"I Am Stronger" by CFO$ hit and the crowd booed as Braun Strowman headed to the ring for the next match.
Joey Styles: Good evening and welcome to the first Warfare since Wrestlemania! Kicking things off tonight, we've got the "Monster Among Men", Braun Strowman, against the leader of the Bullet Club, Finn Balor.
When Strowman was in the ring, "Shot'Em" by [Q]Brick hit and Finn Balor came out to a mixed reaction, accompanied by the Bullet Club. As Balor entered the ring, he squared up to Strowman, showing the mountain of a man that he wasn't afraid. The referee called for the bell and Balor hit Strowman with a flurry of right hands, but the punches seemed to have little effect on the "New Face of Destruction". Balor ran against the ropes, then went for a forearm smash, but Strowman blocked it, then threw Balor across the ring. Balor got back to his feet and ran at Strowman once more, but Strowman took him down with a bit boot. Balor looked dazed as he got to his feet, and Strowman threw him into the corner, then chopped him hard in the chest. Balor writhed in pain and Strowman whipped him into the opposing corner, before charging towards him and hitting a body avalanche.
Corey Graves: Strowman is dominating Balor thus far!
Balor fell to the mat and Strowman stomped on him several times, before picking him up and hitting a backbreaker. Strowman covered Balor and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Strowman pulled Balor to his feet, but the leader of the Bullet Club fought back, hitting Strowman with a jawbreaker. Strowman staggered backwards, and Balor hit the Pele Kick... but Strowman remained on his feet. Balor hit Strowman with a series of kicks, then ran against the ropes, going for the sling blade... but Strowman countered it, hitting Balor with a spinebuster.
Joey Styles: No matter what Finn Balor does, Strowman is able to seize control!
Corey Graves: Strowman is twice the size of Finn Balor, Joey! What did you expect?
Balor got to his feet and Strowman grabbed him by the throat, going for a chokeslam. Balor fought out of it and kicked Strowman in the gut, then set him up for the 1916. Strowman blocked it, lifting Balor over his shoulders before hitting a military press slam. Balor struggled to his feet and Strowman lifted him up once more, this time hitting a running powerslam. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3! The referee called for the bell and raised Strowman's arm in victory. Braun stood over Balor, celebrating his win, then looked around the ring at the other members of the Bullet Club, daring them to come at him. When none of them did so, a visibly satisfied Strowman exited the ring and made his way to the back.
The camera cut backstage, where Liv Morgan stood with Renee Young.
Renee Young: Ladies and gentlemen, with me at this time is the 2017 Women’s Royal Rumble winner, Liv Morgan. Liv, at Wrestlemania you lost to Natalya in a street fight for the Women’s Championship. How do you feel about that match and your loss?
Liv Morgan: Yo Renee. Obviously I’m disappointed that I lost... yanno but I still got to be a part of Wrestlemania, which was so amazing! And as for Natalya…
All of a sudden a short man appeared Renee Young’s shoulder. His hair was gelled back, wearing a glittery red jacket with “DAR” sprawled across the back of it.
Noam Dar: Well, fuck me dead and caw’ me Sandra. Wha’ are you too gorgeous girlies talkin’ about then?
Liv Morgan: Ummm… who are you?
Noam Dar: My name is Noam Dar, the pleasure is aw yours hen.
Liv Morgan: Hen? Yo, what the f--
Renee interrupted.
Renee Young: Noam, I’m trying to interview Liv right now. Do you mind leaving?
Noam smirked.
Noam Dar: A wouldn't mind interviewing you any day of the week Miss Morgan. I’m gutted you lost by the way, you’re way fitter than Natalya.
Liv Morgan: Ugh… creep! Sorry Renee, I’m outta here bro.
Liv held a hand up to Noam’s face, then turned to walk away. As she did so, another EBWF superstar was walking towards her. He was wearing a grey fur jacket, bright purple tights, and had a selfie stick in his right hand.
Tyler Breeze: Well aren’t you... gorgeous.
Tyler smirked. Liv looked unimpressed.
Tyler Breeze: Noam, I hope you’re not bothering these two lovely ladies?
Noam Dar: Awright Tyler, A was jus’ trynna’ warm them up first aye? A thought it was goin’ quite well tae’ be honest. Renee awready fancies me.
Renee Young: No I don’t!
Noam Dar: You’re jus’ playin’ hard tae’ get. I’ve seen the way you been lookin’ at me! Am not jus’ A piece o’ meat yanno?
Renee Young: I don’t know what you’re talking about! I’ve literally never seen you before.
Noam Dar: That’s no what ye’ said in ma’ dm’s hen.
Liv Morgan: Yo, ya got marbles in ya mouth son? What the hell is wrong with you?!
Tyler Breeze: Liv, Renee… relax. What Noam is trying to say is that he thinks you’re both beautiful. And I don’t disagree. Noam and I are new here, and we’re just trying to make friends. Don’t you want to be our… friends?
For a moment, Liv and Renee’s faces softened. And then, a second later...
Noam Dar: Aye, friends with benefits! Yenaw what ah mean?
Tyler sighed, Renee rolled her eyes, and Liv slapped Noam across the face.
Liv Morgan: C’mon Renee, let’s get outta here before this creeper starts flashing us.
Liv grabbed Renee and pulled her away. As the two women walked away, Noam unzipped his jacket, revealing a t-shirt with his number on it.
Noam Dar: Caw’ me ladies. My DM’s are open, as Renee awready knows.
Renee was about to reply, but Liv told her to leave it.
Tyler Breeze: Okay, we’ll call that a work in progress. Come with me, I’m going to find out where the nearest tanning place is.
Tyler and Noam walked away as Warfare went to a commercial break.
The harbinger of the Dark Storm, Eva Marie came to the ring first. She was followed by EBWF vet Velvet Sky. The bell rang before they were announced, and when the match began Eva hit Velvet a few times but Velvet came back with a guillotine elbow. Eva rolled outside and taunted the crowd. Velvet went to the other side of the floor and dropkicked her through the ropes, then rolled her in but Eva kicked her into the ropes. Eva hung her on the turnbuckles but Velvet punched her a few times, then they headed up top and Eva kicked Velvet’s knee and sent her to the floor. Eva hit Velvet and rolled her back in, then threw her back outside and slammed her into the steps.
Joey Styles: The referee needs to get a handle on this match!
Velvet went to get back in but Eva somersaulted over the ref and took Velvet out with a senton. They rolled back into the ring. Eva looked a little upset and slapped Velvet, then she went for a springboard armdrag but Velvet shoved her out to the floor. Velvet connected with some axe handle smashes and a corner splash, then she suplexed Eva into the turnbuckle and went for the Beauty Mark. Eva countered with Sliced Read #2 and stomped Velvet’s hand. Velvet kicked off the ropes and locked Eva in her own hold! Eva fought and narrowly got her foot on the bottom rope, then Velvet charged but Eva kicked her and tried to retaliate.
Corey Graves: I thought Eva might have the upper hand just then!
Velvet caught her by surprise and hit the #1 Stunna. When she tried to pull Evan back up to her feet, Eva elbowed her. Velvet ran back, and tried to hit a hurricanrana but Eva shoved her and dumped Velvet on her head. Eva hit a seated senton for two, then she sets Velvet up on the turnbuckles, but Velvet hits a reverse hurricanrana and followed it up with the Beauty Mark for the 1..2..3!
As Warfare returned from commercial “I Hope You Suffer” by AFI echoed throughout the arena and a mixed creation came out of the crowd. Jimmy Havoc came out the curtain once again on top of Braun Strowman’s shoulders, he carried 4 Championship belts. He held the EBWF PTG and Intercontinental Championships aloft, showing them to the crowd. As they got to the ring Jimmy got off Braun’s shoulders and he handed the Tag Championships to Braun. Jimmy and Braun climbed into the ring, Jimmy stood on a turnbuckle and Braun stood against the ropes facing the camera. They held up their championship belts as Havoc jumped down and signalled for a microphone.
Jimmy Havoc: Well...Hello Miami.
The crowd reacted loudly to the mention of their city.
Jimmy Havoc: Isn’t this weird? I’m now standing in front of you, in front of the world as EBWF Tag Team Champion; EBWF Intercontinental Champion and EBWF Path To Glory Champion. Not only am I the King of the Goth’s….I’m the King of this fucking Company!
The crowd had a mixed reaction to Havoc’s last statement.
Jimmy Havoc: Love me or Loathe me, I hold 3 out of 5 Male Championships in this company. Right now, I am the fucking King. I am the man! I am the reason that this company makes their money and whether PJ Black or Enzo Amore like it...I am this company's true champion. Ain’t that right Braun?
Braun corrected him.
Braun Strowman: We are the company’s true champions.
Braun held up the Tag Titles, as if to prove his point. Jimmy smiled.
Jimmy Havoc: No, you’re right. Credit where credit is due, last time we defended those belts I didn’t even step foot in the ring. You deserve them mate.
Jimmy patted Braun on the back.
Jimmy Havoc:...and lets be honest. Had it not been for you, Varsity Club might have torn me apart. So, as my partner and very close friend I want to say, thank you.
Jimmy went for a hug on Braun. Braun’s body visibly stiffened as Havoc put his arms around him.
Braun Strowman: I don’t like hugs.
Havoc quickly retracted the hug.
Jimmy Havoc: That’s okay because TONIGHT is a celebration! We’re in Miami! We do it big in EBWF! Where’s the new GM? Steve Austin would’ve made sure his 2 premiere superstars we’re treated well! Chris! Get your ass out here, bring cake and beer!
A moment later, “Break the Walls Down” hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Chris Jericho stepped out onto the stage. Jericho looked the part of GM, and was wearing a grey designed suit. The new General Manager carried a bag with him, although it was unclear what was in the bag. As Jericho entered the ring, he placed the bag in the corner, then grabbed a microphone and began to speak.
Chris Jericho: Congratulations, Jimmy. You had a great match with Alex Riley at Wrestlemania, and after the shenanigans Riley pulled to win the PTG Title, I’m pleased to see that you earned the Intercontinental and Path to Glory Championships on merit. Even if you did have a bit of help.
Jericho nodded to Braun, who smirked.
Chris Jericho: Now as you can see, I don’t have any cake or beer… but I do have something else that I think you’ll like.
Jericho walked to the corner and pulled a new championship belt out of the bag. The title had custom Jimmy Havoc sideplates.
Chris Jericho: I bet when you were wrestling death matches in London, you didn’t expect to see an EBWF Title with your own sideplates on it, did you? I’d like to award you the new Gateway Championship.
Jimmy looked at the title in Jericho’s hands and smirked.
Jimmy Havoc: Wait, 4 Championship belts? I don’t think I’ve got enough space on my body! Oh and yes, I did think I’d be here. You know why? Cos I'm fucking fantastic.
Jimmy laughed and snatched the belt from Chris’ hands, handed Braun the PTG and IC Championships and held up his new belt and climbed the turnbuckle again showing it to the crowd. Jericho smiled, but his grin seemed forced. He walked over to Braun and took the IC and old PTG titles, putting them in the bag which had held the new Gateway Championship.
Chris Jericho: Congratulations, Jimmy.
Jericho picked up the bag and went to exit the ring. Jimmy stepped down from the turnbuckle and saw Chris Jericho step through the ropes.
Jimmy Havoc: Whilst you’re here, I wanted to have a word with you about something. Elimination Chamber, do you remember that? I would’ve been World Champion if it wasn’t for you.
Jericho stepped back into the ring. He was no longer smiling.
Chris Jericho: What I remember, Jimmy, is that I would have been World Champion if it wasn’t for you.
Jericho shrugged.
Chris Jericho: But hey… that’s all water under the bridge. The old rules of the Path to Glory Championship still apply; you can trade in that title for a World Title shot at Aftermath. But if I were you, I’d hold onto it. We both know you’ll never, eeeeeeeeever, be World Championship. You’re just not at that level, junior.
Jericho smirked. Jimmy rubbed his chin, tugging at a very low level of facial hair.
Jimmy Havoc: What are you now? 5 time Champion? I pinned your arse, I can pin a bitch like PJ Black trust me.
Jimmy smirked.
Jimmy Havoc: But if it makes you feel better, you can think that. Eventually however, I will be World Champion, I will be...YOUR...World Champion. How does that make you feel?
Chris Jericho: I’m a ten-time World Champion, which is ten times more than you will ever be. And yes, you did pin me. With a fucking roll up. I’m sure that’s something you’ll remember for the rest of your sorry life, long after everyone has forgotten who you are. Just like you’ll remember being hit with a Codebreaker. Although if you need a reminder, I can hit you with another.
Havoc smiled, laughed and stood behind Braun.
Jimmy Havoc: I mean, you could try.
Chris Jericho: That’s what I thought. You’re all talk. Good luck in your match tonight, Jimmy. You’re going to need it, because as of right now, Braun Strowman is BANNED from ringside.
Jericho grinned as he exited the ring. Havoc flipped his shit and kicked the ropes, trying to grab Jericho as he dropped down to ringside.
Joey Styles: High tension between Jericho and Havoc… but it’s the new General Manager that gets the last laugh!
Sydal and Andrews were first out to the ring, and the announcers put over the EBWF Tag Title scene before Enzo came to the ring followed by Trent. The bell rang and Trent got an early pin attempt, then Sydal tied him up and Andrews tried to assist. Enzo hit a double armdrag and applied a wristlock, then he went for a springboard but Sydal pulled the ropes down. Sydal stomped him a few times and applied a headlock, then Andrews got back in and threw a few strikes.
Corey Graves: Sydal and Andrews are keeping it going here!
Andrews and Sydal ended up colliding and Trent got the tag, and he connected with some running forearm shots and lifted Sydal on his shoulders. Sydal whipped Trent outside and crotched Enzo on the turnbuckles, then Andrews tried to assist with a double superplex. Trent evened things up and knocked them down, then Enzo hit a senton bomb for two. Sydal tries to steal a pin with a schoolboy. Trent broke it up and hit a rolling uppercut. Enzo transitioned into a rolling cutter and made the cover.
Joey Styles: Enzo Amore and Trent have won this tag match here tonight!
Joey Styles: Up next, our main event. The Glorious One, Bobby Roode, takes on the inaugural EBWF Gateway Champion, Jimmy Havoc.
Corey Graves: It will be interesting to see what mindset Havoc is in given that his tag team partner, the abominable Braun Strowman, has been banned from ringside by our new General Manager, Chris Jericho!
"Glorious Domination" by CF0$ hit and the crowd sang along as Bobby Roode headed to the ring. When Roode was in the ring, "I Hope You Suffer" by AFI hit and Jimmy Havoc came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. If Havoc was concerned about not having Braun Strowman in his corner, the Gateway Champion didn't show it as he made his way down the ramp. Upon entering the ring, Havoc held up the Gateway and Tag Team Titles, reminding his opponent that he was a double champion. The referee took the titles out of the ring then called for the bell. Roode ran at Havoc, going for a clothesline, but Havoc ducked out of the way, then turned to face Roode and hit him with a series of right hands. Havoc whipped Roode against the ropes, then took him down with a drop toe hold, before stomping on him repeatedly. Havoc pulled Roode to his feet and set him up for a suplex, but Roode blocked it, countering with a suplex of his own. Both men got to their feet and Roode whipped Havoc into the corner, then ran at him, hitting an uppercut. As Havoc staggered out of the corner, Roode set him up for a neckbreaker, but Havoc blocked it, then countered with a reverse STO into the corner.
Joey Styles: Great back and forth action so far!
Havoc hit Roode with a double foot stomp, then hooked the leg, but Roode kicked out at the count of 2. Havoc got to his feet and stomped on Roode several more times, before applying a sleeper hold. Roode fought out of it, then both men got to their feet. Havoc went for a discus elbow smash, but Roode ducked out of the way, grabbing Havoc from behind and hitting a German suplex. As Havoc got back to his feet, Roode whipped him against the ropes, then hit a swinging spinebuster. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!
Corey Graves: Another near fall! This time Bobby Roode gets a two count!
Roode turned Havoc over and went to apply the crossface, but before he could lock it in, Havoc rolled out of the ring. Roode followed Havoc out of the ring and went to grab him, but Havoc reacted quickly, hitting a knee to the sternum before throwing Roode into the ring steps. Roode sat against the steps, looking dazed, and Havoc charged towards him, hitting a knee to the face! The sound of Roode's head connecting with the steel echoed throughout the arena!
Joey Styles: Oh my god! Bobby Roode might be out cold!
Havoc began talking smack to a barely conscious Bobby Roode, then threw him back into the ring. Just as Havoc was about to slide back into the ring, "Break the Walls Down" hit, and the crowd cheered in anticipation as Chris Jericho stepped out onto the stage. Jericho stood at the top of the ramp, pointing at Jimmy Havoc.
Corey Graves: Joey, I think Chris Jericho wants a piece of Jimmy Havoc!
Joey Styles: There was a lot of tension between Jericho and Havoc earlier, but Jericho is the General Manager now! He can’t be targeting superstars!
Havoc yelled at Jericho, telling him to bring it, and Jericho began walking down the ramp. About halfway down the ramp, he stopped, and a split second later, Bobby Roode hit Havoc with a baseball slide to the back of the head! The distraction from Jericho had allowed Roode time to recover, and the Glorious One took full advantage, throwing Havoc back into the ring then hitting the Glorious DDT! Jericho looked satisfied, and he walked back up the ramp as Roode hooked the leg of Havoc. The referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Joey Styles: Well this one is over, and it's Bobby Roode that gets the victory. Although I can’t help but wonder if Havoc would have been the one celebrating right now if it weren't for Chris Jericho...
Corey Graves: What are you talking about, Joey! Jericho didn't do anything... that was a glorious performance by Bobby Roode!
Roode continued to celebrate his victory as Warfare went off the air.
