Warfare was live from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Joey Styles and Corey Graves were at the announce desk.
Joey Styles: We. Are. LIVE! Just 13 days from WrestleMania 16! We're looking forward to a main event between PJ Black and Alex Riley! And also, four men will battle for the vacated Path to Glory Championship!
Corey Graves: But I'm looking forward most to the return of Zahra Schreiber, who will battle the EBWF Women's Champion after the despicable act by Liv Morgan last week!
The show played a video package of the feud between Natalya and Liv Morgan. It showed the destruction of Natalya's vehicle, and Nattie chasing after her nemesis last week. Once the package completed, cameras returned back to the ring as Lillian Garcia picked up a microphone. She smiled brightly.
Christy Hemme: The following contest is a non-title match, and is scheduled for one fall!
"Crushed" by Parkway Drive hit the speakers and the crowd got to their feet.
Joey Styles: Zahra Schreiber is returning after an injury that kept her out of action for some time. We saw her last week helping Liv escape after the number one contender absolutely trashed Natalya's Camaro.
Corey Graves: You've got to believe that Nattie is going to want a little payback after the criminal vandalism of her vehicle.
The music continued to play, however no one came out. The crowd's cheering had been reduced to a dull roar as they awaited Schreiber's appearance.
Joey Styles: Well we're still awaiting Liv's friend Zahra...
Joey was interrupted as the the EBWF Tron lit up. A scene of chaos ensued as the camera focused in on Zahra Schreiber, who was motionless on the ground in a backstage area. An EBWF trainer was down in front of Zahra, talking to her and attempting to get a response.
Liv Morgan: Zahra!
The crowd swelled with noise as Liv entered the scene and got down to one knee to check on Zahra.
Joey Styles: It's hard to tell what happened, but it looks like Zahra has been attacked...
The medical trainer rolled Zahra Schreiber over to her side as they attempted to get her up to a standing base, she was moving but it was labored. Liv eyed something on the floor that was underneath her friend, a sheet of paper folded up in quarters. She picked it up as the trainers carefully escorted Schreiber away. The camera moved behind her and zoomed in on the paper as Liv unfolded the sheet. In big pink letters, the paper said:
"Enjoy watching Wrestlemania from home. <3 Nattie"
Liv growled and crumpled the paper up, throwing it as hard as she could. She stormed off in the direction of her friend to check up on her. Cameras returned back to the announce desk.
Joey Styles: Well ladies and gentlemen, we will keep you up to date on the status of Zahra Schreiber as she gets examined by medical professionals.
Corey Graves: It looks like Natalya got her revenge, but at what cost?
They fell silent as EBWF Warfare went to commercial.
The EBWF broke out into a mixed reaction of boos and cheers as the lights turned green and yellow, with ‘Destroyer’ by CFO$ blasting the PA system and the mood instantly changed when Samoa Joe appeared on the stage. He looked his usual, menacing self as he smirked while staring up at the WrestleMania sign wearing jeans and a new Samoa Joe t-shirt, with the white towel draped around his back and over his shoulders as he made the slow, long walk down the ramp.
Joey Styles: There he is, that’s the man who booked his spot in the main event of WrestleMania by standing tall in the Royal Rumble in January, and now knows his opponent will be PJ Black.
Corey Graves: That’s not just any man, that’s the look of the most confident, menacing individual we’ve seen step foot in this company in a very long time, I really wouldn’t like to be PJ Black right now.
Joey Styles: Well AJ Styles is still floating around wanting his rematch, and this man has been forced to sit back and watch things unfold but tonight, he finally addresses the new champion and his title match, I can’t wait to hear what he has to say.
Joe got into the ring and picked up a microphone from the corner as he stood in the middle of the ring and stared at the WrestleMania sign, even when his music stopped playing.
Samoa Joe: Can you believe it? You’re right, I don’t think anybody can. PJ Black is the new EBWF World Champion. Everybody has their thoughts on it: laughable, deserving, an underdog story. My thoughts? That’s what you’re all here for, right? That’s why I was told to come out here and address this ‘situation’ because nobody could believe it, nobody could believe it actually happened when PJ Black took the title inside of the Elimination Chamber. I’m going to echo the same statements I made before the event took place, PJ Black is NOT the winner from that Chamber. He’s the loser. And he meets his fate at WrestleMania when he comes face to face with the Destroyer.
The mixed reactions turned to cheers, but Joe didn’t let it get the better of him.
Samoa Joe: You see? These people who boo me mercilessly every single week cheer for me when they find out that I’m going to destroy PJ Black because even they can’t believe that YOU are THEIR World Champion. You’re not my World Champion, though. I’m not going to bow my head to you or respect you, hell, I don’t even care who the opponent is. I promised to be World Champion and whether it’s AJ Styles or PJ Black at WrestleMania, the title is coming home with me either way. You had your opportunity to show the world that you belong on the stage with somebody like me when it was me and you at the Royal Rumble, and if you are as good as you say you are and better than me like you think you are, you’d have won that Rumble, not me.
Joe started to laugh at the prospect of facing PJ Black at WrestleMania for the biggest prize the company has to offer.
Samoa Joe: I’m not going to come out here and throw statistics at you, or pour my heart out or explain how I’ve been held down like you do every single time you pick up that microphone. I’m just going to tell you to be ready. You’re not the only one who last that Path to Glory Championship, because I was the number one contender and everybody knows your so-called historic reign was coming to an end, but where one door closes, another one opens. I’ll happily take the world title off of you instead and you’ll be at the back of the line where you belong.
Joe was heading for the exit before stopping in his tracks to deliver one final statement to his new rival.
Samoa Joe: You have just under two weeks to understand this. I am NOTHING like what you have faced during your time in this company, nothing. I’m not coming to WrestleMania to beat you, I’m coming to take that title, put you in your place and restore normality and dominance back to that title, and this company. If I have to beat you to within an inch of your life to do that, so be it, you’ll have to learn the hard way, but it sounds like these people know exactly what’s going to go down.
EBWF FANS: JOE’S GONNA KILL YOU! JOE’S GONNA KILL YOU! JOE’S GONNA KILL YOU!..
The chants started quickly as Joe threw the microphone out of the ring and he couldn’t help but smirk at the chants as his music also started to play. He confidently walked up the ramp with a defiant message to the champion.
Warfare returned from commercial and Owens, Havoc, Cesaro, and AJ Styles were in the ring staring each other down. They all looked extremely intense an hell bent on becoming the EBWF Path To Glory Champion.
Corey Graves: This is a big one. A new Path To Glory Champion is going to be crowned right here tonight, Joey.
Joey Styles: Here we go!
The bell rang and the match was underway. Almost instantaneously Styles and Havoc squared off as did Owens and Cesaro. The place was going nuts as both match ups were an array of right and left hands back and forth. Owens got the best of Cesaro clotheslining him out of the ring. Havoc ended up backing Styles into the corner and then backed up, and hit a running forearm, right to the neck of AJ, sending him slumped into the corner. As Havoc hit this move, he turned around right into a Pop Up Powerbomb.
Corey Graves: We are gonna have a new champion right away here!
Joey Styles: ONE.. TWO.. no! Cesaro saved the day.
Cesaro from the outside had pulled Owens off by the leg. The two then immediately squared off on the outside once again going back and forth with right hands. Havoc was slowly back to his feet, and Styles began to stalk him. AJ went for the Styles Clash but Havoc was able to counter. He wriggled away and then hit a spinning heel kick on Styles that caught him right in the chin. Havoc went for a cover and earned a two count. Owens slid back into the ring after sending Cesaro crashing into the barricade with a vicious whip. He tried to hit another Pop Up Powerbomb, but Havoc countered into a drop kick mid air, which sent Owens staggering back into the ropes. Havoc and Styles looked at each other, and decided to team up. Havoc whipped AJ into Owens in the corner and AJ hit a body splash on Owens. This sent Owens out of the corner in a daze. Jimmy hit Owens with an Acid Rainmaker in the middle of the ring. He then hit an unsuspecting Styles with a lariot that sent Styles crashing to the outside. He went for the cover on Owens. The ref counted ONE.. TWO.. but once again Cesaro broke the count, this time with a knee drop on the back of Havoc. As Havoc popped up, Cesaro grabbed him and dropped him by his legs. He then began to swing him around.
Corey Graves: Time for the SWING!
Joey Styles: Cesaro gaining momentum.
As Cesaro released him Owens was to his feet. Cesaro turned and gave Kevin a vicious upper cut that sent him staggering back. Unbeknownst the others AJ Styles had gone to the turn buckle, and he flew off with a cross body block, that took out all 3 of the other competitors. The crowd started a this is awesome chant!
Corey Graves: I'm with them.. this is awesome.
Joey Styles: Wait a minute what's this?
The Miz walked onto the stage dressed in a full suit he held Riley's Intercontinental Title over his shoulder. He had a bit of a smirk on his face as he walked onto the ramp.
Corey Graves: What's The Miz doing out here?
Joey Styles: Does he need a reason?
Corey Graves: Well.. yeah kind of!
A few paces behind Miz came Alex Riley. Riley was dressed in ring gear, and looked extremely intense. The two men walked down the ring, by now the 4 men competing in the match were all up on their feet. Riley and Miz said nothing and just stared into the ring. Trying to take advantage, AJ hit a Styles Clash on Cesaro who wasn't paying attention. This caught the attention of Owens and Havoc who turned and double teamed Styles backing him into the corner. Styles tried to fight his way out, but Owens drilled him with a Pop Up Powerbomb for his efforts. When it looked as though it was going to be down to Havoc and Owens. Riley yelled "NOW" from the outside. From out of the crowd, dressed in ring gear. Came Darren Young and Titus O'Neil.
Joey Styles: Is that- it is- that's Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. What are they doing here?!
Corey Graves: It looks like they are going in the ring.
O'Neil, Riley, Young, and Miz all entered the ring. Miz immediately attacked the referee sending him down with a stiff left hand. Havoc and Owens began to try and fight the 4 men who had entered the ring, but were quickly overwhelmed by the numbers game. It became a 4 on 2 mugging of Owens and Havoc who rolled out of the ring after being beaten down. The crowd was booing, as Riley barked out orders to Titus Young who quickly planted a staggering Cesaro with the Clash of the Titus. This caused Cesaro to roll out of the ring as well. Riley cocked his head to the only man remaining in the ring, and that was AJ Styles. He yelled to the group. Get HIM! The three men began to stomp AJ Styles like a pack of wolves. Darren Young straddled AJ and began hitting right hand after right hand, busting him wide open. Riley looked at Miz and winked, and Miz delivered the Skull Crushing Finale to AJ in the middle of the ring. Miz popped up and exclaimed "Damn that felt good." Which caused laughter from the group. The crowd was booing this assault.
Joey Styles: This is sickening! What is happening here!?
Corey Graves: I don't think they are done, Joey.
The Primetime Players picked a beaten and bloody Styles up, and threw him right into a TKO from Alex Riley. They then picked the referee up, and grabbed him by the hair. The referee was staggered and dazed. However, O'Neil and Young yelled at him "COUNT! NOW! DO IT!" Riley pinned Styles and the referee afraid for his safety made the count ONE.. TWO.. THREE.. and the bell rang. While this was going on Miz had grabbed a microphone from the time keeper.
The Miz: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN YOUR WINNER AND THE NEW EBWF PATH TO GLORY CHAMPION- ALEX MOTHER EFFING RILEY!!!
The crowd booed as Young and O'Neil clapped. Miz brought in the EBWF Path To Glory Championship and the EBWF Intercontinental Title and handed both to Riley. Riley raised both in the air to a chorus of boos from the crowd. He took the mic from Miz.
Alex Riley: So let's just make this clear. Each and every one of you can stop your booing and your sniveling and your crying. It's not going to make me any less great, and it's not going to stop what will be the most dominant faction in the history of the EBWF, THE. VARSITY. CLUB!
Riley, Miz, Young, and O'Neil all raised each others hands and soaked in boos for a couple of beats.
Alex Riley: I am the EBWF Intercontinental Champion, the EBWF Path To Glory Champion, and later tonight I'm going to beat the living hell out of the EBWF World Champion- because.. well because I freaking feel like it.. you mad bro?
The crowd booed extremely loud as the other members of TVC laughed.
Alex Riley: Like it or not, you better get used to this group in front of you taking names, and tearing apart any losers who cross our path. Because if you aint Varsity..
Riley motioned to his group.
Alex Riley: You're nothing but J...V... scrubs.
He pointed to the 3 fallen men. As he dropped the mic and Say it to my Face by Downstait was heard over the PA System. The crowd booed as Riley held up his two titles, and the rest of the Varsity Club clapped for him.
Corey Graves: I can't believe this Joey. Alex Riley forced his way into this match, and he just won the Path To Glory Championship.
Joey Styles: And now he's about to face PJ Black in our Main Event. What a turn of events!
Corey Graves: We'll be right back.
Warfare went to a commercial.
Warfare came back from a commercial with Alex Riley still in the ring. The Varsity Club was on the outside and PJ Black's music was playing as he made his way down the ramp, with the EBWF Championship over his shoulder.
Joey Styles: Well this should be a great one, Corey. We got the new EBWF Champion vs. The Intercontinental Champion SLASH EBWF Path To Glory Champion.
Corey Graves: Of course these two men were in the Elimination Chamber match at Fallout, where Black emerged victorious, but Riley with the formation of The Varsity Club and his take over of the fatal four way match, has certainly made his presence felt tonight.
The bell rang and the match was underway. Riley and Black met in the center of the ring with a strong lock up. The early advantage went to Riley who got Black in a side headlock. Black shoved Riley into the ropes and Riley rebounded knocking Black to the mat with a shoulder block. Riley went to drop an elbow, but Black moved out of the way. Both men were back to a vertical base, Black connected on a standing drop kick and earned an early 2 count. Black then helped Riley to his feet and whipped him into the corner. He then charged at a dazed Riley and went for a high elbow, but Riley moved and Black elbowed the turn buckle. Black, dazed, turned into a DDT from Riley, and Riley earned himself a two count.
Joey Styles: Tremendous back and forth action here in the early going.
Now it was Riley helping Black to his feet. Riley looked to Miz, who shouted "STAY ON HIM" and Riley obliged with multiple knees to the midsection of the Champion. He went for a standing suplex, but PJ countered slipping off behind Riley and hitting a running bulldog. He went up to the top rope. Riley was to his feet dazed, and the referee was checking on him. Riley then purposefully fell into the referee, acting like he was out on his feet. Black saw this, and realized something was up, but it was too late. Miz took the opportunity to push Black off of the top rope and the champion fell face first to the mat below. Young and O'Neil quickly made their way into the ring and began stomping on Black. The crowd booed relentlessly. As Riley was back to his feet, and O'Neil and Young were out of the ring, as the referee turned around.
Joey Styles: GENIUS!
Corey Graves: That's what you call that?!
Riley was now back to his feet. As was Black who was still a bit shaken up. The referee slowly but surely was coming to as well. Riley went for the high knee, but Black avoided it and then dropped Riley with a powerful hip toss that sent Riley back first to the mat. Black went up to the top rope once again. PJ looked at TVC on the outside and began talking trash to them. Riley used this opportunity to roll Black up, the referee counted ONE.. TWO.. but PJ kicked out.
Joey Styles: Once again a near fall on the champion.
Corey Graves: Thanks to The Varsity Club's distraction!
Joey Styles: PJ has to stay focused on the match, that's what the Champion should do.
Both men were back to their feet. Riley went for a TKO but PJ countered going behind and hitting Riley with a back breaker. He then motioned to the crowd, for the 450!
Joey Styles: PJ is going for it..
Corey Graves: Wait a second!
Samoa Joe made his way in a sprint down the ramp. Black turned his attention immediately to the Royal Rumble winner, and went to jump on him from the turnbuckle to the outside. Joe caught him in mid air and ran him straight into the turnbuckle back first. The referee saw this and called for the bell. Miz grabbed A-Ri and along with Young and O'Neil dragged him out of the ring, and the group made their way back up the ramp and out of harms way. Joe rolled Black back into the ring. He then placed him up on the turnbuckle once more and PLANTED HIM with a devastating muscle buster. In the middle of the ring. Joe stared down at the fallen champion. He then crushed Black's midsection with a Senton for good measure.
Joey Styles: MAN OH MAN. Things are definitely already picking up going into Wrestlemania. Tonight Joe made a statement loud and clear.
Corey Graves: PJ Black has a daunting task in front of him, if his title reign is going to make it past Wrestlemania.
Joe stared down at a lifeless PJ Black as Destroyer by CFO$ was heard over the PA System, and Warfare went off the air.
