but JTG managed to get to the ropes. Havoc refused to break the hold! The referee threated to disqualify Havoc, and began the five count, but at the count of four, Havoc broke the hold. He pulled JTG away from the ropes, lifted him over his shoulders, and hit the Death Valley Driver!
Joey Styles: Oh my god! JTG landed on his neck... he could be seriously hurt, Corey!
Havoc hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Havoc went to reapply the crossface, but JTG rolled out of the way and both men got to their feet. Havoc and JTG exchanged right hands back and forth, and JTG was able to gain the upper hand. He whipped Havoc into the corner, then went for a corner clothesline, but Havoc moved out of the way, causing JTG to collide with the turnbuckles. Havoc grabbed JTG from behind and slammed his head off the top turnbuckle, then grabbed him by the wrist and turned him around, hitting the Acid Rainmaker! He hooked the leg once more – 1... 2... 3!
Joey Styles:...and just like that Jimmy Havoc has assumingly beaten JTG!
Corey Graves: Was it ever in doubt Joey?
Jimmy grabbed JTG and pulled him up to his feet once more, slapped him and threw him out of the ring.
Jimmy stood up, smiled and motioned over to the ringside crew for his belt and a microphone.
Jimmy grabbed his belt and the mic and shoo’d the man away.
Havoc: “I did what I said I was going to do. JTG is done, I also said I had a few things I wanted to say and I’m going to fucking do that. Alright?”
The crowd boo’d loudly.
Havoc: “Oh whatever. Think i’m arsed what you all think? Anyway, the matter at hand is. I lost to AJ Styles at the Rumble…”
The crowd cheered and chanted AJ’s name.
Havoc: “Quiet! Fucking...QUIET.”
The crowd boo’d once again.
“I lost. It was a good match and on another day, I reckon I can take AJ. I’m fully aware i’ll have that title soon enough. However, Baron Corbin also lost his match. In a match...that included Matt Sydal?! I think i’m going to be sick. I thought you were a big man Baron? You talk a bit game but when it comes down to it, you’re all bark and no fucking bite. You’re not fit enough to be my tag partner. Get out here. NOW.”
“The Broken” by Lit played and Baron Corbin made his way to the ring. Once in the ring, he grabbed a mic and stood toe to toe with Jimmy Havoc.
Havoc: “Give me. My fucking. Title belt. You did not earn that, I gave it to you and I can take it away.”
Baron looked at Jimmy and then looked to the crowd. He went to hand Jimmy the title put pulled it away at the last second.
Corbin: “You want this god damn title? How about you take it from me...little man.”
The crowd cheered.
Joey Styles: “Is this the end of The Broken?”
Jimmy laughed put his tongue in his cheek.
Havoc: “This could’ve so much easier for you. All you had to do was give me the title and walked away. You’re a fool. I did however, see this coming.”
Corbin looked puzzled.
Corbin: “I dont know what the hell you’re talking about but, I’m ready to kick your ass.”
Havoc smiled again, this time from ear to ear.
Havoc: “I’m not going to take that title off you Baron. I’m not even going to fight you.”
Corbin laughed.
Havoc: “...but I know a man who will.”
As Corbin was about to say something in response, one word blasted over the PA system…
BBBBBBRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNN!
Joey Styles: “Oh my god! It’s Braun Strowman!”
Corbin turned to face the stage, watching the 6’8”, 385 pound behemoth that is Braun Strowman making his way down the ramp. Havoc could be seen smirking behind Corbin. As Strowman entered the ring, he stared at Corbin menacingly. Refusing to be intimidated, Corbin stared right back at Strowman… then hit him with a right hand! Strowman didn’t move, and Corbin went for another right hand. This time, Strowman blocked it, grabbing Corbin’s wrist with his left hand. With his right hand, Strowman then grabbed Corbin by the throat! Corbin’s eyes widened as Strowman began to choke the life out of him. Strowman then lifted Corbin up, hitting a Chokeslam. As Corbin hit the mat, Strowman stomped on him repeatedly, then pulled him to his feet, hitting a Running Powerslam. Strowman crouched down over Corbin and hit him pummelled him with right hands, busting Corbin open. He then dragged Corbin to his feet, throwing him out of the ring. Strowman followed Corbin out of the ring, and began eyeing up the announce table.
Corey Graves: “I think we better move, Joey!”
Strowman took the top off the table, throwing it at Corbin, then threw the monitors onto the floor. He picked Corbin up and lifted him up once more, Chokeslamming him through the table! Strowman re-entered the ring as ringside officials rushed to tend to Corbin.
Joey Styles: “The Broken might be no more, Corey, but the New Face of Destruction is here in EBWF… and he’s started by destroying Baron Corbin!”
Havoc picked up the Tag Title and handed it to Strowman, then the two men exited the ring as Warfare went to a commercial break.
Christy Hemme: This match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, he is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada…
“GLORIOUS!”
The crowd was hot for Bobby Roode who did his usual turn style entrance as his music played. Roode made his way down to the ring.
Christy Hemme: And his opponent, he is the Intercontinental Champion…
Alex Riley came to the ring next prepared to take on Roode. The bell rang. Riley kicked Roode in the leg. Roode backed up and tried to go behind Riley, but Riley turned it into an armbar. Roode stood out of it and locked in a headlock. Riley forced Roode into the ropes, and taunted him. Roode did the glorious taunt. Riley tried to lock up with Roode, but he retreated to the ropes. Roode elbowed Riley in the head and took Riley down with a top wrist lock. Riley front flipped out, but Roode reversed it into a head scissor. Riley wiggled out again. Roode tried to taunt Riley again, but Riley kneed him in the gut then stuck him with a flying knee drop. Spinning enziguri by Riley. Riley charged at Roode in the corner, but Roode caught him and sat Riley on the top rope. Roode pushed Riley off the top. Riley took a nasty spill to the outside. When he got back in, Roode faceplanted him, and went for the quick pin. Roode got a two count.
Joey Styles: The Glorious One should have had it won there!
Roode tried the Glorius DDT, but Riley reversed it into a knee strike. Riley hit the ropes and ran right into a spine buster for another near fall. Roode sat Riley on the top rope for a superplex. Riley fought out of it. He hit a gut buster!
Corey Graves: I don’t know who got the worst of that one.
Roode planted Riley with a DDT, and then climbed up to go off the top. Diving kick by Riley! Riley went for the pin 1…2. Roode kicks out. Riley leaned over Roode to get him up, and Roode kicked Riley in the face. Roode pinned Riley with his feet on the ropes, but the Referee saw it. Riley leveled him with a High Knee! Riley went for the pin. 1..2.. Roode kicked out!
Joey Styles: Are you kidding me?
Corey Graves: I thought that was game over for Bobby Roode!
Riley pulled Roode to his feet and set him up for the Riley Elevation, but Roode fought out of it, then hit a neckbreaker. Both men got to their feet, and Roode hit the Glorious DDT! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Corey Graves: It's over! A glorious comeback by Bobby Roode!
Kevin Owens was introduced first, followed by the Path to Glory Champion, PJ Black.
Joey Styles: PJ Black is still, after an unprecedented run, the Path to Glory Champion, do you think he’ll ever turn in that championship, Corey?
Corey Graves: We won’t know that until Aftermath, Joey! Right now he has to take on The Prizefighter, Kevin Owens!
The bell rang and PJ went for a spin kick, but Owens rolled to the outside. Owens whipped Black back first to the barricade. Black likewise sent Owens shoulder first to the barricade. PJ clotheslined Owens and rolled him back into the ring. PJ got a single leg dropkick for a one count. They traded pin attempts as Owens connected with the Cannonball for a two count. Owens followed up with a series of knife edge chops. He went for a pin, but Black kicked out at the count of two. Owens tried to take back momentum with a clubbing blow to the back of PJ. He launched Black rib first to the top rope. He kicked Black in the back, and moved in for a running senton for a two count. Owens followed through with a snap mare followed by a rear chin lock. Black couldn’t turn the tied his way, and Owens delivered a knee to the gut of Black. Black fired up with a vicious lariat, and planted Owens with the Black Diamond for a two count.
Corey Graves: Kevin Owens almost got the better of the PTG champion!
With both men recovered, Black planted Owens with a brain buster on the ring apron. They exchanged rocker’s punches. Black went to the ground and pound attack, but again Owens rolled out of the ring. Black went for a spinning Tornado DDT through the middle rope, but Owens countered with a superkick. Owens followed that up with a cannonball. He connected with the Bull Frog Splash for a two count.
Corey Graves: PJ Black holding on against KO.
Black connected with a Tornado DDT and Owens responded with another superkick. He went for the Pop Up Powerbomb, but Black got back on his feet. Black dropped Owens with two Half Nelson suplexes. He went for the spin kick, but Owens countered with the Pop Up Powerbomb for a two count as Black foot reaches the bottom rope. Owens screamed at the referee. Black planted Owens with the Enzugiri and then went to the top rope for the 450 splash. He went of the pin.
1.
2.
3!
Corey Graves: PJ Black has done it! He has a victory over Kevin Owens.
Joey Styles: Is there anyone he can’t beat.
PJ stood on the turnbuckle with the Path to Glory Championship as Warfare went off the air.
